Does anyone else think Season 6 has been a dud so far?

I think just one more season with the Cutie Map callings is fine enough. Besides, Pinkie and Fluttershy could use another episode together, this time as one of the callings, then Applejack/Rainbow Dash, and Twilight/Rarity.

 

Furthermore, Josh Haber may not come back for Season 7, and potentially good riddance too, because he's mostly written episodes not involving any of the Mane Six (well, that is, except for Rainbow Dash in one episode). Plus, Larson didn't put at all much of Applejack or Fluttershy in his last three episodes, nor was he part of Season 6.

Yeah but IMO I think the show has been on a decline since making Twilight a princess. Yes they can sell toys with it but it seems the writers had no idea what to do with her, look at season 4 with how little Twilight episodes there are. I liked 5 but that's properly becuase Larson was at the helm and he already said he is not working on season 7.

 

 

With all the old writers gone it seems the new ones are going to recycle epiosode ideas and lessons. If the deride contuines after the movie I hope Meghan comes back as head writer becuase Josh Harber has to go.

I liked it enough. It's not the most strongest season for our main 6 protagonists but the side characters had some good needed screen time. Season 6 can be called "The Season for secondary characters".

That would explain why a lot of new characters got more recognition.

I don't see why season 6 is so bashed. Every season has bad episodes, duh. It's just the people the one who are getting worse. And season 5 is way more inconsistent than season 6 is.

 

And it has the best finale imo.

 

ranking season wise S4 >S6=S2 > S5 > S3 > S1

 

ranking finale wise S6 > S4 > S2 > S3 > S5 > S1
