I LIKE DIAMOND TIARA ~

duh duh duh (for real though) :x she's uber cute annnd I loathe Rainbow Dash she's an arrogant b--

I also think Mitt will make a better president than Obama ;)

I love all gens of pokemon and black & white 2 > red and blue

now what 90's kids?

I have so many unpopular opinions. :P

Pony related (read at your own risk!):

I think My Little Pony IS overrated, but I still like it; which is strange as I usually don't like overrated/popular stuff.

Celestia > Luna. Even Cadence > Luna.

The CMC uninterest me. Their cutie mark adventure thing is overused and already lost its effect.

I like Diamond Tiara better than the CMC.

The Scootaloo is a chicken, Fluttershy is a tree etc. are the most overused and unfunny memes IMO.

Background ponies, especially Vinyl Scratch and Derpy, uninterest me.

Having merchandise does not make you a better fan.

Hasbro is biased.

Most OCs are bad.

I dislike EqD.

Yours Truly is the best sadfic there is.

Most fanfics are bad.

Oops, now I'm complaining :P Supposed to be unpopular opinions...right.

I agree with everything said here.... soul mate? :o

~

how can you not love?

1. Batman the Dark Knight Rises is the most overrated Batman movie ever

2. Gilda may have been a jerk but Pinkie Pie was just as bad in that episode

3. Most first person shooter games these days are just the same game with a different title

4. I have never understood why people obsess over sports

5. 90% of what is on TV is complete garbage

6. 90% of "pop music" is the same bland boring overplayed notes and chords played over and over again ad nauseum

7. I see very little difference between Obama and Romney

8. I think we should mind our own business and stay out of the Israeli Palestinian conflict and most other foreign entaglements

I have countless other unpopular opinions but I think I will save the Pinkie Pie level doozy's for other topics.

i think its stupid to be a gangster because all you do is act all hard and get shot. i also don't really dig candles most smell bad

You probably meant gangster rapper, real gang members sell drugs and be a pimp.Mafia bosses can make it to the top 20 richest in matter of 4-5 years so it's a highly rewarding profession despite the high risk.

I agree with the Diamond Tiara admirers in here. She's a rich, gossipy brat, but she'll get better with age. Silver Spoon is already better, she just hangs out with Diamond because she's afraid nopony else will like her.

I agree with Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate, on more of the issues than either Obama or Romney. Strange, because I'm all for cutting spending and stimulus packages, but Libertarianism itself is hugely problematic and will cause even greater economic inequality than we already have. Oh, well. Johnson has no hope of winning, so I can afford to vote for him on principle. xD

I might actually vote for Jesse Ventura if he ran for president. Granted, the blurring between politics and entertainment is increasingly prevalent and dangerous, but he proved he could handle it as the Governor of Minnesota...and at least he's a far more knowledgeable statesman than Ah-nold.

more unpopular opinion

-I think it was a huge mistake for the government of japan to ban depictions of children in anime/manga and panties vending machine as those are few things that makes japan unique.

-incest should be legal as long as the couple don't produce biological children

These two I agree with in my most pragmatic moods. The others are insane. Really, are you sure you're not just doing this to one-up everyone else in the thread?

Nah I think that my opinion on incest is getting mainstream

As for the japanese government banning those things? I'm against it because the overwhelming number of natives are against banning it and I feel that people should decide culture, not the government. There are lots of countries that believe in a certain religion and allows marriage to children, I don't agree with it but each country's citizen should decide it's own culture and not succumb to western pressure or puppet governments.

Cannibalism should be legal as long the meat isn't obtained from murder of innocents.A good example would be someone in japan selling 1 of his own organ to be cannibalized, not due to financial difficulties but due to some weird belief.Tribals practicing cannibalism of their dead loved ones should be legal too, most african countries ban cannibalism due to western pressure.

I think my biggest one is that I really don't want to have kids. I actually like children, in general, but I just don't think I would be a very good mother. I think the worst thing to do would be to let society pressure you into having children if you don't want them, because those kids would know. It's a human life we're talking about and a very HUGE commitment. Also, most parents I know (that is, my parents' age) do nothing but complain about their children and seem to really regret having them in the long run.

Other, more minor ones:

I don't really think lying is all that big of a deal. I mean, sure, you shouldn't do it, but I think it's silly when people place it in the same category as murder. To put it more simply, I think you can lie a lot and still be an overall good person.

Kind of strange, but I don't actually consider "annoying" as a necessarily negative term. I think one can be annoying in a good way. I also think being annoying is much better than being boring and/or snobby.

There are no Pokemon that I legitetely dislike

I think bacon is overrated

I like watching the movie Elf when it isn't even Chirstmas-time.

I think the following movies were better than the books they were based on (though just by a little bit): Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (even though PoA is my favorite HP book, I still think the movie is slightly better, but both are awesome), The Hunger Games and About a Boy.

I think euthenasia should be legalized because in some cases, it is the best solution to ending someone's pain

And also, I liked The Hangover II. It wasn't as good as the first one, but I still thought the characters were funny.

This site is overrun with naive children. Sometimes I feel compelled to correct their idiotic misconceptions about people, the world and life in general. Most of the time I blow it off and say "whatever...they'll learn otherwise soon enough."

What's the point of many fans calling themselves "bronies" if you are not even a bro? A 13-year old boy and a boy at least 18 if not well over that, more like young adulthood, is not the same type of "bro". That's where I see the disparity. I do not know the experience of seeing "bronies" in a middle or high school setting because I am past that age. What do they do, all sit at the same lunch table like some fandom-specific clique?

