As you continue down the paths toward Sweet Apple Acres, you are met with the sight of the trees changing. While they still have colorful leaves of red, orange, and yellow. You are met with a few apples scattered around the branches. All ready to be picked before the end of the Fall Season. Coming into view, you see a giant red barn, a few fields that have been plowed, animals like pigs, chickens in their pen, crops and more. You then see the sight of an orange furred, yellow mane and tail earth pony. Both of which are done up in a ponytail, as well as her iconic cowgirl hat. It was Sweet Apple Acres and Ponyville’s very own Applejack. Upon seeing your arrival to the farm, the orange earth pony gave a cheer. 

“Yeehaw! Howdy everypony! I hope that y’all have been enjoying the race and have been staying strong! I don’t recall there being two paths, but this is perfect!” Applejack started, stepping aside as she raised a hoof towards the two paths. “I wish to welcome you to yer next obstacle! Here, we have two paths you can take. At first, we thought it would be best for y’all to do both obstacles in this leg of the race. However, after some deliberation, we came up with a good solution. Instead of everyone taking part in both, we thought to split it up into two. This way, each and every one of you that’s competing can decide which path you wish to take on. On the left, you’ll have to run down the path dodging barrels along the way. Just like how Rainbow Dash and I did when competing in the Iron Pony competition. The rules for that are simple. See how fast you can get from the starting line to the finish. All the while, dodging barrels along the way as you run. This will be a test of your speed and agility.” Applejack explained, gesturing her hoof over towards the other side of the path. 

“On your right, you’ll have to jump over some hurdles. Three in total and each jump will be increasing in difficulty. Once you go around the track, you’ll have to jump over each hurdle that will show up in your path. Just like when I was training for the Equestrian Rodeo competition. This will be a test of your endurance running along with your jumping ability.” Applejack lowered her hoof, before taking her place back in between the two paths. “All in all, the test you take will be yours to choose and yours alone. Once you choose the path you wish to go down, there’s no turning back. Even so, I know y’all will do amazing! Never forget to have fun, do your best and never give up when things become challenging. It’s like the old saying goes that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Good luck to you all, everypony!” Applejack exclaimed, waving to the racers as they decided which path to choose.

OOC: Welcome everyone to your second event!  The path has been sit into two. Meaning there are two obstacles, but one for you to choose from! Will you choose the path on the left and dodge some barrels as you run, or will you choose the path on the right and jump over some hurdles? The choice is yours! To overcome either obstacle, you must roll a D20 once more to decide your fate! A roll of 10 or lower will result in a penalty. A 25% decrease on your next roll when racing down the track. An 11 to a 16 will proceed as normal. If you manage to roll a 17 or higher, then a reward will be presented to you! A 50% increase on your next roll when racing down the track. Don’t forget to add your reactions upon what you roll when taking on the obstacle. The effects of your roll will go into effect once you get past the obstacle. Good luck to you all and may the roll be in your favor once more!

Titanium, still reeling from the effects of the magic, struggles to focus on Applejacks voice. She completely fails to understand what is needed of her and continues trying to run down the left path, until suddenly a barrel comes out of seemingly nowhere and plows straight into her, knocking Titanium off her hooves and into the mud. She struggles to stand back up as her mind races from the confusion. She holds her breath and tightens her stomach muscles, trying as hard as she can to not vomit from the nausea and now sudden impact. Eyes spiralling around in their sockets, her vision blurs and sways, little birds flying in circles around her head.

Discord’s smile slowly grew from ear to ear of his handiwork. Seeing Shiny with her trail of snow caused him to snap his fingers, while a scarf was draped around his neck. “Oh, I sure do wish I brought my ice skates. Then we could really try and break the ice. Being able to spread some chaos around here and there is why I love this snow much.” Discord cackled, grabbing his sides as he was in a fit of giggles. “I’m so glad that somepony else has a good sense of humor. I just love a good pun. They’re always so funny, or should I say, punny?” Discord winked, his eyebrow removing itself from his face as it moved up and down higher and higher. Realizing what had transpired, he conjured up a rope, before lassoing the eyebrow back to where it belonged.

