spoiler Chrysalis and Tirek.

Unfortunately I can see at least one of them getting reformed, despite the two of them being portrayed with zero positive qualities what so ever.

I would rather see them get killed off or imprisoned than have to deal with another crappy villain reformation.

I'd rather they get killed off. Why imprison them and run the risk of them just escaping when you can get rid of them permanently?

My main concern is not that they'll get reformed, but at least one of them will probably have to in the end. As much as we love our dastardly villains & such, I'm not sure if it will serve the ongoing story all that well if we get the same thing with these villains over and over. Personally, I can see a reformation work if it's handled well, and honestly, I can see Chrysalis fitting the bill nicely.

Tirek is modelled after classic 80's animation villains with simple motivations. No way does he get reformed. Personally I'd prefer it if Thorax had to end Crysallis as well, or keep her as a recurring villain until she resurrects Grogar in the series finale ... and have Grogar end her himself.

I swear I had better see Grogar in this show, or I'm going to whine like a 5 year old schoolgirl!

I can imagine Chrysalis being reformed after having her magic stolen by Tirek, and understanding what it's like to be in a position of powerlessness. Just like her followers.

Sadly this means she'll become a shiny new bug princess, cause Hasbro has to roll out those new figurines like John Cena needs to roll out a new T shirt.

I don't want to see Chrysalis get killed off because that would make her fans really mad like me, it would also mean that I may have to change my username from her to someone I may not like as much.

Either they get reformed (hopefully not), or they get trapped in the 'underworld' together. I don't think that reforming them would be a good idea since it makes the whole thing messy,  especially Tirek. If he gets reformed whether because of his rage against his brother or some stupid backstory that drove him insane, I don't think it will be a good move for the show.

If they do get reformed, I hope they at least make it believable for us to accept it. Though I'm just hoping we get to see another 'DBZ' like battle again in season 8.

*lots of cookie crumbles fall out of mouth  *

Ehhh I was hoping they'd just put away Tirek and let that storyline be :rarity: .

Don't get me wrong, ideally I think it's great to rehabilitate and reform everyone because forgiveness is great and all that, but for a fictional work such as MLP, well... I think there needs to be some sort of losses that need to be accepted that there's no going back with. There needs to be some imperfections from the ideal to make things interesting and dynamic other than always just going to the same idea again about friendship being magic (although I did like what they did in the season 7 finale).

BUT, they'll probably be reformed anyways and we're going to like their new roles in the show anyways just like the changedlings :fluttershy::derp: .

They could also somehow end up "finding" AJ's parents as they were never really deceased in the first place, "apparently" :maud: .

I hope Chrysalis escapes after she worked with Tirek in the finale and that we see her in the last season again as Grogars right hand. :)

Tirek will be killed off, or imprisoned again.

Chrysalis will be betrayed by Tirek, and Tirek will get killed by her in return, like Tempest and Storm King, the staffs like reusing ideas so i am confident about that theory. :orly: There is no way Tirek will be reformed and by captured again, and there is no way Chrysalis will not be reformed which go against the show's messenge and she is a female character, so i dont think she will get killed. Tirek will get his 'Disney Death' and Chrysalis will be reformed or at least become neutral evil/anti-hero a.k.a not totally evil anymore.

I'm expecting a redux of Twilight's kingdom: Chrysalis teams up with tirek like discord did, gets betrayed, gets redeemed by joining the heroes, cue tirek being beaten.
Probably something where she figures she can keep him in line via some sort of magical lease or control spell and he ends up circumventing it somehow.

Ditto here too. Though granted, I already sound like a whining japanese schoolgirl.

Grogar, heck, even Catarina (Cat people are cannon now! Ya GOTTA!) would be a sharp turn into dark territory!

Thing is, as I see it, Chrysalis is a bit of a Wildcard Rogue. She has been shown, numerous times, that she does not care one bit. Even if reformed or written compliant enough, she's still one to whom Love is something that comes with conditions. She wants others to hurt because of her; she's been given way too many chances already. Unless they pull something like claiming she's the corrupted Leader of the Flutterponies then...

Well, I really did like one take on it that I saw with some pony comic. Where somebeing, like Discord, turns her full pony for a while and she has to learn to not force her will on others because she no longer can and she has to learn her lesson before she starves to death without her usual biology. Or, perhaps just a general: "See? This is what you do to others; doesn't feel so good when your on the receiving end, huh?"

Tirek though I can see only going the Reformation Route. He was handily dealt with (I am quite, QUITE certain he was bloody well blown up into a fine, bloody mist.) so there's no way to dredge that up without the full intent of reforming him like Celestia wanted to do with Discord. And that, I get. I saw a lot of hatred in Tirek; more so than in the original Tirek from the older show. It was clear it was a deep-seated viewpoint with him. Only he could have power and the notion of any other being especially ponies having any sort of magic was a threat to every fiber of his being. Much like Chrysalis and Sombra, hating ponies is the crux of their character and lives. With Sombra, its being a dictator, With Chrysalis its a power play, but it somehow felt very personal to Tirek. Like, he didn't want power to rule the world or have his own kingdom... he just wanted power so nopony could use it againt him ever again.

I kind of see Tirek as the Malygos of Equestria. Malygos is a dragon leader from Warcraft. Yadda, yadda, wife got killed, went crazy, and now wants to keep all the magic away from all the foolish mortals. And to be fair, it being a RPG world.... yeah, all that magic doesn't seem to be healthy on very many occasions. To say the least. With Tirek, it's all to easy to give him a reason to hate magic and ponies in particular. Tirek I see as being symbolic of Greed, and Greed sprouts from Fear. (As do alot of things do when I start philosophizing.) We saw Tirek start out as old and decrepit, then seemingly regain his youth and stature as he forcibly took it from others. Gave the impression he hasn't led a very healthy lifestyle; that he's more then some big, threatening Magic Balloon.

Though he really shoulda just popped once he literally sucked up all the magic in the world. That can't be healthy for a body.

What even was his magic? Doesn't seem natural to centaurs and Cod help us all if anypony manages to duplicate that spell!

Beatings & Salivations Everybeing!   Creativity is something blatantly important to me as is no doubt evidenced by the 28 OCs I have posted here of the some forty plus I have, they're linked altogether at the bottom of my About Me page in my Profile & I would deeply cherish anything you wish to say about them! Among which of those I am proudest most of is my Draconequusona, His/My Ask Thread  and my Hydra, Gallimaufry or "Mauf" and their own Ask Thread!  Either way, sufficed to say, I am quite confident I have more OCs than you! Crazier to! Do You have a tatzelpony?! No, I rather think you don't! Hew-Hew-hew!

You know, that might be an interesting angle.

I might buy a Chrysalis who maintains her unhealthy relationship with love and control, but who arrives at an uneasy truce with her old people and ponykind. Basically, "I won't try and kill you, but stay out of my way." It's a middle ground I would be fine with. More interesting is if they find a way to further explore her worldview. Too many revenge plots will feel like, "I'll get you next time Gadget!"

The permanent wild card element would make her a more curious character.

Stepping away from T and C for a moment.

Does their world need creatures able to eat magic? Then case by case is it natural or artificial. The line of good and evil gets blurred if they are natural which would mean they serve some purpose to keep things in check like predators. Pony civilization is very dominate with magic since they can control the sun, moon, weather, etc.

An antithesis to the Elements of Harmony, The Rainbow of Darkness that was seen in Rescue at Midnight Castle should make an appearance in Season 8.

A power that can be designed to corrupt and transform anything into a monster.
