MLP - Cupcakes. That lovable creepypasta.

Doctor Who - Too many DW posts on my tumblr dashboard pressured me into watching.

Harry Potter - Got high on Potter at the tender age of 8, when I got the first book as a birthday present.

The only fandom I'm in is ponies. Started with Fallout: Equestria, then a summer of binge reading romance stories on FiMFiction. THEN I watched the show.

MLP FIM: I was looking up my cat's name (Luna) and found a picture of Princess Luna, then I looked her up on YouTube and the rest is history!

Doctor Who: Doctor Whooves, simple as that.

Pokemon: I found a video (Eevee and Friends) and was hooked.

Star Wars: My dad got the original trilogy on blu-ray for Christmas and we watched it and I really liked it.

Quantum Leap: Me and my brother found it on Netflix (Our Grandma used to watch it when it was on).

The Brony fandom is pretty much the only fandom I am currently active in. I previously joined the following fandoms...

Star Wars: My dad sat my brother and I down to watch the original episodes on VCR when we were toddlers.

Star Trek: Same story, but my mom did it.

Harry Potter: I was sent to my grandparents' house, with nothing to do but read books they had. Guess which one I found?

Furry: I found the Internet and acknowledged that I had always liked anthropomorphic animals.

Pokemon: My mom gave me her old Gameboy and Pokemon Red.

Fallout: I played watched my dad play Fallout 3.

Dr. Who: I watched a bit after finding constant mentions of Dr. Whooves.

Lord of the Rings: After watching the full trilogy, I learned at an early age that I could do a near-exact impression of Gollum (still can). I became a mini celebrity at my grade school.

Marvel: I watched Spiderman.

DC: I watched the Dark Knight.

Halo: My cousin was a big Halo fan, and I asked if I could play it with him. He let me, and it was amazing.

Call of Duty: I have no idea. I guess I just played a Call of Duty game at some point.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Basically, I found a crap ton of MLP fan works that I downright loved. I didn't watch the show a full two years after my exposure to the Brony fandom. It's a great show, but it didn't draw me in initially. The community did.

Too many to mention, really. But I'll just tell you goobers my top 5.

Homestuck - the Internet. I got curious as to what these 'colorful gray-skinned deviants' are. It never occured to me that they were called TROLLS. That are actually ALIENS.

MLP - also the Internet. First, the vivd colors and the characters got me hooked followed by the series in whole. I was kind of shocked with the brony community as well. Never occured that a bunch of guys could like this show but here you are :)

Hetalia - its an anime. About countries. And there's Feliciano/N. Italy. It feeds my inner nerd like that.

The Community - I forgot what channel it showed... but it was hilarious and I love the speeches!

Digimon - TV. I was a kid back then, at the ripe age of 8. Kind of like Pokemon but different. And not too mainstream. (who's excited for the new series??)

Other than those five, I guess almost every anime and cartoon in existence. But I don't gush over those unlike these pretties up here.

Well let's start with the fandom of the show this site is based on and go on from there!

My Little Pony: I have a few friends who are bronies and I never understood why it was so popular so I decided to give it a shot. Didn't expect to like it really. Surprise, surprise! After the first couple of episodes I got hooked!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Started out by watching reruns of the first cartoon as a kid. Yeah I was thrown of a bit by Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation (and back then I didn't know that it was originally a comic) but once the 2003 show came around, I was there to stay in the fandom.

Transformers: Started with Beast Wars as a kid and have been a fan of Transformers ever since.

Spider-Man: Same case as above, watched Spider-Man The Animated Series ('94) as a little kid and I stuck around. There's a bit of a rough patch right now but hopefully things will get back on track. (I heard Miles Morales is going to replace Peter Parker as Spider-Man, I really rather he wouldn't. I don't have an issue with Miles but he will never replace Parker.)

Star Wars: Again, watched the original trilogy as a kid. Yeah, prequels sucked but on the bright side we have Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels! That's more than enough to make up for them!

Star Trek: You know, while the Abrams movies are despised by the Star Trek fandom (and rightfully so) for butchering the Star Trek fandom, I do have to give the first Abrams film credit as it was my gateway into the Star Trek fandom. After watching the 2009 film, I watched The Next Generation and I loved it to bits! Yeah, after watching TOS, TNG and DS9, the 2009 film really doesn't hold up but still it's thanks to it that got into Star Trek. With that said, It's an okay movie. Star Trek Into Darkness on the other hand I have a major issue with! Not looking forward to the third one!

Doctor Who: Similar to My Little Pony, I wanted to check this out after seeing its popularity. However, instead of starting with the 2005 relaunch as everybody kept suggesting, I decided to watch from the very first episode (An Earthly Child, 1963) and continued on from there as it would have felt like I started way too far into the series and that I'd be missing out. I have to say, I am GLAD that I started with the Classic Series! I like the Modern Series and all but it really does pale in comparison to the classic series! I can go on and on with the issues I have with the Modern Series. So yeah, I have a differing opinion on Doctor Who than the rest of the fandom and if anyone wants to get into Doctor Who, you'll bet I'll recommend a classic story over a modern one! Again, I like the Modern series but the Classic Series is far superior.

