Lunar Republic or Solar Empire?

The Lunar REPUBLIC is communist?

Just saying, the name implies a democracy of some kind

not really like for example China. It's full name is the People's Republic of China and it is communist.

Probably going to have to go with the Solar Empire on this. Luna may be a princess, but she seems too unstable to make a good leader, wheras Celestia has a thousand years of experience, maybe more.

Anyway, the Luna Republic couldn't be a truly communist if Luna was it's leader, as a true communist state would have no leader.

Ah ha. I see. Well that clarifies things. I guess it would also be hard to have a democracy with royalty leading the country. unless it's like Brittan where the royalty is just a symbol.

Equestria is most likely a Diarchy, where two people rule. Maybe they have a constitutional assembly too, but that's getting kinda complicated.

USSR was a single party socialist state, North Korea may be an Autocracy or a single party socialist state, I'm not too sure. They're both not too big on human rights though.

I'll stick with the one who didn't throw a tantrum over biological functions (Luna was angry that ponies slept, the appreciation thing is fanon)and didn't turn into a genocidal maniac because of it. Also, at least Celestia tried against Chrysalis while Luna was sleeping

That video you provided embodies everything I dislikeabout the Solar Empire and Lunar Republic. all reason and logic are thrown out the window for a senseless conflict, where facts are tossed aside because they are not nearly as interesting.

 

Celestia and Luna are the diarches of Equestria, they are meant to rule together. Nightmare Moon, what Princess Luna became, threatened the lives of the Equestria citizens in the act of creating Eternal Night. Princess Celestia did what she had to though she suffered for it for 1000 years because of guilt. Why did she not see the signs? Perhaps she suspected but did nothing to prevent it justify herself by saying she's too busy or that she would talk to Luna tomorrow.

 

Yet even then Princess Luna still decided by her own choice to allow darkness into her heart, putting aside the dangers and the risks in her desire for ponies to experience her beautiful nights. The princess of the moon messed up, both princesses have made mistakes and both must now live with them.

 

The princesses are finally together again, do not tear them apart in some revolution or civil war. Let these two sisters work as one to protect Equestria, dividing them will only destroy the land and bring necessary death to so many.

Neutral, because I think the entire idea is nonsensical.

 

Yes, I understand it's more of a joke than a serious allegiance, but I don't think there's anything wrong with their co-rule. Celestia said that she wanted to rule alongside Luna in the pilot after all. We've seen them both controlling their respective space bodies and both seem to command equal respect, why divide a people along an idealogical line that doesn't even exist?
