As for the quality of the leaks
I don't care. I won't care until we have official confirmation of what g5 will be. Getting worked up and dismissing g5 because of this is about as stupid as saying the next Star Wars movie will suck because you don't like the cast.

For real though, great start to 2018... I know Hasbro really only cares about dem toy sales... but this is really ridiculous at this point.

The episode leaks were different from the timeline/g5 leaks. The original g5 leaks contained information that let people log into the DHX servers and download unfinished episodes. I dont belive these leaks. Let me explain:

what is hasbro? A business. What do businesses need? Money. (Keep the lights on and all that fun stuff) what is hasbros source of income? My little pony. (Yes i know hasbro makes bored games, but the last time i checked the last time anyone asked for a bored game was 2011. Thanks, smartphone industry!) G4 makes hasbro the big bucks. The moonlah, the green cheddar. They also say you can find them on 4chan, and considering what 4chan is known for, i highly doubt that these leaks are legit.

i think in my opinion, Equestria Daily should stop chasing boogyman theories and focus on fixing their pathetic excuse of a moderation team. (FIGHT ME)

complaints with EQD staff aside, these leaks are not worth getting over, as i dont think they are legit.

They're not human making it harder to get people to relate, Equestrian Kingdom is a mainly female at the helm society with a monarchy government ran by princesses if they continue with that, and it goes against the message of friendship by being absolutely divisive.

Diversity as a goal, hmm.  Hopefully this means that next gen doesn't resort to obnoxious queerbaiting, I am looking at you Lyra and Bon Bon.  And instead we can get actual LGBT characters.

So Equestria Girls is continuing after G4.  I wonder if this means we are going to continue with the current series or if in G5 it is also going to get a reboot.

The new designs for the mane 6 are interesting to say the least.  I do like the idea of a Unicorn Fluttershy, and a Pegasus Pinkie, and I am pretty curious to see what an Earth Pony Twilight would be like.   The third and fourth concept designs for the group would have to my favorite.  But seeing how they are just concept art, the designs for the characters when G5 actually airs could be refined and different from what we are seeing now.

I am hoping that G5 is animated in ToonBoom like the 2017 movie was.

Given what we know about the next series so far, I am curious to see how it will play out, and I am going to give it a chance.

well to be fair equestria daily is a news of sorts, their going to chase ghosts every now and then to keep their content up, but they shouldent treat them as facts, i do hope these leaks are fake tho

Between the piles of concept art, the amount of emails leaked, the powerpoint slides, and the FULL FUCKING EPISODES AND MOVIE that have come with these leaks, if you still think these leaks are fake then you're simply in denial

Agreed. Conceptual discussion doesn't usually remain unchanged. Take a look at almost every major property and you will see huge changes from early concept to final product, with only some elements surviving to the end. 

Tempest Shadow was in a mech suit, Trixie was a stallion, Pinkie was a pegasus. 

The best examples are Star Wars and Pixar/ Disney though. While these are extreme examples and admittedly original designs with no prior characterization to draw from, they still showcase how concept can alter dramatically in the early phases of development.

ill admif while they do seem possibly, unless im seeing 100% confirmation that these are legit, im beliving these leaks are nothing more then red herrings.

While I haven't touched anything that gives away Season 8, I have looked into the emails. In my experience, the email discussions feel far too authentic to be faked. I've seen so many faked email leaks in the Star Wars fandom that they are coming out of my eye sockets. There are some telltale signs to indicate internal corporate communication. The Hasbro emails are one of the first that feel legit. Same with the Sony emails from several years back. 

I'm 99.9% certain these are not fraudulent.

Because maybe they've gone on for long enough? They always reboot Transformers every few years, even if the current toy-line is still successful, and they'll do the same for MLP

My main problem is that i dont know if these leaks are 100% verifable.

i mean, any one can post some links, but are they true? Does hasbro have any plans for these in the future? Can these be confirmed? 

as much as i want a g5 (which i see as a fandom reset button, imo) i dont wwnt to throw my chips into the basket and say "yeah, these are real" only for it to be red herrings.

Agreed, but the real question to ask isn’t so much “is it real,” but rather “is it all real?” It is still entirely possible that false info is included with the real stuff, or that extremely out of date information is included as well. I’m going to keep saying what I’ve been saying all along.

None of the g5 stuff is set in stone yet, it is still early in developement, so early I find the timelines that have been leaked a little hard to believe. Take all of it with a grain of salt and stop panicking.

Agreed. Diminishing returns usually force companies to revise their branded products to stabilize market share and boost investor confidence. Too many people are looking at this through fandom eyes and not factoring long held corporate production best practices.

Oh I'm not panicked ... at all. The woman heading up this IP is Nicole Dubuc. That's all I need to know to feel confident in any G5 production. As far as the timeline ... Nicole Dubuc's hiring adds more weight to the 2020 release. It was curious that they decided to bring and EP onboard when the show has been running more smoothly absent an EP. Now it makes total sense. Lauren was hired in 2008 for G4 and the show aired in late 2010.

To me, I'd rather not get concerned on what will happen in the future after what happened last month as they may lead to debunked information. That did happen in some cases before, don't forget. Remember the Millennium Bug? Remember 2012? There were a lot of rumors about them but they didn't happen AT ALL. Unless Hasbro confirms all the leaks are true, it is classified as 'unconfirmed'. Maybe there will be a G5. Maybe there'll be more seasons of Friendship is Magic but we won't know unless Hasbro states otherwise when the time comes. Heck, they didn't even announce what's coming up yet.

You spend too much time worrying about the bad things that might happen, you'll miss out on all the good things that are happening.". So it's best to just continue getting ready for season 8, not jump to conclusions and spread the magic of friendship in this world.
