There are plenty of fanfics out there sadder than my Little Dashie. It's just the fans that like Rainbow Dash most so they don't even feel any emotion when reading sadfics of any other character. I can tell you some: Scorched by Kody910 (Fimfiction), To Be an Alicorn (by some author who wrote Spark), and Yours Truly by Thanqol (FimFiction). I doubt you'd find them sad since you're a fan of Rainbow Dash and all, but these truly touched my heart and are definitely sadder than MLD.

One that really hit me emotionally was Moonrise.  It's very brutal and sad.  It alternates between showing Twilight on her deathbed and a love story between Twilight and Luna.  It's extremely well written and is tied with My Little Dashie for my favorite fanfic.

There are actually many fics that have made me more sad than MLD. Yours Truly by Thanqol, parts of The Games We Play by AbsoluteAnonymous, Shine by The Descendant, I could find more but these three are amazing and worth a look.

MLD is overrated anyway. One that's really sad is The Things We Leave Behind by theswimminbrony. Although if you really want something sad then don't read a fanfic, watch Angel Beats. The best anime ever.

Well I don't really read a whole lot of sad fics, I watched MLD late at night and I didn't cry during reading it(I know I know souless.) but I haven't read any sadder fics really, i don't want to read to many because If I do end up crying my parents are going to walk in and be asking why I'm crying, and being a closet brony I can't explain it to them so yeah..

 

I'm sure theres sadder out there though.

My Little Dashie is pretty terrible, IMO. It's nothing but poorly-written self-insert wish-fulfilment with a forced sad scene at the end.

 

Now, I don't usually read sadfics. I prefer epics and other long stories. But among the stories I've read, Fallout: Equestria mostly had me crying at chapters 17, 39, 45, and a little bit at 37; Of War and Friendship had a very touching scene with Rainbow Dash near the middle; Parliament of Dreams had some pretty heartfelt stuff late in the story; and even Cupcakes made me shed a tear by the end.

 

Those 4 were alot sadder than MLD was, what with all their fancy "character development" and "storytelling" stuff that most would consider necessary for building emotional attachment.

I have never cried reading fiction, but this is the saddest story I have ever read. Literally, i read a line and closed the app with the risk of my tears becoming notsible to my family. What would of taken an hour to read took me twice as long. But overal, it was a great story and I'm not planing on reading anything sadder anytime soon

I recommend "Bubbles" and "Doctor Whooves Adventures: Good Day Goodnight" (The Sequel to the not so great "Goodnight Goodnight"). Unlike "My little Dashie", these are actually well written/told.