As he looked at the chair, before him, he began to think of what Fluttershy would want. Even though he was having his fun, he knew the race had to continue. “As much of this is fun and all, I’m afraid this is where the fun shall end. Well…fun for me that is. As the old saying goes, the show must go on!” Discord exclaimed, snapping his fingers to stop time and forcing everyone to come to a standstill. “Time out!” He held his arms up as it day scream time out to everyone. There we go! Oh, I’ve always wanted to do that! Now to tie up some loose ends. Got to add my creative, chaotic flare, after all.” He dashed ahead of the pack, before pulling out a paintbrush, canvas, easel, and paint smock. Holding up a thumb as it disconnected from his paw, the draconequus got to work on the painting. “Just need to add a couple of golden brown, oranges and yellows and a luscious blue background. The trick is to use a blend of colors together to make the whole painting come to life.” With each stroke of the brush, it looked like his painting was coming to life. “And…voila~!” As his thumb reattached itself to his paw, he stopped to marvel at his work. What he painted was an exact replica of the race course, as well as the sign and the barrel of fallen apples on the ground ahead. The only difference was that instead of a sign that had multiple arrows, there were only two arrows to choose from. Along with the path being split into two. The sign’s writing included more to it. Shortcut to Sweet Apple Acres! Test your agility to the left or test you jumping to the right.

“You’ve got to hand it to yourself, Discord. You’ve truly outdone yourself this time! Why, this should be in an art museum to be marveled at! Hmmm…perhaps another time. Now for the finishing touches. A-A-A-Achoo!” Discord started, feeling a sneeze coming as he huffed, puffed and blew the painting down. Causing all the contents of the painting to spill out from the canvas to the course ahead of the racers. If they noticed, it was as if they had been brought back to the earlier sign, but not realizing that the course itself was altered by Discord’s influence. “I guess it’s time for me to take my leave, but there’s one or two more things I should do.” He smirked playfully, floating up to the balloon that Starlight and Trixie located. He pulled a fishing rod out of thin air as he sat back down in his comfy chair. Donning a hat, he reeled back his fishing line, before casting it into the horizon. Narrowing his eyes slightly, the draconequus waited for a bite, before his line began to tug. “Aha! Now I’ve got you!” Discord exclaimed, turning the line as his bite soon appeared. It looked like the sun was fighting back from being raised, but Discord would not be denied. “It’s a big one folks! Looks like I’ve got the catch of the day! Woohoo!!!!” Discord cheered, pulling the sun up into place. At the same time, the Cold Moon was being lowered as a result. The sky brightened as any and all effects of the Cold Moon would dissipate. With a sigh and a wipe of his brow, the chair and fisherman hat were teleported away.

“There we are! Everything looks like it’s back into place! The snow is something that won’t go away right away, buuuuuuuut…that’s something that I don’t think is something to worry about. Now, then. What to do with the sleeping unicorn. A bucket of water would be the quickest way to wake her up, but that’s too cliche. Oh! I have an idea~! Snapping his fingers once more, a bucket of chocolate milk was conjured up from out of thin air. “I got two orders of chocolate milk for Starlight Glimmer and her best friend, Trixie! Courtesy of your friend, Discord, the master of chaos! Hope you both enjoy and I hope you like chocolate flavored cinnamon nuts! Tata~! Time in!” With a bow, he snapped his fingers one last time as he disappeared without a trace. Time starting back up once again for the racers.

OOC: Welcome, everyone! The time has come for the second obstacle to take place! If you haven’t made your roll yet, please do them now. Your next day post will find you heading down the path  to your next obstacle! What will this obstacle be? Time will soon tell.

*Suddenly, Shiny Silvermoon sensed warmth within her cold body and noticed that the snow has ceased to fall around her. She felt some relief from witnessing her freezing powers disappear and her body tempurature go back to normal. The mare then looked up and noticed that it was day time again and that the Cold Moon was gone. All of a sudden, the participants that weren't too far away heard some beeping sounds coming from Shiny. Her cutie mark also began to flicker with a red hue a few times.* "That sound! I normally hate that sound but right now it's music to my hears!"

