Season 7 episode 1 was really about Twilight, it seems the show might be wanting her to take back the main character role. She hasn't really played a main role since season 4 but it appears she is showing up a lot more.

 

The new promo looks like another twilight episode. Thoughts?

Twilight hasn't really interacted with Flurry that much yet as an aunt! This could be really interesting to see! It all depends though. Hopefully there'll be some surprises in here.

I'm happy that Twilight is finally getting episodes dedicated to her, and are not just Starlight episodes.

Plus I did want to see an episode focusing on Twilight taking care of Flurry Heart, and was a little disappointed we didn't get to see that last season, so I am okay with this.

It's nice to see more Twi centric eps, yes. Though the next few episodes are focused on other characters so it's not like this is a return to Season 1: The Twilight Show

So far, Twilight's already spoken more than 2000 words this season in THREE episodes! ...while it took her 8 or more episodes to speak that much in both Seasons 5 and 6. I think Twilight seriously needs a break.

Probably not. Honestly, I would prefer this show focus more on an ensemble than any single main character, because I think focusing too much on Twilight can limit it. Season 1 sometimes shoehorned her into stories which had nothing to do with her so she could learn a lesson, so I'm not sure a return to "The Twilight Show" is really necessary.

She was sidelined a bit in past season so this is a bit of a correction but thats all. Its because she got an episode right after the premiere its feels more than it is.
