Huh, the topic says characters but this is mostly about Starlight...

Well to throw in my thoughts, having her be with Trixie in the cameo was perfectly fine, although, I would've liked to see maybe another background cameo with her and Firelight around town, kind of tie into the closeness of others around the holiday....then again it would have turned into a bobthedalek comic :

As for other characters I was quite amused at the Student 6 literally shoved onto the train out of the picture. I wonder if Gallus is celebrating the holiday with one of them? Nice to see Yona celebrating snilldarfest and Ocellus still celebrating the "changeling" hearths warming at the end.

Starlight didn't need to be this special, it worked perfectly fine with her just as cameo appearance just like the movie.

She isnt a mane character... The whole mane 7/8 is just myth... And I believe that crap for years...

The whole season 5 finale song is just a misdirection.

I like Starlight, but I’m glad they excluded her in this episode. I mean, what could she take part in this? Blast a lazer on a pudding? Freak out because of the holiday is coming? Twilight already did it.

It's cool! She had her own Hearth's Warming episode and so did the Student 6! By the looks of things though, it would seem the Starlight era has ended, she had her many shining moments and might still will next season!
