I saw it, it's good. Really good. Possibly better than the original even!

Don't hate on me for this, but I think it looks like crap.

Honestly, to me, it just looks like another Teen Titans Go.

But... I might give it a chance, if it is any good.

I finally saw the episodes. It was okay. Not the best but defensively not terrible. I watched all three episodes leaked already on kisscartoon and I think the first two was alright, but it did feel a little gimmicky, there's too many jokes and sometimes they don't fit PPG, it has a cutesy tone to it that's exaggerated and it doesn't feel bold or dynamic enough. I watched the original to get a better contrast, and while the animation, art style has improved, the overall tone and comedy is a little too peppy and happy. I kid you not there was one scene where Blossom and Buttercup rap battle in order to decide who goes with Bubbles to a boy band concert. Blossom was jinxed and there was JINX! And JINX BROKEN! And it just came off as awkward. The plots weren't that interesting but they did keep my attention. I did like Man Up even though the villain was clearly ripped off from Clarence, I liked the comedy and Buttercup learning to calm down her anger is a good idea for an episode. Even though this was done before, this was effective. Princess Buttercup was another decent episode, but they clearly made Princess Morbucks act like a recurring character, all the Girls act like they've met before so isn't that a bit confusing? And just saying "princess Morbucks" in a fancy title isn't going to cut it. And don't get me started on Escape from Monster Island. That episode was the definition of wasted opportunity

Guess what! All the Powerpuff girls go to Monster Island to save the Mayor, they are WAY more interested in deciding who goes to a boy band concert!

(Insert Facepalm which sends me to the centre of the earth here)

Come on, guys! That episode idea was practically gift wrapped for you! We don't need any boy band concert conflict to make things interesting! You already have a giant monster island and the episode could just be a epic adventure story of the Girls saving the Mayor. We don't want the Girls to be arguing over a One Direction concert! (sighs) well at least the action was cool and some parts made me laugh.

I really liked Man Up and Princess Buttercup, while not perfect were still pretty decent. I give it a 6-7/10.

But Escape from Monster Island was so terrible and such a wasted opportunity it was so disappointing.

But I really want to like this reboot and I don't want people to think I'm this PPG Scrooge! Is it soemthing I'm missing?

Please tell me Im not The only not one who thinks?!

Why is no one listening to me?!!!!

*Winces in pain from the ear-rape inducing intro*

All right, all right, back to the topic, i watched the first three episodes and i gotta say, it's decent enough and enjoyable. The animation is polished, but doesn't fit very much the style of the PPG. The redesigns are neat, but the voices could've been better. As for the episodes, they're pretty fun to watch, i gotta say, they feel like the classical chapters from the show, and it's nice to see more characters coming back. Yeah, perhaps this show will have a chance.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with a lot of the negative opinions here:

I felt the intro was more modernized and worked well with the show. I also felt the characters are more dynamic now than just "this is the tough one, this is the girly one and this is the brainy one." Girls are more complex than that. The tough girl can still like boy bands, the brainy girl has quirks, etc. As far as the plots go, this show is clearly trying to be a DIFFERENT show, it's not just trying to emulate what the previous show did, it's clearly trying to try its own style and if you look it when taking your nostalgia glasses off, you'll find that they are trying to give a little for everyone, a new modernized approach for a new audience and tie ins for the old audience.

Ultimately I think this is a good attempt at a fresh take.

The reboot is actually trying to live up and honor the original show unlike a certain reboot show on the same channel that doesn't do anything right at all.  Back on topic, it may take some time getting used to the new voices on the Powerpuff Girls, still holds up though.

Can we all just agree that the reboot is okay? Personally I still prefer Theo tigon all, not just because of nostalgia but it had a certain cheesy yet dynamic charm to it. It's like a time capsule of early 2000s before social media and Internet was just starting out. I think it was more dark, yet more satirical and funny. I think this reboot is good and I m glad the franchise is still going strong. I think the characters are the same, but I expect character development, the style while slightly generic still has some unique touches here and there, the humour is great although gimmicky at times; that fucking time card that spelt Later as in "L8r" I flipped my shit. But I like the redesigns, I like how hey are more expressive, the plots while by the book and aren't trying anything different like being more complex, it's still enjoyable and I was invested.

Man Up was a funny epaidoe. I like the character interaction and I love a story of Buttercup calming herself and her mentor is a arm flaying tube man :D princess buttercup was fun but a bit flawed and the Dervytantes didn't get much screen time to show their personalities or see much of Buttercup socialising with them, just quick shots of her playing deathball. But it's still decent and cool.

But the episode that severely doubted it was Escape from Monster Island. Guess what! All the Powerpuff girls go to Monster Island to save the Mayor, they are WAY more interested in deciding who goes to a boy band concert!

But people seem to like this episode and I'm the only one who hates it, is it me? am I just Not getting the joke?

If I was a superhero, I would out my fangirl fantasy aside and focus on finding the person in trouble!

Why do people like that episode?! I thought it was horrible!

the girls did a fucking rap battle to decide whether or not someone gets the tickets. there was one scene where Blossom and Buttercup rap battle in order to decide who goes with Bubbles to a boy band concert. Blossom was jinxed and there was JINX! And JINX BROKEN! And it just came off as awkward. This epaidoe was the definition of wasted opportunity.

I just watched that unicorn/transgender episode. If it was indeed intended to parallel transgender issues then it was disturbing and gross. Calling him a "freak" and them literally making him a monster :/ ....good call /sarcasm.

This pretty much sums up my opinion:

Shit, I'll just let the show answer for me.

It's goddamned terrible. Shoddy writing lacking any substance and brim-filled with terrible memes that weren't even funny 3 years ago. Trying to hard to be hip and with the times but failing to actually progress as a well written story. When they do try something, you just end up with Horn Sweet Horn. Nobody wants that.

