Big Mac and his Love Life

So is Big Mac still dating Cheerilee? Cause I feel like he's now maybe going to date one of Pinkie Pies sisters, the shy one. And if Big Mac ever got married to a pony, who would it ultimately be? And who's to say Big Mac even wants to get married? Would you like to see him with somepony else? Is it right for the development of Big Mac?

I don't think anyone has ever shipped so hard as in the new ep.

I never thought he was dating Cheerilee personally I thought they were good friends who were adult enough to joke in front of the crusaders as for Marble Pie I just don't know if we will see any more of them together or it was just a cute nudge to them both being rather shy.

I don't think Big Mac ever dated Cheerilee (the love poison incident dosen't count). As to whether he dated anypony else in the past is a good question, Big Mac is heavily implied to be popular with mares in various fanworks and I could see that being the case in cannon as well. It is also implied though that Big Mac is a bit shy, probably not as much as say Fluttershy but enough to where I could maybe see more forward mares making him a tad nervous. That is not to say he didn't or dosen't have any crushes, I wouldn't be surprised if him taking Smarty Pants was motivated by a crush on Twilight. It seems like Big Mac would probably going for a more quiet and patient mare like Fluttershy, Marble Pie or possible somepony like Twilight though I think Twilight is a bit less likely.

 

I don't think such a development is necessary for Big Mac, but it could be done without negatively impacting his character of the show. I for one wouldn't mind seeing an episode where he gets a stalker, it would be hilarious.

It was never stated that Big Mac was dating Cheerilee.

Hanging out with someone doesn't necessarily mean a romantic relationship is going on.

 

I personally ship FlutterMac, but hey, ship and let ship.

It indeed would be a significant step, it is one that is a bit unlikely to happen in the show though interestingly enough there are rumors that Pinkie Pie will get a boyfriend in season 5 though with how late we are in season the rumor dosen't seem likely to be true. If any member of the mane 6 were to get into a relationship though I would like to see one that you wouldn't suspect like Fluttershy or Pinkie Pie.

I never really expected much of a love life out of a pony who's main vocabulary consists of 'Eeeyup' and 'Nope'. Sure, he is a sweetheart once you get to know him as we have seen, but how does he get anything like this started in the first place? 

 

I always knew that he was not dating Cheerilee, but I never really expected anything else to come up after that either. Now with Marble, even with such a tiny tease, a massive amount of opportunities have opened for this. I hope for the best, because I want to see more Marble Pie in the future. :3 Her and Big Mac hook up? Boom! She could be talking then.

Big Mac and Cheerilee have been seen walking together in the background of one episode (I forget which) and in the Equestria Girls movie.  There was also that scene where Cheerilee fainted after hearing Big Mac sing during the Ponytone's concert.  So there's more shipping fuel between those two than just what happened in  the episode Hearts & Hooves Day.

 

Marble/Big Mac also has a lot of shipping potential but it's too early to tell just yet if it'll set sail.  So far Cheerilee is up on points though.

I think Big Mac has about as much of a love life as any other main character on the show - that is to say, none to speak of. At most, Cheerilee's only jokingly flirted with him (Filli Vanilli) or to scare the Crusaders. While he and Limestone did have a very deep, meaningful conversation in the most recent episode, I'm not sure anything will come of it except a lot of fanfics.

Exactly! I really REALLY want to see at least one character have a love life like this, I don't count Cadence and Shining because that was immediate. I would LOVE to see a character like Big Mac, who is not a main character completely, get a love life that is actually legit and not the result of a super mega love poison of chaos. Love shouldn't be something that is outright forbidden in this show and Big Mac being with Marble, that could be the way to start something, plus, super cute couple? Yes please.

It could also help bring the Apple and Pie families even closer, and I love their interactions in the recent episode. There is the possible relation but it is implied to be a very distant one should it be there.  With how much people are freaking out about the possible relate even with it being so distant they would need to confirm there is no relation for such a thing to work in cannon though it is indeed doable. It would also be adorable to see Pinkie Pie's reactions to something like this.
