I picked My Little Pony: The Movie. Not really a fair contest, since there's really only one MLP G4 movie, My Little Pony: The Movie. Equestria Girls is kind of its own spin-off subseries that has never been seen as being as good as Friendship is Magic.

You know you're also forgetting EQG: Sunset's  Backstage Pass, EQG: Forgotten Friendship, and MLP: Rainbow Roadtrip since those specials are long enough to be considered full length films

if I’m being honest i prefer Rainbow Roadtrip over all of these. At the time it came out and the time I watched it, it was something I desperately needed. It’s safe as fuck(which is kinda hypocritical of me to praise RR while criticizing the Movie for the same reason, by I’ll explain this in a bit), but it helped wash the bad taste of S9 out of my mouth

Of the ones listed though, it’s Rainbow Rocks, and it’s not even close. Hot take time: The MLP Movie was an incredibly safe and unremarkable movie for how hyped it was, only for it to amount to a glorified premiere/season finale. In comparison Rainbow Rocks took what was a dumb spin-off and turned into a franchise that could stand out on its own while making fan-favorites out of Sunset Shimmer and the Dazzlings

Considering that I really don't like the Equestria Girls franchise, "My Little Pony: The Movie" is definitely my favorite G4 movie. The movie definitely has some flaws, but it sure is better than the EQG movies in my opinion.

I don't hate EqG actually I'm currently rewatching them. Nevertheless I like FiM far more then EqG so this actually not a big choice for me here especially because I like the art style of 2017 Movie so much . Even if the Storm King villain is kinda weak in my opinion, well we had :Tempest: Also I think Rainbow Roadtrip is missing in the poll and this was also a really great movie too :>

I definitely go with MLP FiM 2017 Movie

I'd probably go with Rainbow Rocks, since that actually made me like Equestria Girls. The first movie was fine, but it didn't do much for me other than a few decent songs.

I do have a soft spot for MLP: The Movie since I saw that in cinemas.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

MLP: The Movie, and it isn't even that close. None of the them are good, but MLP:TM has the most polish and heart.

I'm not going milk the metaphorical cash cow on this, but Rainbow Rocks is more than just a silly girly highschool movie. Since the theme of music is so prominent in MLP, and it was literally the ONLY saving grace of the original Equestria Girls, "Helping Twilight Win the Crown" was all it had going for it. Now, the Sirens are THE MOST iconic villains of the EG universe and became very prominent in cosplay, fan art and remixes... The MLP "community/fandom" as a whole has a strong affinity to music, so having a villain be a literal musical villain that's mythological lore is based on being so .. honestly the Sirens would have worked in Equestria or the human world, "in plot". They created a trend with the Sirens online and Rainbow Rocks was a hopping movie, talking back between s4 and 5... I remember all the Siren cosplays at Bronycon 2016, and some of the cosplayers who really pulled them off kept the outfits in their rotation, but more importantly, I'm not going to go into a giant constructive review making excuses for my confirmation bias when referring to an INSANELY FLAWED movie, however, if you would like this, I can do this lol, I will say that Rainbow Rocks was a very special movie to me, Sunset was the first relatable reform character in actuality, bc she bared the realistic affliction of her convictions, she dealt with the alienation, the exclusion, the judgment and it matters bc Sunset is a pony to, one that feels remorse, and idgaf what you say Luna isn't "relatable" unless you relate to her by being useless and overrated... But Sunset evolves, I love that her flaws make her stronger, her cynicism, her paranoia, her emotional tendencies(greater explored throughout the EG series ). All in all, when I saw Sunset Shimmers inclusion, their acceptance of her, when we watch her make a decision in confidence to perfectly synchronize in an unrehearsed masterpiece, my world lit up, it made me so happy. It makes me have hope when I see the real friendships Sunset has made, I love her, and I love everything about her, but her place is definitely in the EG universe, she was what made EG what it was, and her reformation gave me genuine inspiration and saved certain aspects of my life arguably

"Rainbow Rocks" has always been my favorite. I loved the symbolism in it. When Sunset Shimmer threw off her jacket, she was casting off the last of her self doubts. Then when she 'Ponified" and rose up, it showed that she had forgiven herself for her past, and finally found herself worthy of having such good friends.