*Then, there was a red flash of light and, after it dissipated, the unicorn was back to her original form.*

"Thank you, Moon, for allowing me to continue the race without the struggles of the snow!" *She said, before leaping happily again like she used to. Without the snow slowing her down, the leaps of the mare were very rapid and she quickly catched up with her friends.*

*However, she was stopped by the sign pointing toward the Sweet Apple Acres which she decided to follow.*

*Arrived at the farm, she met Applejack and the rest of her friends who all took different directions, after listening to the explainations of the orange earth pony.*

"Mmmmh... Left or right? It would be logic for me to go the the left, since I'm basically the world's best leaper but I think that I'll do something completely unexpected abd go to the right!" *She said to @Applejack, before leaping toward the barrels. With a lot of agility, she went through the obstacle without any problem.*

*As she was sliding between the obstacles, Shiny spotted Titanium @Wizard on the ground with @Nitobit trying to help her. She immediately ceased to leap and rushed toward them.*

"Is she okay?!" *She asked to the batpony.* "Don't worry, Titamium! I won't leaf you behind! If you don't feel so good, we can simply walk next to each others and have a nice chat!"

Titanium flinches at the voice of @Shiny Silvermoon "Whoa, hey, no more magic! I'm sick enough as it is!" The mare instinctively yells while stumbling forward, "I'm allergic to magic, all these spells, levitation, ice, day to night, space and time warping all around me. This is insane!" She lurches at the last word, returning to her breathing exercises.

Titanium feels a wing press against her back, she slumps a little while listening to @Nitobit 's explanation of things. "That would explain the sudden bunnies... And the snow, and... Well, everything." She sighs, leaning down to pick up what remains of the snow on the side of the track and pressing it against her face. A shudder crawls down her spine and she shakes the snow off. "Hoo boy, that should help with the nausea." She mutters to herself, hoping the refreshing cold would be enough to restart her system.

She turns her head towards Moonlight, smiling, "If that's true and I'll suddenly be all alone again up front, then I will be expecting you to catch up mister. It won't look good if a dainty little pony beats the strong bat~" Titanium winks at the blue stallion. "Don't keep me waiting."

Moonlight flinches and shakes his head, trying to shake off a bit of paint that Titanium's tail left on his muzzle.

"A little cake batter? Did you even see-" Moonlight remembers how he looked coming out of the previous obstacle, and concludes that there's no reason to remind her. "Nevermind. We're still racing, so we shouldn't delay. Good luck, Titanium!"

He gives her a little pat on the head, before sprinting off.

Samurai, despite being far behind, was able to see the choice of the two paths. By by the time he got to the two possible paths, Applejack is there to explain it. Samurai stops momentarily to look at the two paths. "Hmm... Normally, I'd reject both and make my own paths. However, for the sake of fairness, there is only one way to settle this. I was gonna save this for the next time I hang out with @Dynamo Pad. I was certain he would enjoy this..."

Samurai pulls out 3 coins on by one. "You count the medals; 1, 2, and 3. Life goes on. Anything goes. Coming up, O's!" Singing a quick little jingle, Samurai flips them up super high and catches each one as they come back down.

Applejack! I smile a big smile. Good to see another friendly face. I come up to the fork in the path. I take the one with the barrels. I give Applejack a friendly smile and an incline of my head in greeting as I go by her. I do very well in the barrel weave. I'm pretty proud of myself! I grin, this couldn't have worked out better. I think I might be getting a hang of this racing thing.

Barrels: 13, so I proceed as normal.

[Silver Slate]

Silver proceeded to the left as he had been before Applejack greeted them, and shortly reached the barrel obstacle.

While the course seemed simple enough, a squirrel he spotted distracted him, causing him to knock one of the barrels over. He stopped to put the barrel back up before continuing, feeling embarrassed.

(OOC: 25% penalty for rolling 10 or less in the obstacle 8/5

He does his best to make up for the setback, trying his best to put his blunder behind him. This race was far from over.

