Josh Haber may return as Story Editor

I enjoyed season 6 significantly more than season 7, and I think that has a lot to do with Haber's unassertive approach to story editing. I feel like Lewis & Songco tend to throttle the life out of the scripts they're handed without actually fixing their biggest issues, and while stuff like "The Perfect Pear" benefits from being tightened in that way, I firmly believe that it's also why episodes like "Forever Filly" and "Honest Apple" wound up the way they did. I feel they're more interested with checking boxes off a list than with actual good stories - no other season had anything like "Fluttershy Leans In," for instance. I dislike the way they're managing the show, and I'd rather watch any of the clunky episodes penned under Haber than some of the stodgy rubbish from this season. 

But there must be a middle ground here. Season 6 was fresh to me, but that only happened because a. Vogel and Haber are both excellent writers and b. a lot of writers were seemingly allowed to try out creative ideas that they didn't quite have the chops for. There must be some way to achieve that while also maintaining some degree of focus and quality control. Maybe if Haber, whose writing was consistently glorious in season 6, has learned to assert himself a bit more and gain a better understanding of the show, we might get it. Maybe he'll have co-editor who knows their stuff. I dunno; at this point anything is better than season 7.

I wanted to climb into the mountains and screaming to the stormy sky, when i heard Haber might story editor AGAIN.

I trust Haber as a writer, his episodes are great, a few hiccup cant define him. However, i am against him being story editor again, S6 is my third favorite but i feel it could be even greater, some episodes are playing too safe and borrow too much from cliche stories which LUCKILY works for me because i dont even knows they exists (Gift, Tails, P.P.O.V) but i awere it hurt western viewers.

I want the next season keep going higher and further and Haber might not be a good captain for that, he just a great sailor. Prove me wrong, Haber.

I am still a bit skeptical about S7 thanks to some incredibly mediocre and bad episode that i cant stand (5 of them), and i still afraid there will be more of them in latter half of S7, prove me wrong, lady writers.

That was indeed a nice touch, but that likely came from the boarder or visual side of the equation and not the writer.

This isn't too big of an issue for me. I like Haber as a writer and even though I had some issues with him as a story editor, It was only his first season as the SE and I trust his second will be better. (Meghan wasn't that good in S3 after all.) Plus, it seems like he won't be the only editor this time around.

While I though Season 6 was weaker than the previous seasons in many ways, I still enjoyed it. I'm not freaking out over Haber sharing editing duties. I personally hope the Lady Writers stay on for another season. Their work this year has been pretty stellar so far!

I just realized there is a new episode tomorrow. O.o

I really liked all seasons, but season 6 has indeed very bad episodes like 28 pranks later and apple jacks day off.
