One of the changelings at the door let out a screech as an orange blur came careening into its side, sending it flying. Gust skidded to a halt and turned to the other changelings, getting in position to lunge again at whichever one made the first aggressive move.

The Changling would growl as the bomb thrown earlier had caught him off guard in a paranoid twitch but made to block the door again -- when suddenly the orange blur would arrive and "ACCCK!!!!!"

It had no idea what was going on -- was that the potion with a delayed effect?! It never knew what hit it. It would POOF out of existence with his victory. But like a hydra, many more would flock.

Until suddenly.. "Thundy!!!! THUNDY HELP!!!" It was a familiar, feminine voice quivering. His dear Ana was being taken away by a cloud of dark changlings. "HELP ME, DEAR BEST FRIEND, PLEASE!!!!" She was almost on the verge of tears as she pleaded.

“Yes, it will be a good friendship-building opportunity for us all, I suppose.” Nebel nodded his head in reply to Skylight’s comment.

“Nice to meet you, Dynamo.” He replies as he returns the hoofshake. “You are correct, my name is Nebel. It’s a shame we couldn’t all meet on better terms.”

Nebel also notices Caramel’s adverse reaction to the recent events. “I uh, well honestly, I have no idea how Chrysalis is back again nor how we all ended up in this mess.” Nebel sighs.

As he got acclimated to his new environment, he couldn’t shake this nagging feeling in the back of his mind that some creature here needed help in some way. This feeling would shortly become confirmed when a lone, injured parasprite emerged from the maze. It seemed to be attempting to search each of them for… something. It stopped in front of Dynamo and Caramel, and to everypony’s surprise, weakly asked for help. Nebel watched silently to see what their reaction might be, meanwhile considering if there was anything he could possibly do to help. Currently, nothing was coming to mind.

Gust spun on his hooves, facing the direction he heard Ana's voice coming from. Something was off, there was no way they'd catch her off guard and defeat her so easily, not simple changelings. But before he was halfway through that thought, his legs were already sprinting at full speed. He'd misjudged the scene around him and looked away for a few seconds, and now his friend was calling for his help. He ran full speed toward where the changelings had her, toward her voice in the darkness.

Through one of paths flew the most unexpected creature. It was a parasprite! It's flight looked unstable and as it approached closer the reason behind that became clear - one of its wings appeared to be damaged. It seemed to have analyzed each and every pony, inspecting them... as if it's looking for something... or someone. It seemed to take no interest in most of ponies, sparing them a glance at best. It changed, when it approached Dynamo @Dynamo Pad and Caramel @Aurora Glimmer. Suddenly the parasprite stopped and, much to everypony's surprised... it spoke.

"Help me..." it whispered weakly...

As the group still stood at the beginning of their maze, a certain figure's shadow was visible for Dynamo and the others to see. With the flutter of wings, Dynamo had moved his head to get a better view and light. As he gained a better look, he was surprised by the identity of the creature. "A parasprite?" He would ask, blinking as if he didn't believe it, but it was true. "I've heard of this creature. @Skylight Scintillate and I learned about magical creatures when we were in Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns. I moved to Ponyville recently, but I didn't think I'd see one in person." Taking a look at the creature, it looked as if the pink ball was struggling to stay afloat. Taking notice of the four wings, it looked like one of said wings was injured. "Are you okay, little one? What happened to your wing?" He held out a front hoof for the parasprite to land and rest its wings, before his eyes suddenly widened in shock. Hearing the parasprite talk had caused the gaming unicorn's jaw to drop to the ground. He had heard some things about the creature, but talking wasn't one of them.

"Uh...oooooookay? I'm not the only one that heard that, right?" He asks, craning his neck to look towards the others to see if he was going crazy or not. Looking back towards the creature, the unicorn picked up his jaw, while the look of concern was still present. "What's wrong? What do you need help with. We'll make sure to help in any way we can."

