Ello!

If all of you here could have your own familiar, which could be anything, what would it be? Keep it reasonable please.

 

Personally, I would have a cat with turquoise fur that would resemble a husky, but still a cat.

probably a puppy, because they are entheusiastic about every little thing and they are also really akward but they make people happy  and the puppy would need really long ears and floppy paws, and a multycolored coat if possible

A three-toed sloth. I'd call it Claws or Barrage or something equally intense.

 

We'd just take it in turns getting the remote/snacks so one of us doesn't have to get up when watching stuff.

Ehh probably just something boring like a dog. In my defense, I really do identify with dogs, so optimistic and loyal, two traits that anypony who knows me can tell you I'm full of to perhaps sickening levels depending on your tolerance level for earnestness. So having a familiar, a magical assistant that is also an extension of one's self, that has similar qualities of happiness and loyalty would be the best companion for me.

It may sound... uninspired (and that's putting it lightly), but I believe that, if I were to have a familliar, it would probably take the guise of a raven. I would not give It a name, unless It presented one to me, since we name what we know and posess, and It would be neither. (There's a saying that you can't have a Raven, it has you)

I reckon It would choose this appearance based on my fondness of Corvids, the fact that Raven is my "spirit animal" and I share many traits that are attributed to the animal.

It would probably perch on my shoulder as I do things, offering advice.

I'm not a bug fan, but I always thought praying mantises were badass. Unfortunately I'd be likely to step on it, so perhaps a miniature donkey because they're just so stinkin' cute.

I would like a Tuxedo cat, who wears a top-hat and monocle. Nobody would notice his apparel, or that he talked in a very proper British accent. He would walk on all fours, or ride on my shoulder in public, but stand on his hind legs when we were alone.
