How would you imagine Chrysalis' son/daughter?

A thought occured to be. Due to how little we know of Chrysalis and the Changeling Kingdom, and zero evidence supporting Chrysalis being immortal, it is highly likely Chrysalis might have a son or daughter/heir to her throne, thus giving the potential for a new character in Season 3 providing Chrysalis' return.

How would you imagine Chrysalis' possible little prince/ss? A spoiled brat? A morality pet who brings out the good in Chrysalis? A deadpan snarker?

This is entirely fan speculation with the limited information we have.

Update: In 'Thie Day Area', the line, "In my heart there is no room" is open to interpretation, but it COULD be interpreted as the love for her son/daughter, her successor, possibly the only thing she genuinely loves?

I don't think she would have had a heir. She actually reminds me of the Locust Queen from Gears of War. Maybe she'd have a second in command or something.

"In my heart there is no room."

So yeah, not good o.o ~

It is still possible she has an heir, except there's just no love for the little tyke. There's a trope for this, I believe it's called 'Royaly Screwed Up'.

Yeah, but let's just say for the sake of argument she has one.

I never said she didn't have an heir,

it's extremely unlikely.

But even if she did it would be (to quote my op) 'not good.'

Oh, I see. Sorry. Yeah, not good, not good At All.

If Chrysalis had disguised herself as Cadance for any length of time, she and Shining Armor might have... you know... snuggled at night.

That would be one bizarre scenario: Shining Armor's bastard child by Chrysalis, who was acting as Cadance.

Perhaps she reproduces asexually?

To be frank, they're at the very least half-bug, so I really don't find it hard to believe this theory. At the very least, I do believe all the Changelings are her children just like a lot of bug species, because they all look the exact same. There is no distinction whatsoever between them like ponies, or any other species we've seen like griffons.

I wouldn't be surprised if she's not actually a mammal: Changelings seem to be heavily suggestive of insects, which would infer that she lays eggs (which would immediate that most of those Changelings seen in the episode are her offspring, and if ants or termites are any indication, likely all female.)

Um, I think all the changelings could be her sons/daughters...:blink:

Exactly my thoughts. They seem to be some sort of hive mind insect-like creatures, like Tyranids. My current theory on the subject is that all changeling reproduction works like an ant hive.

Chrysalis' child? I imagine her kingdom being like the hospital/purgatory in this video, where the children are wasting away and the tyrant schemes and reflects bitterly on their fate. I see her mate or heir being like Manson's changeling-esque image here. Particularly the one with the dead tree branch antlers, where everything is covered in ashes.

(potentially disturbing content...not violent or sexual per se, just...disturbing)