While binge watching a youtube channel called "Know your meme" I came across a video explaining bronies, I got curious, watched the video, and started to watch some show clips before getting hitched.

Hyperdimension Neptunia - Played Re;Birth1 on steam and watched the anime.

Suguri - Love Suguri in 100% OJ and decided to follow her game series.

Mortal Kombat - Always loved the characters, their designs, the world, and lore of the games.

Skullgirls - Tried it out and fell in love with it for the same reasons as Mortal Kombat.

Tales of - I've played a few games in this series. Symphonia and both Xillia games. I love the worlds and characters, especially Xillia's characters.

There are way more fandoms I'm part of, this is but a small taste of it.

Doctor Who - I just started watching after hearing good things about it. Next thing I know, I'm hooked!

Visual Kei - Well, this on is kind of complicated. I can't really remember the first time I got into it. It started with just a few bands, only to get over a dozen of them later. Now, I can't stop listening to it. It's so addicting. <3 It's one of my favorite fandoms ever.

Pokemon - At first, I hated pokemon an also Pikachu. I couldn't stand it. Then, one day, I gave it a try. I played Pokemon Yellow for the first time, and ever since then... I've been a Pokemon addict since then.

Loki/Tom Hiddleston - This all started on November 11th 2013. I was watching Thor 2 in theaters, and omg Loki was being a sassy little shit! I couldn't get over how hot he was. I got hooked on him and later, I started getting into Tom himself. I've liked Tom ever since then and still do too!

I can't think of anythign else so... yeah.

DBZ:  Watched the show as a kid, continued to watch it.  The rest is history...

Kinnikuman/Kinnikuman Nisei(Ultimate Muscle):  I watched the show on 4KidsTV and upon looking it up, I found out there was a manga series for it.  Also watched the first gen(kinnikuman) on youtube or read the scans of the manga on various manga sites(like mangafox).

Star Trek:  My mum had the ST:TNG series on VHS and we would always watch re-runs on tv.  My favourite is ST: DS9 though.

Anime:  From watching DBZ and Ultimate Muscle, I didn't know what anime was before watching them.  Those two were pretty much my entry point for anime, overall.  I watched anime like:  Ginga Densetsu Weed, Bleach, Junjou Romantica, Vampire Hunter D, SAO, etc...

MLP:  My mum had recorded the original movie on VHS and used to play it back for me when I was little.  I used to watch gen 1 re-runs when I was little.  I lost touch with the series until gen 4 came out.  I liked the art style and thought I'd give it a go, been enjoying it since season one came out.

Transformers: I watched the G1 series and eventually found my way to Seibertron.com.

Gwar: my friends let me listen to them and I've been addicted to their shows since Ragnarok.

Warhammer 40K: I got into it after saying "Screw it" to TCGs since i had to keep buying new cards. The older guys at my comic store played it so I picked up the rule book and enjoyed it ever since.

Dungeons and Dragons: My comic book store had the books out, and let me read a few of them. my friends and I still play once a month.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Archie Comics. Eventually dropped it because I felt the fans were crazy and the story of the comics kept getting worse.

Final Fantasy: FF2 for the SNES. Dropped it after FFX.

MLP: The internet. I can't point to what drew me exactly, I just saw a little on YT and got dragged down the well. Now I write fanfics for it. x3

The above post clearly was meant to offend, and if you feel insulted by it, please use the 'close browser' button and discuss it with someone who knows not to take the internet too seriously.

MLP: Some of my friends tried to get me into watching the show, but I always told them I didn't want to. After watching Epic Pie Time and listening to some songs from the show, I decided to marathon the first three seasons.

Naruto: I didn't watch most of the beginning episodes, but playing the first Ultimate Ninja game for PS2 I was instantly hooked. There was a big three day marathon of it on Cartoon Network, and after seeing it I wanted to watch the show more than ever.

Anime: I always watched them when Toonami was on in the afternoons back in the day. I never knew they were anime but I enjoyed watching them all the same. After seeing one of my friends in middle school bring in a manga of Naruto, I wanted to know more about anime so I looked more into it. After watching so many different types of anime I was instantly hooked into seeing more anime.

Dragonball Z: I always used to watch it every day I got home from school. I saw every episode and saw some original Dragonball back when it was on Toonami as well. I also got into the fandom when I played the original Budokai on the Playstation 2.

The fandom I participate most in is MLP, and I discovered it through sheer boredom on a Netflix binge-watching day. I didn't expect to like it at all, but alas, that night I had already speeded through season one and half of season two. My other fandoms include Death Note, Attack on Titan, and Black Butler, all of which I decided to have a look at after seeing so many posts of it on sites like Tumblr.
