general What’s the prettiest vegetable or fruit?

Considering the vast varieties of fruits and veggies out there, and all the different shapes, colors and textures, which do you think is the prettiest? It doesn’t have to be about flavor, just appearance (yup, we’re goin’ for shallow ol’ looks!) What has the most visual appeal for you, and why?

Strawberries, watermelon, kiwi, pomegranate, dragon fruit, pineapple... rainbow carrots, red lettuce, peppers, and corn (if that counts). Maybe they’re more cool then pretty, I don’t know.

I would name pineapple here. The most visual appeal for me is the form of the fruit because the surface has this typical structure.

I always thought strawberries were pretty. As for vegetables. I’d have to go with carrots

I’ve had dragon fruit... it’s actually very mild tasting and doesn’t taste as flavorful as it looks (to me anyway)  

I think starfruits look the best since they are shaped like stars!

Now how about the ugliest-looking fruit, I’ll say rambutans for that one, they taste good but they look so spiky. At least your roommates/family won’t eat yours  (And yes I know there is a fruit called ugli fruit but it’s not that bad imo)

I have to agree with those who said dragon fruit, they are so pretty! Especially the ones with the white insides, it has such a sharp contrast with the magenta

Star fruit, passion fruit, and bell peppers in yellow, orange and red. When I see them at the store I always try to think up some recipe to justify buying them, just because they’re so danged pretty!
