I must confess that I feel too pressured to make a new for my OC in this game since I barely can come up with a logical next move. And honestly it's been a long time since I fully watched episodes focused on places in Canterlot, like the Tasty Treat. I wouldn't know how to properly act like the characters that would appear there.

That and real life matters like school, weekend job, and house cleaning keeps me from making moves as often as you guys do.

@Lucid_Nightlight can correct me if I'm wrong but to my understanding it doesn't matter, I have no idea about Canterlot either other than it's rich-pony area, and my character certainly doesn't act like one would properly act there.

And otherwise, in my opinion it's no problem that you play slower because your character only interacts with Emperor Blu, it literally doesn't affect the other character pairs.

3rd...we need to plan on what it eventually will be that will change her, because she can't just start to like him because he's nice, because that goes against everything she has been shown to be.

One thing would be that something out of their control would happen where where Somnus would end up actually saving Ruby somehow,(that would also bring up what Ruby felt ashamed of)but it needs to be something severe enough that Ruby would have to admit that she needed help  that of course would make her instantly fall in love with him (otherwise she would be in love with cats atm) but it could soften her up a bit.

Other thing would be if he would manage to get Ruby to enjoy herself, something only flying and hunting have managed to do until this point, and even them only when she was younger (and obviously she can't fly atm, and hunting is one-creature job, so he needs to find replacement for those), that again managing to soften her up a bit.

Or, if Somnus manages to say guess the one thing Ruby feels ashamed/bad for, it would piss her off for a moment, but after bit of cooling down he could get to something  

But there's high change that Somnus's mission needs more than one date regardless

With Somnus having none of his equipment, he wouldn't be able to save her.

Perhaps he could find something that Ruby would enjoy. Maybe something that involves some sort of violence. Perhaps she'd enjoy a training center with an area for sparring since that has some degree of violence?

Well, it depend's really on the situation, it doesn't always need to include fighting, and Ruby is just as fragile as any pony in pony form, if that means anything.

It doesn't need to be violence (and if there is, she only really enjoys it if she does it herself, in dragon form, otherwise it's just amusing.), just something that causes adrenaline to happen

We could have Somnus take Ruby to some sort of river. Somnus could originally plan to see if fishing would work, but Ruby convinces him to go into the water and try catching fish with his hooves.

Or if you have an idea, feel free to make a suggestion.

Would that really count towards anything though? Ruby doesn't really fish, since like she said, fish and mice are quite hard to catch (mostly because they're so small), and only reason for Ruby to convince Somnus to go fish with his hooves would be to get him to make fool out of himself, but that would again just be amusing, and what Somnus would feel like about Ruby purposely making him into a fool, isn't that a bad sign if you're trying to hit on a mare...or well, dragon

I don't have any specific idea, but there's two situations.

First playing in the Somnus saving Ruby part, she getting stuck somewhere, as a pony....because there's two things that would stop her from transforming to a dragon, something inside her (for example, though not possible in Equestria, a bullet stuck inside would prevent that because it would do damage during the transformation) and a space too small made from material that doesn't break easily. How about doing the fishing thing, but Ruby somehow falls into a nearby hole that starts to flood with water?

There isn't necessary a reason for the trap, it could be just that, a trap, a hole in the ground. whatever or whoever it was meant to doesn't really matter

The part about the shame doesn't necessary come up naturally, but otherwise if brohoof didn't tell enough, I'm aright with the plan

Well, she can't really do anything about it, she would need to go against direct order from Celestia if she got too controlling of Ruby, only thing she can really do about is complain and do some odd punishments, but how they will work is different story, since it is against her nature quite literally. 

But she won't even try to convince Rose otherwise, she doesn't care

Okay, maybe Rose can't really do anything, but if she doesn't respect Blu, things could end up really bad. Like Rose, Emperor Blu doesn't joke with manners and respect.

Sure he isn't under Celestia's order, but he is in her kingdom, talking to her staff. And technically Ruby isn't under his order either.  But it could get interesting if Blu got too annoying for Ruby, because she would get angry, and nobody wants an angry dragon, even the dragon itself  Better just hope that Somnus is in good enough relations in that point to stop her from doing something she may regret if that happens.

Well I'm afraid that in case of a fight, Blu would be able to fight back really easily. Unlike Somnus or Rose, he's an Alicorn stallion, meaning he has magic as defensive and offensive weapon.  So I'm afraid Ruby would need to control her temper  Plus if Ruby is injured, he easily could get out of eventual trouble because of legitimate defense. Ruby would've been the first to attack after all

It really depends on when it happens, she heals lot quicker than ponies, really the only place that will take longer than a day to heal is the wing, and only thing that stops is flying, which would be pretty hard anyways assuming it would happen in the castle.
