I was just wondering when we were going to get a trailer for it.  So it's nice to finally get to see how it looks in action rather than judging it based solely on screenshots and like 5 second clips.

Some details I liked about the trailer:

-It seems to be a continuation of the movie, which makes sense.
-I really like the idea that the unicorns are still learning how to do magic. It makes sense because they have been living without it for many many many moons. It’s not like a unicorn being a master with magic and then being clunky in the next episode.
-I also love that not everyone is gonna be on board with the use of magic. If I’ve learned something about the pandemic among other things, is that not everyone is gonna be on board with a logical solution.
-It’s gonna be really interesting who or what used that dark magic that made the ponies be stick to the ground.

That said, I only disliked two things and I hope it’s not prominent: Sunny being an alicorn and the pop songs. Funnily enough, these were my only two complaints I had with A new generation, so hopefully it’s not gonna be a big deal.

But yeah, the trailer was good.

Okay; this pretty much confirms that while the animation will not be on par with the movie, it will still be good at least.

We have a new Fluttershy. What else? Magic is disappearing again? The colors look a little flat compared to the movie. Some animation look cheap, like eye tracking stuff. I'm going to watch the first episode with hope it will be as good as FIM! Don't disappoint me Netflix!

Oh my gosh I'm so excited I cannot wait!!! Two weeks remaining yayayayyayay 

Now my objective opinion:

1. I didn't like some animations details (i.e. the landscape color palette is really palid sometimes, and other times the ponies tone look very saturated).

2. Not a big fan of the special taken as a sequel of the movie, because I wanted to see a new problem for the Mane 5, not almost the same. In addition I'd like to say that they could have put a sequence with ponys adapting to their new powers.

3. They spoiled us the dragon hatching  wasn't it enough showing us the egg?

4. I hope the dialogs don't be too childish, AND that Pipp doesn't sing every 5 seconds.

Looks about as good as I expected. The visuals are quiet nice, but I noticed a lot less motion in the actual shots; characters seem to stand around a lot here, with not much going on in the background. Still though, it looks good overall, even if not movie quality. I do think anti-magic sentiments are a good way to get things started with this series as well; it's something unique for this generation, if nothing else. I do look forward to seeing how it is all handled.

And my goodness, how far in the future is this? "Dragons haven't been seen in Generations!" So we know Spike is gone, or at least in hiding. I would adore if he made an appearance late into the series, though. Fingers crossed!

I didn't like the color green for the dragon which, is a weird thing to nitpick about but it's all I have as far as things I didn't like.

I thought Posey was acting a bit like pre-reformation Starlight Glimmer with her glare and comment.

IM SUPER EXCITED!!! it looks like it’ll be pretty good!!! maybe the visuals aren’t absolutely positively perfect but i still think they look cute and colorful  i love one of the songs that played in the background, it reminded me of the music of g4 a bit :0

I think we all knew that the animation quality would be worse than what was seen in the G5 movie, but we have to accept this as fact and just roll with it. In terms of what this trailer shows, it's a clear sign that this series is still maintaining its potential. If there was one problem, it would be that this trailer may have spoiled too much though I don't think that was intentional.

Yes, I agree. Do you know why do they have that color? Because is EXACTLY THE SAME as Spike but inverted! Think about it: Spike has green eyes and purple skin, the new dragon has PURPLE eyes and GREEN skin.  Lack of originality!

The animation looks great, except for some poorly-planned color choices, but fortunately, they are (only?) on minor characters.

Hopefully, we can understand the plot without looking at those characters for too long and see some really nice fanart.

Given that "Grumpy Lady" has shown up in both the TYT for today and the trailer, (She actually seems like an important character in the MYM episode,) I wonder when we are going to find out her name and such. The quality is a bit worse than the movie, but the most noticeable part is the backgrounds. I guess they were able to reuse a lot of parts from the movie. The dragon definitely is an interesting plot twist. Hitch is going to name him Spike, I'm calling it.

So glad we finally have an actual trailer now. So the whole storm thing isn't meant to foreshadow a plot that's too epic, oh well. That was still pretty good even as the baby dragon twist didn't shock me because I already knew from the toy reveal that came before. The fact that they're truly going all in with making Hitch the new Fluttershy now though definitely caught my attention.

And what the heck happened to the Earth ponies? O_O
Something could really be brewing.
I'm wondering if they're repurposing elements from the original movie, magic calamities were going on there too.

For me, it definitely seems to be going through the motions, but it's still missing a spark.  I don't know if I can expect that spark to show up in this second attempt at a pilot, but at least the story this time seems to have actual stakes, I think, so there's that.

Yeah I wish they hadn't spoiled the dragon but come on, we would have guessed it from the egg.  It'll be cool but it will probably bring up a million more unanswered questions about the connection to FIM.
