Starlight Glimmer was never supposed to feel a part of the Mane 6

Not just me, all of my brony friends around me think she shouldn't be one of mane character, secondary/background one is her best position instead. The reason for why she shouldn't be the "mane 7" have been seen over the fandom(also cause tons of flamewar), so I'll just save my words.

But the thing I'm wondering if she's a hot potato for canon story writers, to write a story about a sudden-redeemed villain, and insert SG into the mane cast seems it's Ha$bro's conspiracy(again).

Even if she isn't supposed to be part of the mane 6, she still doesn't interact enough with the rest of the group outside of Twilight enough to really feel like a part of the show.

The show called "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?" With a title like that I expect an episode of the show to have 1. A pony character with a problem or interacting with a non-pony with a problem 2. That solution helping with friendships between characters.

Like Steve Piranha said she is that special independent part of the show like the CMC not interacting much with the other three of the Mane 6 but at least they have each other. And like people in real life it can be easier to make friends with a more independent person than with a person with a lot of friends that you feel kind of intrusive in their already long term friendships (not that I know what that's like...)

Starlight has been a main character since the start of Season 7. Only haters would deny this.

I never feel like she belong to the mane 6 in the begginning, Starlight is more like independent character like CMC.