While I'll admit it's not the original and will never live up to the original, they've at least tried and put in effort unlike other reboots of TV shows and movies, the theme song is fantastic and very catchy, I like that they brought back Tom Kenny, Tom Kane, Roger L. Jackson, and Jennifer Hale and the three new voice actresses aren't awful, but they don't really live up to the original three actresses. I find this reboot enjoyable and not the worst animated show I've seen on TV, so I'll definitely be watching more episodes!

It's okay, i guess. Nowhere near as good as the original,  and the "Horn Sweet Horn" controversy was a bad move. It's acceptable i suppose. BUT (and this is a huge but) the outdated memes have gotta go.

I saw it on youtube (i don't have cn) and i like the old series better. The new series lacks in...something. and gets a bit too dramatic for me? something like that O.o

Oh and i miss when bubbles was more fluttershy like. cuter and kinda timid.

Aka "LadyPKchu".

I changed my name again cuz lately fluttershy has been more my favorite pony :3 I like her innocence, and I think I may get active in the fluttershy fan club. I really like a lot of the other main 6 too though.

I'm also a FlutterDash supporter.

I still love Korrina from pokemon a lot and plan on keeping my Korrina profile for now :P

I wouldn't say terrible. What I've seen wasn't the worst thing ever, or even that awful. I think it's biggest problem is that it tries way too hard to be like the old show, but forgets what made it work, while anything new it tries either feels dated, generic, or has already been done and done better by other Cartoons. On it's own, it an average, if bland series. But as a reboot, it lacks the energy and creative spark that made the original so great.

To update my original post, I have watched a couple of episodes, as well as Saberspark's review of the PPG reboot.

I can finally now give my final opinion as say that I dislike the reboot. The characters are less like the superheroes they used to be and now more like little girls trying to be cool and "popular".

There were many things I hoped for, such as the reboot not going to be like Teen Titans Go, and be something that I would find enjoyable to watch.

Now, I am still hoping the Samurai Jack reboot to give some redemption for how the other Cartoon Network reboots turned out.

What I still wonder is the episode that featured a pony trying to be a unicorn which apparently offended a lot of transgender people, was the message it was going for really aiming at trans gender people? Cause I watched it and honestly didn't see it as about trans gender people, but about a pony wanting to be a unicorn, maybe I'm dumb I don't know.

I actually didn't even think of trans people when I saw it.

For people who are heavily panning this reboot clearly have not seen the anime.

It makes the reboot look legendary quality.

Imagine watching this every single episode (literally) with virtually no shortened version.

Now imagine plots that make no sense, stupid repetitive jokes, bad dubbing, terrible story telling, and turning Buttercup into the exact definition of her stereotype. Like everything about PPG Z is dreadful.

Honestly the biggest thing I come to dislike about this show is that it just feels bland and uninspired. It's unable to stand on it's own. Say what you will about Teen Titans Go! It at least does it's own thing without any regards to fan reception or the original series. But this show just feels like it's playing it way too safe for it's own good. Whenever it try to do something new, it either blows up in its face, or feels been-there-done-that by other Cartoons.

While it's far from terrible, it's still not particularly good. I'm still hoping the series will improve soon, because there are some good ideas in it. They just need to focus less on trying to be the original, and more on just trying to be it's own thing. Also the reason they gave for Miss Bellum's absence made absolutely no sense. If she didn't fit the vision you wanted to go for, then you an at least fill us in on that vision, instead of giving us some vague cop-out answer.

It's that bad. If you think the reboot is bad, you need to see the anime. It makes the reboot look like Shakespeare.

In the anime here's a summary of what happens:

Professor Utonium is just chilling about with his son Ken (yes his son) and they are experimenting with chemical X. Ken accidentally drops like a meat cake into it and it somehow stabalizes it and turns it into chemical Z. Then shortly after the mayor calls and says there is a huge weather crisis, like it's snowing in the desert, severe tornadoes and crap, basically the world's weather is all kinds of messed up.

Ken RANDOMLY decides to try hooking the chemical Z up to a giant lazer and shooting it at the atmosphere. Keep in mind they have JUST made this stuff and have NO idea what it does at all. So they just randomly decide somehow that chemical Z will fix the problem. It shoots out like 3 beams of light energy and a bunch of dark energy ones. The light beams hit 3 random teenage girls and give them super powers, super costumes and like technology. The rest hit all the villains and turn them into villains.

Blossom is a stupid idiot middle school girl who is obsessed with boys and chocolate, and quickly seems to lose any brains she has the moment she sees cute boys or chocolate. Her weapon... Is a yo yo. Which they don't even explain where she got it as she points out she was never good with a yo yo, nor was she carrying one.

Bubbles carries a bubble wand as her weapon which is virtually useless.

Buttercup is literally her stereotype of being a tomboy on STEROIDS. They even go so far as to regularly remind us how much she hates skirts over and over. She dresses like a boy outside of battle and is into "boy stuff" like skateboarding and crap.

The "plots" if you can call them that are often so stupid that they make you wonder if any thought was put into them at all. Mojo has been reduced to more or less an idiot. At one point he stops his evil plan to ask the girls for an autograph.

To top this all off, the dubbing is annoying sounding.

Basically if you watch this show, you will find a new level of appreciation for the reboot. I am amazed that the anime managed to escape being as critically panned as the reboot because the anime is far worse and it goes on for over 50 episodes.

I haven't fully watched any episode so maybe I am not one to comment, but from what I HAVE seen, the humor in this reboot is garbage. Having random, out of nowhere references to internet memes isn't exactly funny.
