Ever wish you were mute so you dont have to talk to anyone?

I'd never choose to have any basic ability taken away. If I don't want to speak I just don't. I can always pretend to be mute if it came right down to it; I don't need to be restricted in order to decide my own actions.

Depends on who I’m talking to or what I have to talk about. In most public situations, I would be okay with being mute. I would go a little crazy though if I couldn’t communicate with family.

No I wouldn’t want to completely lose my ability to speak

If I don’t want to talk to people I just won’t. I wouldn’t want to completely lose being able to do that.

I wouldn't want to be mute, I want at least the option to talk whenever I want.

But people are always busy with themselves, so no one would care about it anway, if I talk or not. Never did. It's only needed in a very few situations, to explain things, it makes it easier and quicker, but it's not mandatory most of the time. Though, some jobs would be impossible to do as a mute.

I had selective mutism and trust me you do NOT want to be mute. Going out in public ends up a constant exercise in total humiliation. You might even want to stop wanting to be seen in public altogether.

No I don't, I know mutism can stem from disorders and I know it would be hard to live with. That aside, it would be nice for the people around me to just let me have periods of time that I don't speak verbally to them. That way I'm less likely to experience burnout
