Can you fall asleep whilst doing something else?

I need my brain to be as quiet as possible whenever I'm trying to fall asleep. Although, music does help me to fall asleep faster.

Does a running fan count?  That provides sleeping help.

No way. I can barely fall asleep. I can't even fall asleep while my brain is free associating hardly. 

To sleep, I need it pitch black, the temperature has to be perfect, and beyond the steady currents of air produced by my fan it need to be QUIET. 

If I'm thinking or fretting or anything else, I ain't sleeping.

No I am a very light sleeper. I can only have certain noises in my vicinity when I'm going to sleep.

A few years ago, this may have been what led to a scratched right eye on my part with hand rubbing it.  Got almost a year to continue medications.

I sometimes fall asleep while watching YouTube videos, although it’s rare. I’ve noticed it’s usually people with British accents that put me to sleep so I guess I find the general British accent to be relaxing? Or maybe boring? I dunno.

Yes, it happens a few times that i fall asleep while I watched something like a show, a youtube video or a football game, but it is usually becuase I am really tired at that day (from work or while I am sick). It also happens once that I falled asleep while a astronomy lecture, not becuase the theme was boring (it was really interesting), but becuase it was on a monday at 16 PM after a long day with a docent who talks really slow and silent. That was to much for my tired body. XD

Yes but I’ll say when it’s happened it’s not been anything dangerous I was doing. Whereas I have a cousin who fell asleep while driving and wrecked her car.

yes absolutely, MUCH to the chagrin of the people who were talking to me as I fell asleep.
