So I have been wondering if fangirls like a female character, would they considered them their waifu. I was wondering because Wonder Woman is my wafiu. I really wasn't sure what it would be called if a fangirl likes a female character. SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

Well I'd say it depends on what you consider a waifu to be in combination with your sexual orientation.

To me a waifu is basically a character you have a crush on. Sometimes a very intense crush.

I'm a straight female, so for me, I crush on male characters. Therefore, I have gaifus/husbandos. XD

Yeah, the male version of a waifu is called a husbando.

The law states right here Article 12 - Subsection G: Girls are forbidden to have waifus.

Being serious, its probably still referred to as waifu, or really what ever you want to refer to it as. Everything doesn't need a specific label, and no one is telling you, you cannot.

If your gay, then sure. Totally! But if you're not, "waifu" is the Japanese-romaji spelling of the English word "wife" and is typically used to describe someone you have sexual feelings for. By all means, call them waifu if you wish, but just pointing it out :3

Waifu seems like a term reserved for characters you're deeply attracted to on a number of levels, but largely romanctic. So if you're simply a (straight) female fan without the romantic angle I'd probably use a different term.

I see absolutely no problem with it. My anime Waifu is Yomiko Readman. Just look at her house. Twilight would love it!

My god, Yomiko and Twilight.  That many books would collapse into a singularity.
