If they rebooted FiM for G5, how would you feel if Twilight got glasses?

If they rebooted FIM for G5, would you be upset if they gave twilight glasses like her equestria girls self? Or would you be upset at the design change?

Well if when they reboot for gen 5, they would probably use different characters. So I doubt Twilight would have glasses since if she was added back in, she would probably play the princess role. You usually don't see Princesses with glasses.

Just because you don't see them with glasses doesn't mean they don't have them for one...and for two if they do a reboot it will either be about family which possibly means the mane 6 having children (unlikely considering it is a kid show) or I could see it being about random characters with the mane 6 being special guests but I don't know sometimes the main reason they end a generation because the actors are either quitting or have to leave for more important reasons and/or the creators are running out of ideas (season 5 and 6 the creators are taking ideas from the fandom). So we will have to see I kind of like the first idea because the mane 6 will be going through parenthood and their children are having their own troubles also the CMC still out there helping can teach them lessons as well plus I would like to see if the mane six will have husbands...and based off canon I can see a few couples (flashlight) and just some others like I can see RD's child spebeing time with his/her father while RD is out with the wonderbolts...until she gets a couple days off and tries to bond with them or even twilight trying to keep her son/daughter studying so much she fails to bond but then she realizes her mistakes and tries to fix or and even the CMC can come in to help all of them with a bullting problem...but hey that's my opinion

1st. Like anything does it NEED it?

and ​2nd. Why not? Changing the style of a character, even a 'mane' one is a pluss in my book, it means they've grown up, they have more stuff to them. Much like when Twilight hit that stage of alicorn-ism, she grew a great big chunk there. She's still the same character, but fleshed out and different.

​The glasses thing if you ask me would appeal to the younger generation as well. I for one as a kid refused to wear glasses cause they made me look silly, but if you take in to consideration that Twilight is a lot of ponies favourite, confirming that it's ok to wear glasses is perfectly accepteble.

Well, her human counterpart has glasses. If they do make an FIM reboot for generation 5, it would possible. The possibilities... are neverending.

I doubt anyone any rational person would take issue with an older Twilight wearing glasses in a subsequent series.  We know that they exist in Equestria for sure, not only does Mayor Mare wear them but also Rarity, usually for close up work, so I'd assume she's a bit long-sighted.

It's a minor design change. Nothing big about it, and I honestly find it cute. However, giving the smart character glasses is an old character design cliche that Twilight has refreshingly broken largely until her EqG counterpart was revealed. Twilight not wearing glasses means more than we'd normally consider.

I wouldn't mind Twi wearing glasses, but I think that should be in G4.5 instead of G5, as the latter would probably make a new universe as previous generations did

well FMA was less of a "reboot" and more a "we're doing this based fully on the manga" type deal XD since the first one kind of did its own thing since the manga wasn't finished fully when they did it.

 

(I know I'm in the minority, but I actually prefer the original FMA anime to the Manga)

Well FiM is the same way, only it didn't go in the direction Faust wanted after partway in.

Kind of hoping FIM more or less has "eaten" MLP, and all future series will be reboots of it like how G1 of transformers ecompasses it so that every series is a reboot nowadays.

Oh, I'd like this! G5 as a sort of Batman Beyond scenario with the Mane 6 in a old mentor role would be wonderful and a perfect way to mix the current universe with a new cast. Maybe even move the setting to a more magitech status.

Personally, I think that it's nice having the character generally portrayed as intelligent not wearing glasses. It's a lovely cliche that she's broken.
