Hand vs hoof appendage wrestle?

Which hold the advantage in let's say a hoof/hand wrestling match. Remove the pony's overpowered, super strength (I'm looking at you fan fiction writers) and make both the human and pony have similar strength, so it's just hand vs hoof.

Would the human hold the advantage due to dexterity and overall flexibility? Or would the pony still win?

Hoof

Many people I've arm wrestled with have the habit of wasting too much energy via gripping my hand super tight, a habit even I have to deal with, though at least I don't try to crush my opponent's hand with my grip. After all, grip strength needs to be applied for the hands to keep together and the game continued.

That being said, human vs pony with similar strength, the pony most likely wins, since the human has to additionally worry about gripping the pony's hoof tight enough to keep the game going, while all the pony needs to worry about is bring that hoof down to the opposing side.

If we're talking about an average human vs. a MLP pony it comes down to which MLP pony we're talking about. If it's any average pony I would put my bet on the human, if it's Applejack or Maud Pie I think they would be a bit stronger than the average human.

But then again If we're talking about the modern phone clicking office sitting human yeah I think MLP ponies might be stronger since they use less technology.

You guys...

Over-gripping with the hand is not how to win...

It's all about leverage, and the strength of one's forearm and bicep.

Average human vs. [AJ or Maud] : likely pony wins.  Otherwise, likely the human wins.
