     Hey all, at the suggestion of @ (You didn't think I would remember?) I am going to attempt at making a gallery/work in progress thread here on the forums regarding any OCs, Fan Art, or anything MLP related (As it is the current focus of my inspiration).  I've been drawing on and off for quite some time, and I want to start drawing and improving my skills, so expect a lot of experiments and things that are very rough. 

 

     Typically my art is very dark, macabre even, but I will try to refrain from posting anything NSFW.  I hope to be adding to this community and benefit from it's members and their experiences, as I try to share my own.  Expect finish pieces to be brought back up  to this origional post, so I can keep things easy to find for anyone following this.

 

Shout outs to @@Moon Sugar,  @@Odyssey, @, @, and @@MiniKirby123, for their support when I was down on myself.  If it wasn't for all of you, I wouldn't be doing this.  I hope to make it worth your while.

Posted finished piece of Scissor Biter (Changeling OC).  I may have gone a little light on the background but I feel the heavier detail in the mouth and eyes draws the eyes to the focal point.  Hope the lighting works (Was origionally drawing it on a TV monitor, but when moving it over everything felt too light, so I darkened the image a bit).

Actually, was listening to "Lion - Holywood Undead".  Was trying to imagine Bashful Thread/Scissor Biter being brave, and this was as close as I got.

Now that you finished this it looks epic, great to see things are going well for you so far.

So this is the current illustration I am about to undertake.  Figured I would do an action scene of Scissor Biter / Bashful Thread taking on another person in order to meld into the work Giddon (Played by @@Blitz Boom.  Ran into an issue of using Twilight Sparkle's colour scheme for this bit and am struggling to use those colours in a unique way that doesn't scream rip-off.  Hopefull will be done before next post.  (Actually, I am hoping I can see this one through til the end and I'll call it a win).

 

The intent is to make that notorious green flame around Scissor Biter (Right), so this is gonna be another heavy-lighting illustration.  I don't know why, I just always feel if I just use soft lighting it never really comes to task or pops.  Maybe it's just me, but this will be a second attempt and learning to hide the line art (The first Scissor Biter illustration was also my first in trying this method).

 

As always I am looking for critique.

Even the rough sketch shows a good deal of things, and the current progress... Heck, the look in Bashful's eyes alone are epic, and the rest doesn't disappoint either. It's...