As Gust would part ways from the safety of his companions, further and further, Ana's wails for help would continue, enticing him to follow further. "THUNDY! PLEASE HELP!" Her hoof would extend as her eyes would plead for him to finally reach her. Upon their hoofs touching, however, her eyes would turn green and she'd suddenly grin and pull him into the black cloud with her. Any adorable color that belonged to Ana was now as bleak and dark as the situation he had pulled himself into. The dark cloud swallowing him whole, and the party clearly confused or unaware, there was one less fighter in the team with many pacifists in the cottage. The changlings would now chuckle as they'd swarm.

Initially Vibrant was caught off guard by the sight of the lone parasprite in this, otherwise gloomy area. What was it doing here? He couldn't tell, but it certainly was fixated on 2 specific ponies @Dynamo Pad @Aurora Glimmer and seemed to barely aknowledge anypony else.

Unsure, where to guide his team yet, Vibrant, having never met Nebel @GeneralDirection before decided to introduce himself to yet another pony, wishing to know who is he with. He would extend his hoof to greet Nebel 

"Hello, Nebel, I don't believe we had a chance to introduce ourselves to each other yet. My name is Vibrant Grove and we seem to be put in this "jolly" situation together" he smiled, masking his nervousness behind well practiced mannerism.

Ana, seeing Gust @Totally Lyra running off after someone, listens intently and hears... herself? She leaps aside to avoid one Angry Changeling @Princess Silky and starts firing off frost spells. For each Changeling hit, more seem to take their place. She begins running to try and catch up with Gust. She grits her teeth as she hears someone doing a surprisingly good impression of her voice. "Oh, it is on."

The parasprite would continously hover in the air, despite how difficult it appeared for it to keep floating. It appeared like it understood the question, but wasn't answering it, repeating "help me" instead. Except for the wing it appeared to be in a perfect shape. It's gaze kept switching from Caramel to Dynamo, but that's about the only thing it was doing.

Surprisingly, Ana's frost spells would stick to the surface of where ever they fell. Causing a thin layer or snow around the ponies near her. She was closer to the companions than @Totally Lyra.  before taking off to challenge her impostor. The other changelings were confused but quietly watched as she took off. Maybe they could kidnap her too? They'd suddenly grin, taking interest more in Ana and Gust over Magloria @Props ValRoaand Frostbite @Cagey they'd turn their backs to perform their attack.

Magloria looks to the changelings and watches her ice chains break. She looks to the others. "Fight them. Now." she commands to the others, as a blue flash occurs next to her as she summons a large iceball. It was a lot larger than the chains she had used before, and she spins it around in her magic and it flattens out - before breaking into pieces and it explodes, sending a vast array of ice crystals towards the changelings.

Magloria smirks cruely - as she pulls out a large weapon from...somewhere. It was a silver rapier. 

Empowered by the snow left behind by Ana's @Stone Cold Steve Jobs's frost spells, Magloria would command the others to fight along side her with her regal voice while slaying a changling here with her spells and slaying another massive group there -- from the ice crystals shattered alone! 

It appears that Frostbite was still struggling with himself and that old memory the Changling would deliver. But as Magloria was building up in her own frost spells and then her rapier -- which no changling would be able to handle -- suddenly -- A unicorn would appear to stand off to Magloria @Props ValRoa-- it looked... oddly familiar. Wasn't it that mare from earlier who yelled and chased the cloud of changlings? ... What was her name? Ana? 

"So!" She'd speak through clenched teeth with rage and malice in her eyes, her horn now glowing with threat, "I hear you love FROST, huh?! Well, let's see what happens when you're hit with this!" A large blue spell would emit from the unicorn's cranium as it would shoot forth to strike Magloria -- a direct hit before she could use her melee weapon against this particular foe.

No time. A unicorn (changeling?) leapt out of the scuffle, straight for Magloria, shouting something, and -- there was a spell -- 

Frostbite jolted to action, but he was too late. Magloria took the hit, falling back with a flash of light, dropping her sword.

Frostbite couldn't think. All he knew was that he had an axe.

So, with a sudden, wild look in his eyes, he tumbled forward, tackling the unicorn-changeling, and brought the axe down hard.

