Wow, that's pulling  a heart string right there...damn. I don't listen to her songs, but this is pretty good.

At first, I wasn't sure if I would listen to it before watching the movie. But as I won't see it for months, I decided to do so.

I think Sia's had better songs (my favorites are "Big Girls Cry" and "Unstoppable"), but it was nice. It sounds like a potential grower to me, and the chorus melody is catchy. I can't wait to hear it again in the movie itself!

So that's why this popped up unexpectedly in my Music Unlimited account. Cool!

The lyrics are surprisingly poignant for a Pony story. I'm impressed at the complexity behind the message. It starts off as pretty normal and generic, but they acknowledges internal turmoil and actually suggests strength to own it and feel it. Something that is important to actually grow from pain, is that you don't ignore it. Legit.

I caught the leaked music video. I'm going to take back one thing I said about the animation looking too fluid ... there are a few scenes in the music video that work better with that ultra smooth animation because slow movements look more ... I think natural is the best term I suppose. I think I'm now 100% behind the film's character animations.

Anyway, there is a specific scene where Twilight descends from the clouds. That shot is absolutely gorgeous. She lands and she looks ... well ... like she just endured one hell of an ordeal. She goes to hug her friends ... only saying it's a hug doesn't do this moment justice. She doesn't just hug ... she leans into them in probably the most heartfelt embrace I've seen from this show from those characters. Her exhaustion and relief is palpable. 

Scenes like that work much better with this style and software driving it than they would in just Flash.  OK Pony film if you can give me more of that ... I'm going to love you to death.

This song is already in my top ten pony related songs for it's message and production quality. I'm digging it and the video.

You have no idea how much I echo those thoughts now.

In the end I really wasn't expecting much from this song; maybe something similar to "Try Everything" from Zooptopia that expresses the main theme or one of several themes in a nice manner that make you smile. No; THIS song actually left me misty-eyed when I first heard it, and the video...wow! Yes, it's spoilery, but I tend to believe that the journey is more important than the destination itself. As such, as what @Jeric shared with me I have to watch it....and boy...everything Jeric said rings true.

Give it a few weeks, knowing this fandom I'm sure we will have some covers of it. I'm hoping for an acoustic guitar version myself.
