Is it ok for males to shave their WHOLE body?

I really don't know the answer to this. I actually do this but i'm too afraid to ask anyone in person if its ok, I was raised dominantly by females so idk who to ask. Is the legs ok? I see some guys at school with more hair on their legs then some people have on their head (you can't even see the skin) and others don't have any at but i don't if that part is just genetic. I'v heard its ok for swimmers to do, which is what I am. I like to keep my whole body shaven. (I had teach myself how to even get started a few years ago). i don't even know anything about the arms

  • The title was changed to Is it ok for males to shave their WHOLE body?

Is it okay to dress up differently, or shave your entire body? I don't see a reason why it would not be ok.

I think it is rather painful to shave, especially certain parts of your body, and when the hair starts growing back (which is does within hours), it can get seriously ouchie! So that can be a negative part of shaving your entire body.

The other thing is of course, your surrounding environment and people. Will they notice something is different with you by doing this? Shaving isn't really noticeable, compared to dressing up inappropriately (now, that is slightly different topic). Again, it is your choice, but sometimes it is easier to go with popular options. Shaving your entire body is probably not a very common thing people do, but I don't know for sure!

First and foremost, what do you want? Not what others (family included) tell you to do. If you want to shave, then shave. If others say you must shave, and you don't want to, then don't! Priority over your body, goes to you!

Some people like hairy things, others don't. My opinion is to let nature be nature, because it is interesting to see the results. That's my opinion.

I don't think there's a problem with that. As for how people in public see it, they're gonna judge others no matter what. Society is crap.

I've tried shaving my legs once (I always wear jeans in public, so I don't have to worry about being judged), but ingrown hairs are awful :unamused: I think shaving is good for comfort and hygiene, but it's not worth that pain. Trimming is good enough for me.

You do you. I've shaven my legs multiple times because I was bored. I got lucky and am pretty hairless, minus legs, which is why I have grown to not like body hair. If you shave properly, you should not have much irritation. Warm water, shave cream, and not adding any unnecessary force to the razor should be fine. If I'm doing anything wrong then I must have been blessed by the shave gods because I've never had any irritation and/or ingrown hairs.

Absolutely it is, shouldn't ever matter. Frankly, I actually used to shave most of my body (well aside from the hair on my head, and my eyebrows) until I got in dire straits financially. I really did look better that way. :pout:

If you want to do it, it's perfectly fine. There is nothing wrong with deciding to do so and don't let others tell you otherwise.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Why wouldn't it be ok? It really only depends on what you feel comfortable with. If you prefer not to shave, then don't. If you do, feel free to. Specially nowadays when just about everyone is ok with grooming and taking care of themselves, no matter if you're a man or a woman. Do what you want, no shame in it~

Many male athletes do, for reasons ranging from aesthetics to physics, and I have yet to hear of any harms coming from it.

Thats one thing i'm not looking forward to with transitioning: having to shave all the time.

I'd much prefer some kind of hair removal cream or what not

Or maybe, don't shave? (like my opinion of girls matter)

You should do whatever you feel best with.
I prefer it though when a male  is shaved.
I am not even a big fan of seeing a male with a beard, in rare occasions though I do think they fit.
