So many background possibilities! :o

Both my mom and my dad's side come from different lineages. My dad's family hails directly from Scotland, my great grandmother actually came from Scotland herself. :) Ironically my great grandfather was Irish. :P My mom's family came from Germany long ago, I am unsure on who was the first to come here though. So I have a lot of Scottish/Irish/German descent.

The side of my father of the family came from Italy, while the side of my mother came from Spain. Both of them came from Brazil because of war.

Wow...both my parents are from Mexico. On my mom's side, my great, great grandma was African American. On my dad's side I have ancestors from Spain.

Not really sure any more.

My mum's side is native american, while my dad's side is a mix of polish and irish.  To be honest, I don't know much about my dad's side :\...

My father's family came from Germany. Around Thuringia, to be more precise, and then there's other parts of that side that come from Poland, England, Scotland and Italy. My mother's side meanwhile comes from Hungary.

My ancestry has three ethnic branches that I can see: Europe (The Netherlands which is classified as West-European), the Arawak peoples (Native South America but actually Caribbean in my case) and Africa (unknown from where exactly since they were imported to Suriname, my paternal grandmother's birthplace).

All eight of my great grandparents have Dutch surnames. Three of whom were Arawak, one African and the other four were Dutch as far as I know.

My ancestors, as far back as I can know for sure, are German.  German on both my father's side and my mother's side, and I'm fairly sure both of her grandparents moved here from Germany.  I'm certain my grandfather did.

I am fully Cossack, which is a cultural variation of the Russian people brought on by centuries of living on frontiers and depending on the cossack host, (or tribe as some might call it.), interbreeding with local Tartar populations in some cases, like the Zaporohian Cossacks for instance. As far as my host goes, it is solidly of Russian origin.

From what I know, most my ancestry can be traced back to Germany. However, I do also have roots somewhere in Hungary or around that area.

I remember my great grandmother mentioned I have Polish, French, Irish, and Native American (Sioux) ancestors. I think she once said Cleopatra is one of my ancestors, but IIRC, it was my mom telling me she said that, and nobody mentioned me having any Egyptian, Greek, or Roman ancestry, so I'm not sure.

Btw fun fact, everyone who was born within a certain number of years (IIRC it's around 1000-1100 and later) has common ancestors. This explains why all of the presidents share ancestors, we all share ancestors with everyone. If it takes a mother and father, and the mother and father each take a mother and father to be born, then it's easy to see how everyone can possibly be related to some extent.

Dad's side: French, French and French.

Mom's side: Algeria. My mother lived about 4 years in Algeria before moving to France with her family.