From my experience and from what I have seen young male and female bronies still eat lunch in the same group of friends as they did previously or would if they were not bronies. While many of the group may be bronies they accept and often have many members of their group be non-bronies or even brony-haters. The conversation does not always revolve around ponys rather it is often just a topic which comes up for discussion such as a book, game, or show. While currently many high schools consist of cliques there are no specific brony cliques from what I have seen. They are simply friends with who they are friends with because of their shared interests which may or may not include MLP.

Although if I may ask what is your definition of "Bro" and of "Brony", what would change a young man who loved MLP from a MLP fan to a full fledged brony?

Are not 13yo jocks and 19 yo jocks both jocks? Are not 14yo harry potter lovers and 35 yo harry potter lovers both potterheads? And let us not forget about the wide range of women twihards there are. Or the homestucks? How would one be able to define the difference between a young pony lover and an old pony lover? Do they not love the same thing? Aren't they part of the same fandom? Are older fans anymore brony than younger fans?

No, in that sense you are right: brony-ness (whatever that is) cannot be measured by age. I think that what I (and potentially Guillermo, though I can't speak for him) was saying is that there is a discrepancy worth acknowledging:

1. Bronies of all ages love the central themes of FIM

2. Older Bronies recognize that life as an adult requires certain perspectives, compromises and nuanced approaches.

3. Younger Bronies are somewhat aware of this, but are no more mature than other people their age, and are thus not immune to acting in the same ways that make older Bronies shake their heads and sigh in disappointment.

It's nothing personal...just a normal reaction to what is. It just so happens that most Bronies are within a certain age group, and those of us who fall outside of that primary age group will understandably be "outsiders looking in."

I have another unpopular opinion.

It makes me headdesk when people pretend they're superior because of their age. Okay, so I'm a kid. So what? I don't care if you're 23, I'll treat you like I treat everyone else.

Moderators shouldn't be treated with extra respect, or at least too much extra respect. So they hold the power of kicking you out forever, but it doesn't mean they're God. I'm pretty sure some mods are annoyed when people talk to them all formally as well. They're regular humans just like you. I talk to them normally, or at least as normally as I could with strangers... :( And this applies to pretty much every site with mods.

Insulting someone safely behind a computer screen doesn't make you cool.

No, I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I've been taken aback at some of the rather disturbing, closed-minded things posted in this thread as well.

Thankfully, those opinions are unpopular, and we can be thankful for that. :)

Right on. Many -- though not all -- kids act like you would expect from immature, inexperienced kids. If you are (relatively) not immature and inexperienced, then don't take our gripes at face value. As you yourself implied: it isn't about age per se, but the behavior that is commonly exhibited at such ages.

And I couldn't agree with you more about the idiotic mod-worship that runs rampant on this site.

I guess that school kids are gonna have different experiences on how their peers and environment react to pop-cultural crazes. Each individual school environment will be different. I'm just saying, I am from the generation that lived through the whole Pokémon drama and controversies (Not just the ones about Pokémon being evil to religiousness, that is only a small slice) , just like how a previous generation had Mario vs Sonic.

almost every other post in this thread makes me dry heave, does that count?

if not, then i think ditzy doo is a cuter name than derpy hooves and I'd much rather have her be called that.

I hope I haven't elicited that reaction. The very nature of the thread's subject is that people will try to one-up each other.

Indeed, Ditzy Doo is cuter, it sounds less slangy and meme-ish. Basically my interpretation of the "The Last Roundup" changes is that it is Tabitha St. Germain's fault. She kind of stupidly thought Ditzy Doo Derpy was male despite the snout shape. Basing Ditzy Doo's voice on that inaccuracy called for a change. Tabitha is still the best voice actor in the series, and the second voice is more ladylike, which makes it ironically funny.

There's also the fact that I personally see Ditzy Doo Derpy with non-derped eyes many times in the background.

I'm pretty sure I saw the original scene on TV and I was real meh about it.

Pinkie seems to annoy me, but I just love it when she cracks a joke here and there. Fluttershy is great and all, but her shyness doesn't let me see the real Fluttershy.

I really dislike people attaching the lesbian label to Rainbow Dash. If you find that connection within the character on a personal level, that's great. If the show hinted at her being a homosexual character, I would be fine that. I would respect the show. But the fact of the matter is, that is a fan interpretation, and not a fact. Sometimes a tomboy is just a tomboy. Sometimes a rainbow is just a rainbow. To assume someone is a lesbian because they are a tomboy is kind of arrogant.

I don't listen to his music on a regular basis, but I have heard Justin Bieber songs before, and I really don't see why people hate him so much. He can actually play a variety of instruments, so he's at least musically trained in someway, and I have honestly heard worse bands in my time. (There's also that whole thing where art forms are subjective)

I like Nirvana, but I think Kurt Cobain is overrated.

Candycorn is vile. It is the single most artificial candy I have ever sullied my mouth with. It doesn't even deserve to be called candy, because it tastes like molten candle wax mixed with Vaseline soaked in a bath of varnish. It's disgusting and horrid. And if you enjoy it...don't offer it to me. Please.

Adventure Time is good, probably the greatest show on CN now.

I hate Nintendo's new policy of casual gaming, let's see if the WiiU is any good!

I don't hate "Friday". Sure, it's a cheesy song, but hey, it's sung by a 14-y-o.

Obama sucks, lol

I like getting Rickrolled (blast from the past, lol)

I hate non-hetero ships and interspecies R34 (examples: DashxGilda, CadenzaxHuman  )

Yeah, there's probably more, but that's all I can think of.

EDIT: Black Ops (I) kicks ass,

I like Pepsi more than Coke
