Rarity... Misunderstood fashion designer. Antisocial because of bad experiences with friends who only want to take advantage of her talent. Eventually ends up homeless on the streets.

Pinkie Pie... Diagnosed with severe case of ADD. Becomes boring and has no friends.

Rainbow Dash... Extremely talented track star but no one cares because she's female.

Fluttershy... Spends rest of life paying off student loans from going to school to become a veterinarian.

 

Spike becomes a victim of the American Adoption Agency. Currently residing in poorly funded orphanage where meals are few and far in between. Occasionally gets to use Windows 98 computer to go online and be a part of the mlpforums community

Twilight- Teaches Metaphysics and Business managment at the school. Lives and sleeps in her office.

Setting: Equestria is the US and Ponyville is Georgetown University. It's close to Washington D.C. (Canterlot) with the president being a woman (Princess Celestia). Celestia used to be a sociology professor in Georgetown U that eventually became president.

 

Twilight Sparkle goes to college and majors in engineering (magic) and minors in sociology (magic of friendship). To pay the bills while she goes to college she is a librarian at the college. Twi was a protege to Celestia in sociology and she continues to write her reports on her findings in the study (friends) even after Celestia becomes president.

 

Applejack lives in the outskirts of D.C. and runs an apple orchard out in the country. She comes to Georgetown U to take business classes and gain her MBA. She supplies apples to the University as one of her clients.

I actually doubt Rainbow Dash would be a pilot. It requires a lot more adherence to rules and systems than she'd probably like. Maybe a pro skateboarder or mountain biker- some varitie(s) of extreme sports.
