Are you happy that season 9 is the final season?

I'm content with it, knowing that it has a pretty good run and has remained enjoyable to watch on a rather consistent basis. It's bittersweet in some ways, but I feel like it's the right thing to do.

Although I wouldn't say I was happy, a was kinda glad they did wrap it up. Season 8 kinda ruined the quality of the show, and although it was better, I still wasn't the biggest fan of season 9. I'm glad they ended off the show before it really started to go down a bad route (like it did for s8). Plus, nine seasons is quite the accomplishment. Sadly, I think it was just the show's time to go.

I hated S9 enough for me to drop it completely and never even bothered finishing the rest of it. My answer would be a big fat “Hell No”. IMO S9 wasted so much time with its thumbs up it’s own ass, it had absolutely no business being the show’s final season

Yeah, I just wasn't really into it by the end. In my opinion it peaked early and then mostly went downhill, with the occasional spike in quality. Honestly kinda felt like it went on too long; would have been just fine with it ending sooner.

While I'm glad Season 9 was able wrap up when it could, but I'm not the biggest fan of it either. There's something about that season felt like a massive beatdown with it's bitter and cynical tone that just really turns me off when watching it.

Season 9 was not the strongest season in my opinion but also not the weakest one. There are some really great moments in this season for me for example I really loved the villain song, or how the mane six broke in the castle to get the crown etc. But i contain also the worst moment of MLP for me which would be RD behavior in the episode 2,4,6 Great.

I'm one of those guys who I like things to end at some point. If something would go forever and ever it will get worse and worse. I know some people already feel that way and I'm sure even more people would feel this way when there would haven been more than 9 season. Everything ends sooner or later and in my opinion it's better to end if something is really great as when it's got so bad that no one wants to watch it any longer.

So I'm happy for season 9 being the last and final one. It's still good (in my opinion) but it was also evident that creators were running out of great ideas. So there was already some fatigue here. But I also think this was more apparent in season eight than nine.

And I'm telling ya it is awesome! The mane six left the school and left it to starlight. The mane six went on adventures and now exploring the whole continent!. They also showed pinkie and cheese sandwich flirting with each other!.... They're so CUTE!

You know... it would've been awesome if hasbro continued it on the television.... But the fandom became toxic and needed to make gen 5 to kill off some of the fans...

I was confused for a moment there. But then I remember I think I  heard somewhere they made a tenth season in the comics? I don't know anything about it and I was speaking about the cartoon show only. I think I'll need to check this out too like the manga too. Thanks for the reminder

Thus far, it's been more interesting than what we could reasonably have expected from an actual season 10.

Yes and no. No, cause there were alota unanswered questions and unfinished story arcs - but yes, cause these writers probably forgotten about most of those arcs anyway and would just make more filter episodes the characters don't need.

Yes with an asterisk. I'm happy season 9 ended as it did. Which is to say, it felt like an actual ending. If the show had gone on to like season 12 or something, I would have been happy with that. Compare it to Ducktales now, which is ending after it's third season when that show clearly had enough juice to keep going beyond that. Whether the ending is good or not (haven't seen it yet) it still feels premature when you can tell the passion for it from both creators and fans was still raging.

Season 9 came at a good ending point for FiM. People keep saying that they didn't want it to run into the Spongebob hole and there's merit to that, but they don't mention enough of the other side of that. If it ended before it really got the space and time to push itself beyond what it started as. I'm glad season 9 was the final season because it wasn't season 2 or 3.

Yes. The show had been really good for a long time with no true period of seasonal rot. But it would’ve only been a matter of time before they truly ran out of ideas. Season 9 was the right time for FIM to gallop into the sunset.
