As we enter a new generation of ponies…I look back

Today, I found myself contemplating the impact that this My Little Pony franchise (but specifically that of gen 4) has had in my life. This comes at a time when I had just received my My Little Pony: The Manga Omnibus book (and inwardly despairing that it wasn't bound and able to read in right to left, as a proper manga should) and was idly browsing through customer reviews of this product. I came across many that seemed to pull at my nostalgia and trigger fond memories of the series of FiM, and all the good and fun things that it's passionate fan base had brought into existence. The gifs and memes, the music (both show remixes and completely original), art, video and PC games, all the YouTube vudeos, the meets, theories, analysis, the charities, the fan oc's, the fanfictions, the merchandise - all of it! So many people- from the creators and staff, to the fans this show has moved in some ways- so many have put to much heart and love into this generation...This chapter of a decades long franchise, and it just moved me.

It moved me to know that looking back, I wouldn't have gotten into MLP's previous gens, had it not been for g4. And as I contemplate the impact this cute cartoon has had and still has on me- as I hold the MLP MANGA omnibus in my hands, knowing that this is just one of the last pieces of g4 that I will collect as g5's generation has already dawned...I realize that being a part of this fandom- this franchise- becoming and being a collector, a reviewer, an unboxer, a theorist and analyst, an artist, musician and fanfic creator all thanks to this one franchise about silly pastel ponies- has made me so happy. 

I look forward to what g5 will bring and hope that it will only continue to bring people and passions and talents together and to the forefront, and that ultimately it can bring the various generations of MLP canvases just a little bit closer together. I

I’m feeling hopeful about G5 as well, I hope it’s able to bring out lots of good stuff! Some of the characters are promising, so that is a start.

You love the MLP manga too? I love you.  Definitely one of the most fun things we've gotten from the franchise, I hope that even if G5 isn't good, it can at least give us one thing that's just as fun.

That's the one I've read in three volumes. So it reads right to left? Mine are all left to right. I thought despite being called manga it was an American thing.

I meant right to left is how I wish it had been. You are correct- mine and all of them are left to right, however. Americanized.
