movies/tv Anypony know of any good animes that are not rated MA?

Azumanga Daioh is really funny, and as it follows a cast of pretty ordinary high school girls, the more possible objectionable content is entirely absent.

Hikaru No Go is also a really good coming-of-age kind of anime... it runs quite long, but is definitely worth it. You'll never have thought an anime about playing a board game could be interesting or exciting, but it really is.

I would recommend Yuki Yuna is a Hero, Fruits Basket, Your Lie in April, Full Metal Alchemist, and Cute High Earth Defense Club Love.

One I would really suggest is Inuyasha yes there is some fight scenes but they dont usually last very long and not much blood or nudity is shown. The show is more of a romcom that takes place in feudal era japan maybe with a few fight scenes tossed in here and there.

If you want something that's both somewhat dark/sad but still very cheery and friendly, you should try Hoshi no Kaabii or Bomberman Jetters.  I've watched both and they're amazing.

-Arietty-a movie about tiny people and stuff...can't tell you details.

-Ponyo-a movie about water people...can't tell you details.

(Here it comes) -Totoro-you know.

A really good Anime for you that is not aimed at an older audience and without all of this violence and sexy stuff is "Tama and Friends"

4kids dubbed it back in 2001 and its pretty hard to find on the net.

Can't help but recommend Azumanga Daioh enough, same as some others already have. It is definitely in the top 10 (possibly 5) of my all time favourite anime. Just finished rewatching recently and it is still so funny, simple, cute and charming. The only complaint anyone could have over it is sometimes the animation can be a little lazy/cheap looking, but it's overshadowed by the excellent comedy dialogue and visual cues on display. Another comedy I'd definitely tell you to try is School Rumble; it's a zany, sometimes surreal, rom-com, but not in the traditional sense as it plays with a lot of stereotypes and tropes. It has a couple genuine touching moments too.

Angel Beats is a must in my top 10 (re-watched that recently too, actually re-watching all my anime from A to Z, currently on B starting with Baccano!). But back to Angel Beats; it's about a group of high school kids who have died (not a spoiler as they're all aware from the start) and are in a kind of purgatory high school fighting against "God" and an "angel". It's not as action heavy as the premise makes it sound, but does have a little and has plenty of comedy and some major feels (if you don't cry at minimum of 3 episodes of the 13 then you're a heartless robot).

One Piece is my favourite series, but at 700+ episodes it's a difficult one to recommend people to get into if they're wanting something with a sense of completion that they can watch over a couple weeks. I would say try the first 10 episodes and if you feel hooked enough to settle in for a long and majorly satisfying ride then stick with it, otherwise it's probably not for you. Same goes for any long running shonen series like Naruto, etc. On the opposite end of the spectrum if you want something with short, cute, funny and sometimes historically informing episodes then give Hetalia a go.

Alright, here i'll suggest a few.

Madoka: What everyone else said. If you didn't end up watching this, please do. It's been two years and i'm still not over this wild ride. It's also fairly short at 12 episodes, 22 min each.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Do you like giant robots fighting other giant robots? If so, this is the show for youuuuu! Obviously, there's some violence, and some swearing, but nothing big enough to warrant an M rating. It's mostly rated T because of this girl called Yoko, who is pretty fanservice-heavy (but don't worry, there is far more to her than that; she is one of the toughest characters in the show). But there is no gore. This is honestly my favorite anime of all time. Basic plot is; because of this monster king unleashing huge robots on the earth, humanity has been driven underground to survive. Diggers are people that constantly dig around their underground home looking to expand, looking for materials, etc. Simon is one of these diggers. Simon's "bro" (best friend), Kamina, has dreams of returning to the surface and kicking out that monster king and making humanity great again. At first, these dreams seem like they'll never be fulfilled, but when Simon's digging, he finds a little, mini mecha that he can pilot. This is good timing because one of those huge robot attacks Simon's underground home. Simon and Kamina hop in that little robot, fight off the big one with the help of a sniper called Yoko who appeared to help them, and then set off on an adventure to defeat the evil king. I suggest getting to at least Episode 9; it starts off very slow but speeds up when it hits Ep. 9. Ep. 9 is when the plot starts to really get engaging. It has a lot of over-the-top action, a lot of drills, and has a really great cast of characters. It also has such a great message/moral.

Have the courage to think and act on your own. And have the courage to disobey.

The Prince of Tennis is a really awesome sports anime and the main character is a pretty cool protagonist. I would check it out for at least the first four episodes. You don't have to like tennis to like it either.