The Changling couldn't help but notice Frostbite's internal weakness, her smile was so complacent as she dodged each and every swipe of his axe. "Poor little weakling," she'd utter. "It's like a little dance, isn't it?" She'd say with the confidence of knowing his own self esteem was struck harder than any spell. Speaking of spells...  she'd smile with great victory to the critical strike she had delivered to Magloria. @Props ValRoa 

Slowly moving over towards the limp form to observe her reward as Frostbite recovered his stamina from all the failed thrusts of axe swings. But something... was not right. "H-huh?" The unicorn changling would slowly lean in. "W-what is that... glowing color? What is going on?"

Some of her fear would disappate as her match, Dynamo Pad would reassure her with a hoof around her and she would nod "Y-you're right, we need to work together to get out of this mess" she'd say, listening to the two friends talk and then at the mention of the game Changeling Escape, she'd tilt her head but then smile a little "O-oh I played that game, I agree with you,it was lots of fun, but the jumpscares really scared me, I'd often start crying after one and my dad would have to comfort me" she'd say softly, and would then begun to walk with the others, trying to find their way out.

Soon though, they were greeted by a strange sight, it was a Parasprite that seemed to have a broken wing, and the strangest part, it spoke. After hearing the soft cries and voice of the little Parasprite, all of Caramel's fears would go away as she would immediately use her magic to levitate the injured creature to her outreached hoof "O-oh you poor little one" she'd say as she would begin to inspect the sprite's wing and using her magic to go through her saddlebag to find her first aid kit "What happened to you? Did those mean Changelings hurt you?" she asks, finding a few things small and suitable enough to make a splint for the critter and fixing the splint to it's wing. "There we go, now I don't suggest you try flying again until your wing is healed, for now.." she'd place the small one into her mane "make yourself comfortable, please" she would smile a little, feeling better after having helped the sprite.

She would then look to her companions and blush a little "A-ah sorry about that, I just love helping others, specifically animals and fillies and colts" she'd say a litlte sheepishly, "I-it's actually my talent" she then looks around and thinks of something, "Litlte one?" she'd ask the sprite "Do you know the way out of here? could you please help us?"

A parasprite would perk up, feeling like its calls were finally answered. It ignored, though the call to not fly for some time and continued hovering in the air. However, now it was finally opening up to @Dynamo Pad and @Aurora Glimmer

"Thank You so much!" it spoke to Aurora in a high pitched, cheery voice. "I've been looking for the both of You! Dynamo and Aurora, am I right?" It would examine them more carefully and humm with a soft voice. As its assumption was confirmed beyond any doubt it continued.

"You may wonder how do I know Your names, hm?" It giggled playfully. "You see, I actually know of that mean black mare's plan! I was spying on her! That means I also know how to get You all out from here. For that, however... I need ponies with Your talents! Would You follow me? That way I can show You gratitude for help!" The parasprite would giggle again and spin in the air several times, its mouth opened wide with visible excitement.

Magloria would lay still for a moment - the shimmering would stop and she'd stand right up. She smirked wildly, a sultry - yet devious look across her face. Her eyes look directly at the changeling, staring it down. A flash of blue wiped across her glossy cold eyes. 

"You are about to find out." Magloria said in a casual manner as she would suddenly charge towards the Changeling - her horn erupting and lighting up like a miniature sun - shining in the exact same way that the Changeling's magic was. She moved, almost explosively. There was a bit of a stagger in her step though, indicating that she did get hurt a bit by the attack, but was pushing through.

Her horn erupted suddenly in a flair of blue magic - pulsing, and surging forth like a force of nature as it formed a precise beam of energy - surging forth towards the Changeling like lightning.

The Changling looked as if the smug smile had been slapped off her face -- a look of betrayal as she now narrowed her gaze in defiance and snarled -- her eyes now glowing green with rage -- this pathetic little pony was easy the first round -- this shouldn't be too hard now----- but as the thought process took place -- the beams of bright light from Magloria's horn would strike the unicorn-changling so hard -- it would go flying into oblivion! Not quite into oblivion -- because another Changling would be hit by her -- "OW!! HEY!! BACK OFF!" It would shove her -- "We're on the same team, what's your problem?!" 

