Occasionally, I would get mini heart attacks frantically searching for where I placed my phone.

Needless to say, at these moments, I was holding it the entire time.

Wanted to fix myself some Coffee, while I was imitating an AD back then about men capable of doing two things at once, the guy was saying the 1 table (1x1=1 1x2=2...) did that and fixed a coffee with orange juice instead of milk

One of my less funny duhs, was when I withdrew money from the ATM machine, realized later that I couldn't find my card and searched the whole mall for it. I was extremely fortunate that it was still in the ATM machine. -_-'

There have been plenty of moments when I've thought, "what the heck was I thinking?" but that's usually when I regret saying something. But the a few of the funniest situations were...

I got into the shower with my glasses on.

I tried to take my glasses off although I had already done so (I'm doing that all the time).

I leaped off of a diving board thinking I would actually pull off a good jump and ended up winding myself when I hit the water back-first.

And I've joined many forums and other sites and then forgotten my username and password when I wanted to finally log in three months later. But not this one! :) Started posting right away. :P

There was this one time when I was going to an anime convention this past January. I went out to my car and tried to start it, but it would turn on. I was freaking out because I didn't know what was wrong and being late only made it worse. I called my dad to come outside to help me figure out what was wrong with the car. I found out I somehow didn't turn the gear shift to park and I turned the car off while it was still in drive the night before. After I got the car started, I thanked my dad and headed to the anime convention, while still being very confused about the situation I was in.

One fine early morning (1AM) I was with a friend and we were just chillin playing some vidja games. I had been up for about 22 hours at that point and I decided to tell him something. I said: "You know, you need chinese to update those lasers..." I was trying to say "You need science to upgrade the laser pistol" (he was playing Fallout 4). I said that. Stopped. Then said: "I'm going to bed now" :maud:

Laughter. That's me.

I see it not only as the aspect of a good friend, but also a virtue for life!

To let the world roll over me and my friends (psst that's you)  and enjoy every moment is my life goal.

So let me make you laugh... Let me make you smile... Let me brighten your day... You may be all the better for it

I've done stuff like this far too often in my life. I've searched for my glasses and realize later they are sitting on my face...I've looked for my headphones to realize there sitting in my shirt. I've eaten breakfast and put the milk in the cupboard and the cereal box in the fridge. I've went to put things back like, for example, the cereal and almost accidentally put a brand new box in the garbage can. I've went to adjust my glasses when I wasn't wearing them and looked foolish. I no longer have to worry about glasses related stuff though. I don't wear them that much anymore.

My most recent moment was probably one of the most painful things I have done in a long time. I had finished cooking some mac and cheese for my brother and sister. I was stirring, but some of the noodles feel underneath the grate over the burner. I was trying to keep the kitchen clean so I removed the pot after it was done and turned off the burner. Without hesitation I grabbed the grate with my bare hand and tried to lift it up to clean...needless to say what happened. I had horrible blisters for a long time.

Hmm...

One time I ate a handful of wasabi peas thinking it was some kind of candy.... it wasn't.

I've lost count how many times I get out the door only to turn around realizing I've forgotten my wallet.

Taking a nap, waking up in the afternoon, and thinking it's morning so you get ready for school... then realizing it's the weekend and it's like 5PM.

Washing my hair like 3 times in the shower because I forgot I've already washed it once.

Buying something, then later going to the store and buying the same thing again because I forgot I already bought it.

Not sure if this counts, but I often forget people's names and it can turn into some really awkward situations.

Also, I can often forget what day it is... oops.

And I often forget what I've said to whom, so I'll either assume they know what I'm talking about (when they don't) or I'll tell them something I've already told them (thinking that I haven't).

There's probably a lot more, just can't recall them at the moment, hahaha... :P

If I listed all my duh moments this thread could be reserved for me alone. I had a duh moment recently where I showed up to class even though I wasn't supposed to. I wasted my own time  :scots:

What are some of your Duh moments in life?

Usually trying to remember something I was about to say to someone, but I couldn't remember. I hate those moments so much! And it is kinda like an insult when the person you talked to says "you will remember soon" or "it usually comes to you later".

I baked some chicken in the oven once.   I placed it on the oven when done.  A few seconds later I wanted to move it, and grabbed the pan while forgetting to put my oven mitt back on.

Was not pleasant.

Here's a couple.

I once went to the store to get some milk. Walked right up to the automatic doors and pondered why they weren't opening. And then realised that it was Sunday and that the store was closed on a Sunday. Made even more embarassing by the giant sign above the doors stating the store opening hours.

Second one. Plugging in the vacuum cleaner and hitting the on switch, only to discover that there is no power. Then realise that I've forgotten to switch it on at the wall.
