That makes me think that Starlight will be the antagonist for a while in the sense of being the catalyst of the plot, but I the end antagonist will be Nightmare Moon again or (hopefully), Nightmare Star

Alot of fans have been hoping for something like that with nightmare star.

having Starlight work together with Twilight to fix the problems she unleashed, and honestly I feel that would work best since, while I feel she's a good antagonist I don't feel she's really "2 parter" villain tier due to lacking the magical muscle of others. Having her unleash problems beyond her control and having to work with twilight would be a great ending and make her actually doing a heel face turn work well due to showing her WHY her actions were wrong compared to the normal "Rainbow laser makes them sorry" method that was used for Sunset and Nightmare moon.

 

that being said, the Facebook post showing ponyville and vaguely talking about it like a orwellian nightmare makes me think Starlight will say the villain the entire episode

Currently, I got a headcanon of why Starlight is who she is:

 

I wouldn't be surprised she studied at the school for unicorns, but she had to deal with being subpar with more skilled unicorns, AND, being made fun for it. If that case is true. I think her main bully might be a certain pre reformed bacon hair might have shaped her view

The big problem I have with this is I know how its gonna end. Twilight's gonna be all sad and hopeless, Spike's gonna give her an inspiring speech, and she is going to get the Mane Six back together one by one and defeat Starlight Glimmer. And by the time season 6 rolls around, nothing will have changed.
