spoiler The Making of My Little Pony: The Movie

I just got done watching Discovery Family's behind-the-scenes special. I'll say it right here: if you're avoiding spoilers at all costs, make you watch this after the movie if you can. Both because it's chock full of spoilers, and because it was one of the most wonderful behind-the-scenes videos I have ever seen.

A lot of the content featured one-on-one interviews with the cast and crew you can find on IMDb, not to mention a few extras from Daniel Ingram and storyboarders. But the real star of the show was the sampled clips from the movie. And not just the animation, oh no, no. The cinematography. The colors. The stylization. The music.

This is a beautiful movie we have on our hands. It deserves to be seen in theaters. And if it doesn't get the recognition of other animated classics, it definitely needs to be mentioned in some kind of "Top 10 Movies You Missed This Year" list.

No more doubts. No more trepidation. Watch this special, and watch this movie.

Got a chance to see it on Dailymotion.  I'm still struggling to hold in my hype for the movie for another two weeks(I'm gonna see it on my Birthday Weekend).

On the flip side, I actually wish the host for this special was Tabitha St. Germain.  XP

The movie looks like it's going to be a really good animated flick to go see. Anyone complaining about the lack of cinematic 2D animation these days now has a chance to put up or shut up - from the scenes shown there isn't anything there to scare those audiences away.

Lol, so theres that clip where they are on the bridge and Twilight shoots a litte baby laser at the guards and it hits the shield and reflects, than destroys THAT GIANT STONE BRIDGE

 

What is that shield made out of!?

I think that Andrea came across as too prompted. Some of the other cast did as well. I know from watching it that they were coached for delivery so that it is better absorbed by younger kids (not vocabulary but pacing and tone). 

 

That said, the OP is 100% in there is a spoiler in here, but nothing that eagle eyed viewers haven't already picked up on by watching the trailers and spots. It's odd because they kept the one thing that pretty much everything knows from seeing the first full trailer out of this, but they sure they flat out stated stuff.

The reason that Novo lead the Hippogriff's to Seaquestria is to hide as Seaponies from Storm King. Yet not one hint that Tempest is redeemed.

They are still keeping some things somewhat hidden still, like the moral ... but they did show two brief scenes that tie into it.

So yeah skip it it you don't want something nifty spoiled.

It got me hyped. I do recommend seeing it. It gave me a nostalgic 80's Saturday Morning Preview and Classic Disney Animation feel from the Days of the Disney Renaissance age of Animation.

I watch later. I still want to be a little suprised about the movie, even if I know the story by the book now.
