Something one of the characters inspired you to do/be?

Is there a hobby/job/lifestyle that a character in the show has inspired you to do/be?

 

I wasn't always hooked on reading, yet I have always knew of the incredible things it can do to your mind, it's almost like a free ticket to exploring the depths of your imagination. But like I said, that wasn't enough to attract me.

 

In "Read it and Weep", one of my favorite episodes, Rainbow Dash, who reminds me in the sense that I wouldn't read a book if I wasn't required to, discovered the fun and awesomeness that is reading, with nothing else to do, and out of extreme and intolerable levels of boredom of course.

 

Something strange though, the way DHX visually conveyed the experience of reading in that episode, almost got my attention like never before...the episode got me slightly interested in reading something over the coming summer, particularly an Indiana Jones book.

 

Has interests like this reached you in your MLP experience...?

Not yet. I'm still relatively new to the whole series though. I do agree that that episode made me think about reading more. never gonna get around to it probably, though /stubbornandlazy

Hmm... well the show, and community in general has inspired me to try harder at everything I do, and just try to be a better person. Does that count?

 

Also, Rainbow Dash has inspired me to be a lot more physically active. I tend to do a lot of running now lol

Applejack has made me embrace mah Southern heritage, even though I was pretty proud of it before hand . I also try to show it by replacing "my" with "mah" when typing (I always say "mah" IRL. It just rolls of the tongue ). I've done it so much I have to correct myself (Thats an example) whenever I say "mah" on anything real life papers, since I basically right "mah" now instead of "my" . You could also say

In the last episode, seeing how well Twilight and Shining Armor cooperated as a brother-sister duo convinced me to try to be less of a (for lack of a better word) jerk to my little sister. Being a big brother myself, that whole concept of the finale and the song B.B.B.F.F really hit home for me.

I guess it was a bit of a reality-checker. It's like the episode was directed straight at me. And I must say, I've been doing a not-half-bad job, and I couldn't be happier. Even though I don't know if my sister has even noticed my change in attitude

They all inspire me one way or another, mostly in small ways like being happier or more honest or kind, but the way they inspire me the most is helping me be not afraid to be myself- I gotta say the Mane 6 really help in that regard.

This show has inspired me to not take myself so seriously. After all, it's pretty hard to hold together any sort of macho persona when going around in a Fluttershy T-shirt.