The crowd of changlings gathered to see what the commotion was about before the offended one claimed out loud "YOU KNOW WHAT?! IM GONNA TELL MOTHER ABOUT THIS!"

And with that, the collective sound of a gasp could be heard as they all widened their eyes in fear. "N-NO! NO NO NO DON'T DO. THAT! DON'T CALL MOTHER!! THE LAST TIME SHE THOUGHT WE HIT EACH OTHER SHE BANNED US INTO THE CUCOON FOR WEEKS!" 

With an intense buzzing, they'd all retreat into the distance. Seemingly disappearing altogether -- somewhere.

After listening to the tree's response, Tree Song searched the area around its trunk. As the tree said, there were three gems hidden there. She picked them up, and caught up with the rest of the group, examining the cottage.

"The tree has given us these lucky gems as a thank you gift for helping it. This one is for you, @Sophie H.." Tree Song gave her the yellow gem. "And this is for you, @Reality Check" Reality got a teal gem. "And I've got the purple one." She showed her gem for everypony to see. "The tree said you should keep them close."

Astral Soul is in the cottage with @Tree Song @Silly Druidand was brewing some lovely tea. He notices the cottage has water, a kettle and some cups.

He offers some to Tree Song and says they should protect the tree from the Changelings.

Nebel turned his head towards the source of the new voice that addressed him. “Ah yes, hello there, Vibrant.” Extending a hoof to match Vibrants’. I do remember you rather sketchily handing me a letter from a dark alley and disappearing about as fast you appeared. It’s nice to be able to meet properly.” He replies with a small grin. “What a situation we find ourselves in, indeed.”

Back to the parasprite, it seems Caramel has a hidden talent related to helping animals. Nebel watches with interest as she manages to make a splint small enough for the tiny critter and places it on her mane.

“No need to apologize.” Nebel says with a smile. “I think that’s a really cool talent that you have. It certainly seems to appreciate what you did.”

Silky would look around, seeing @Astral Souloffering some tea to Tree Song @Silly Druidshe would smile fondly before making her way to the other side of the table. @Silverspark184! "Oh Silvy?! Where are you?!" She'd gently call, looking around, now officially concerned. Was she taken by a changling? Her eyes were now wide with worry. Usually the little filly was always disappearing and being up to mischief, but now with all the buzzing gone -- shouldn't she be near? Silky would check under the bed and other areas SilverSpark normally hid under.

Nodding at Caramel's words, Dynamo blushed slightly as her small smile had made his heart to melt. Upon hearing that she too played Changeling Escape, he smiled. "You played, as well? I did hear that the game had a bit of a following, but it's more of an old classic. At least, that's what my teacher had told me, of course." He'd explain, before giving the chocolate mare an apologetic expression. "I'm really sorry to hear about the jump scares. You'd think they'd give you a warning with how often or random it would happen. I'm glad that your dad was able to be there to comfort you." He smiled softly, placing a hoof upon her shoulder. As Caramel attended to the parasprite, Dynamo watched in awe once Caramel went to work. The soothing in her voice, the caring affection and the way she took care of the parasprite. It was like everything went by like clockwork as she managed to make a splint small enough to help the small creature with its wing. It was as if she was a mother tending to her young to make sure that everything was okay. To Dynamo, seeing her take care of the parasprite was such a heartfelt site.

Once she placed the parasprite in her mane, Dynamo smiled as he shook his head. "It's okay and no need to apologize, Caramel. I think it was really amazing at how you were able to care for the parasprite. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought that you were a nurse for any and all animals." It's just like what @GeneralDirectionNebel had said. You have a really cool special talent,as well as a way with animals and other creatures."

A parasprite would perk up, feeling like its calls were finally answered. It ignored, though the call to not fly for some time and continued hovering in the air. However, now it was finally opening up to @Dynamo Pad and @Aurora Glimmer

"Thank You so much!" it spoke to Aurora in a high pitched, cheery voice. "I've been looking for the both of You! Dynamo and Aurora, am I right?" It would examine them more carefully and humm with a soft voice. As its assumption was confirmed beyond any doubt it continued.

