How would your world be if MLP never existed?

I would never have found my more touchy feely side and would still be taking part in the "Manly Man of the He-Man club". So yeah, not the best.

Oh gosh...FiM has basically taken over a half to two-thirds my life; I know for a fact so much would be different.  I'm not sure where exactly I'd be without it, seeing as most of my IRL activities are not affected that much by it, but I would be a much different person online, I can tell you that.  I'd probably still be stuck in the background on the internet, I probably would've kept interest in some things that would've led to some poor decisions with my YouTube channel (I would've likely never gotten over 50 subs, and I likely would've ended the channel by now).  Heck, I might not even be active on computers much anymore.

I think the most dramatic thing that would be different though, would be that without FiM, I would have never developed episode ideas that I was so passionate about, that I'm trying to turn them into a full-blown fan-animated series, which without that, would in turn never cause me to figure out that screenwriting has really been what I've been interested in all my life.

And of course, I'd never notice how intricately similar I am to Twilight, because she wouldn't be around to compare myself to.

 

So without FiM, I'd most likely be a very different person.

Probably would not have found my best friend and my wife. MLP and the people I've interacted with made me want to be a better person than I once was, and I firmly believe those changes are what made me into someone with whom an attractive librarian decided was worth spending her life.

In the few months before I became a brony, I was feeling kind of stressed and beat-up. So if MLP never existed, I probably wouldn't be doing so good right now.

I'd like to say I'd actually be normal, but I'm pretty sure that ship sailed waaaaay before I found out about FiM. I also wouldn't have met most of the friends I have. Or started drinking, funnily enough.

That's something I'd rather not think about. The thing that got me to watch MLP in the first place was extreme boredom... Maybe I'd have found something else to fill the void at some point, but I wouldn't be sure about it – it's really rare for me these days to get interested in new things like I did earlier in my life. But even worse would be that I wouldn't have found these forums – I imagine I'd still feel as lonely as I did before coming here. I can't thank all the amazing people I've met here enough for everything!

And I most likely would still be very antisocial, and I would still have a negative opinion on life.

I'm not sure if I can either say that the show has or hasn't had much of an impact on me.  There's been something charming about the show, something which has impacted me in a more general sense, but I'm not sure how impactful.

But if the show was never around, I can only say I doubt much would change for me.

Please remember that MLP is so much more than Friendship is Magic. My life might not be that different because of FIM, but the earlier MLP made my life. It's odd to share that info. It makes me feel like a weirdo because I liked MLP when no one else did!