(I have been a bit on hiatus so I would like to offer my recap) credit to @Sir Hugsalot for all of this information as I get easily overwhelmed but I am learning <3 )

Silky looked around at all of the shenanigans, truly feeling like an Ice Princess as the entire place was surrounded by SNOW! @Shiny Silvermoon suddenly bursting into song about "Do you want to build a snow man!" And she couldn't help but giggle in spite of the temporary disturbance of Discord. "Oh Shiny, how I love you!"

Suddenly... she now heard AppleJack. She hesitated for a moment but listened carefully before suddenly smirking to her beloved, Vibrant. @Sir Hugsalot "Hmm... sounds like the right is the easy way and the left one is the more challenging way." She'd flip her hair over her wing. "I know you'd probably prefer the right path as Mr. Right and all of that -- but I won't go easy on you. I'll choose the left path."

[Vibrant Grove]

"Oh, a challenge, huh?" Vibrant responded to @Ice Princess Silky <3 "Don't think I will go easy on you, darling!"

He rushed after her down the left path, to the obstacle course, ready to take on the challenge and handle his weakness - agility. He found himself surprised by the fact that, while he still had to put much effort into his hoofwork, finding himself trapped and knocked over numerous times, he managed to get out of it relatively unscathed. 

As he finally dragged himself out from all the contraptions designed almost perfectly to slow him down he saw that the lovely pink mare was already ahead. She actually did beat him. So without further ado he rushed forward to catch up with her, while still feeling dizzy from all the jumping and dodging he just had to do.

Obstacle course roll:

[Ice Princess Silky <3 13,892]

Silky was cocky as she'd run forward and chuckle. She had already seen it all. Chaos, distractions and random snow... there was no way she would allow another challenge to get in her way.

Rolling under barrels and keeping her hoof-work flowing, she'd suddenly be hit in the face with a snow ball and that would stop her momentarily but she would still be ahead of Vibrant, to her surprise, she'd look back and see him face his weakness which was, apparently, agility.

Her strength. She'd giggle and run back and offer comfort and a wing hug.

*After making sure that Titanium @Wizard didn't harm herself by running into a barrel, Shiny Silvermoon continued her journey. However, it was a short return to the race, since she spotted @Ice Princess Silky <3 giving an hug to @Sir Hugsalot and wanted to join them. The joyfully bounced on her hooves, alike Pinkie Pie do, toward the two pegasus and tightly embraced them both without any warning.*

"You are both Silkytastic!"

He gives her a little pat on the head, before sprinting off.

With a boost to her confidence, and rivalry renewed, Titanium takes off into a sprint. The path ahead feels strangely short, as if time and space was slowly correcting itself, until the other ponies around her began to fade away, and she was alone once more. 'Wait until my therapist hears about this...' she thinks, chuckling a little as she does so. 'The god of chaos himself messing with the race... 'I bet manehatten doesn't have to deal with things like this' she wonders to herself. Thinking back to when she first moved into Ponyville, only even doing so because she couldn't afford the prices of studios anywhere else. She has had fun though, even through all of the adventure, drama, and stress... She had made some great connections here. Her thoughts drift towards the others, and counts herself lucky to have met them.

This new drive and vigor pushed her forward, it doesn't matter whether she wins, but if she can come top 3, she can celebrate with everypony else. That is now her goal. She had entered this race for such selfish reasons, trying to boost her fame and bring more customers to her studio... She no longer really cares about any increase to her fame... She smiles as a single tear rolls down her cheek.

[Samurai Equine 51,394]

STEPS: 6 - 25% = 4.
LEAVES: 10

Seeing the barrels in his way, Samurai starts off strong, doing some professional leaps and twirls over a few like some kind of olympic gymnast~! However at one point, Samurai lands in a puddle.

"AHH!!! Wet! Get it off!!"

Samurai waves his hoof and stumbles back, running into a few of the barrels and making a mess, ultimately slipping and falling. However, Samurai picks himself up, shakes off the water from the puddle, and decides to advice ahead a bit more carefully instead.

"...I hope no pony saw that." Samurai quietly says to himself.