"You may wonder how do I know Your names, hm?" It giggled playfully. "You see, I actually know of that mean black mare's plan! I was spying on her! That means I also know how to get You all out from here. For that, however... I need ponies with Your talents! Would You follow me? That way I can show You gratitude for help!" The parasprite would giggle again and spin in the air several times, its mouth opened wide with visible excitement.

Hearing the parasprite was still surprising to the gaming unicorn, but he still smiled at the little creature's thanks. "You're welcome and I'm glad we were able to help you." He said, before blinking as his and Caramel's names were spoken. "T-That's right, but how do you know our names?" He asked, before the pink ball asked the same question. If Dynamo didn't know better, he thought the parasprite had read his mind. Although, recalling the classes he had, he knew that wasn't the case. "Wait a minute. You mean Queen Chrysalis?" He asked, hearing the small creature mention the previous changeling queen. "You know how to get us out of here? I mean, don't get me wrong. We are grateful and we might take you up on that offer. However, what do you mean you need ponies with our talents? I don't really consider my special talent to be anything useful." He would say, his voice getting slightly softer as he brushed one of his hooves along the dirt beneath them.

As the noise died down and the fighting had settled, there was a moment of recharge with relief that finally they may have taken a break. 

However, a strange sound outside of the cottage could be heard as a resin-making changling began covering the tree with some goo. It remained behind and turned around to notice Magloria @Props ValRoafully exerted after that impressive spell. It revealed its fangs with a deepened grin and decided to seize the opportunity, its wings buzzing as it lifted to take flight and fully lunge while her back was turned!

The parasprite would keep flying around @Dynamo Pad Dynamo and @Aurora GlimmerCaramel before starting to hover at one of passages, seemingly expecting them to follow. Now that it's perfectly healed its cuteness could truly be seen, a stark contrast when compared to everything else that surrounds ponies here.

Slowly moving over towards the limp form to observe her reward as Frostbite recovered his stamina from all the failed thrusts of axe swings. But something... was not right. "H-huh?" The unicorn changling would slowly lean in. "W-what is that... glowing color? What is going on?"

Magloria would lay still for a moment - the shimmering would stop and she'd stand right up. She smirked wildly, a sultry - yet devious look across her face. Her eyes look directly at the changeling, staring it down. A flash of blue wiped across her glossy cold eyes. 

"You are about to find out." Magloria said in a casual manner as she would suddenly charge towards the Changeling - her horn erupting and lighting up like a miniature sun - shining in the exact same way that the Changeling's magic was. She moved, almost explosively. There was a bit of a stagger in her step though, indicating that she did get hurt a bit by the attack, but was pushing through.

Her horn erupted suddenly in a flair of blue magic - pulsing, and surging forth like a force of nature as it formed a precise beam of energy - surging forth towards the Changeling like lightning.

Frostbite yelled something and swung the axe, leaping clear over Magloria's head and slamming into the second changeling, axe embedding straight into its torso. It let out a wail, but he was already turning away, back toward the changeling that Magloria had blasted, disregarding the fact that she'd already taken care of it.

He didn't care. He wanted blood.

Looking quickly back towards the parasprite, Dynamo blinked in surprise as he thought he misheard it. "I-I have exactly the talent that's needed to help?" He almost didn't want to believe it, but before he had more time to question it, the little pink ball had begun floating towards the passages. Looking back towards the others, before turning to look at Caramel, he could only tilt his head slightly in uncertainty. "What do you think, Caramel? Think we should follow it? If they're saying that they can help us in order to find the others, then maybe we should take a chance." He would say, looking towards the others to see what they thought about everything that had just happened.

Magloria was thankful that Frostbite showed clear combat experience - she wanted to thank him, but wasted no time in grabbing her rapier off the ground and charging at any remaining changelings in the area, with the intention of striking at them. Her magic may be spent - but her will power remains.

As Magloria, or Frostbite for that matter, would look around, they'd notice the entire scene was clear. The only thing disturbing that remained was the resin goo upon the tree that would later disturb @Silly Druidat some point if even discovered. Other than that, the area was covered with memories of battle and tension. But now they could retreat to recover their thoughts -- and their muscles.
