Don't be. Honestly you really have nothing to fear. You aren't going to go to hell for being a brony, or supporting gay marriage. That's just the conservative church getting butthurt over change. As for people getting beaten up and such, I would say that the only place you would have to fear of being beaten over being a brony is if you walked straight into some gang's hideout in LA screaming "love and tolerate!"

Most people elsewhere, the worst they can do is say stupid things, which you shouldn't worry about anyway.

On top of that, we're like... what, in charge of half the internet now? :P. Pretty soon bronyism is gonna take over the world, so you might as well be on the winning team :P

Lol how long do you think until bronyism becomes it's own religion? Enough people love the show. Then we could shove it in that church's face

All it takes is one person with an idea and the will to carry it out. I wouldn't necessarily say that bronyism could become a religion, who would we worship? Celestia? A character that we know is 100% fiction? I don't think it'd work. I'd almost say it'd evolve into a political-esque group, as opposed to a religion.

Is this church Westboro Baptist Church? Because those guys are lunatics. And the owner? His family is the most hated in America.

I wouldn't be scared, to be honest. I'd call the church and tell them to leave me alone.

'Thou shalt not annoy the living shit out of me' XD

If they continue, is there a law saying you can't report churches for harassment? Or are they off the hook because they're private organizations?

I actually stopped going to church because I think Catholicism is very strict.

They say that "Masturbation" Will get you a place in Hell if you don't confess in confession to cleanse your sins.

Honestly that confuses most Catholic teens, But thats a little off topic.

I honestly think that is an outrage no matter what religion you are in. I mostly agree with @@Bohtty.

Ya, well, it was Catholicism is way to strict. That is why I am Christian mixed in with Lutheran. I honestly have no believes other than that Jesus died for your sins and God excepts everyone, since he created you. It is like hating your own son or daughter, it is your own flesh and blood, honor him or her with your life.

I'm not religious and I don't think there is anything wrong with believing in a religion, but like everything else. Too much of anything is never good. That church went over board. Edited by Bohtty

Wait, your not religious (don't follow out the rules of the church) or don't have a religion. It is kinda confusing. But, ya, too much of something isn't good, unless your talking about MLP: FiM

Oh, ok. So, are you atheist, or neutral. It really doesn't matter which you are.

Probably Atheist, but it's more of a "I just don't really care" type of attitude. When we die, I believe that we will decompose and be reused in the natural cycle. It happens to everything around us, why would we be the exception. Just my thoughts anyways. Don't want this to turn into a religious argument... I think we have a thread for that. lol

Lol, I don't want to get into an argument on the forums. I saw the warning points area, don't want to have that happen to me. So, I'm happy that this didn't break into a 'Convert to athiest conversation'. I've seen some very very very very very very very very very mean people who hate Christians and think stuff that will get me banned from the forums.

So that leads me to now I'm kinda scared to be a brony an a supporter of stuff. I'm not scared easily but it got worse then that so my thing to you is have you ever been scared to be a brony this also relates to school kids that said they where bronys got beat the hell up an teachers well we all know how that goes....

But getting back to the point are you scared or does this show that the brony community is growing an ppl should be happy over being scared?

It is my opinion that you do not need to be afraid for now. The church doesn't have the power to do anything beyond saying: "tsk tsk tsk" and then waggle their index finger. You only need to be afraid if they go beyond simply sending you a passive aggressive letter asking you to go to a cleansing ceremony. But I doubt they will beyond that, it's not the middle ages/early renaissance anymore (you know, when the Church had way too much power).

And no I am not scared about the possible consequences of being a Brony. It's my personal belief that history will remember us all as a group that dared to challenge the bullshit "standards" of what we are and are not supposed to enjoy in our spare time. And we will be remembered in a positive light. The closed minded and the haters however... they will be looked down upon. Kind of like how extreme racism is generally looked down upon.

just because you support homosexualality dosent mean yer gay. It is wrong to not support it tho. Love is love. Who gives you the right to judge it? Gender dosent matter. Because love has no boundaries.

Alright. Who are you to judge my opinion on homosexuality as "wrong." I love and accept homosexuals as fellow human beings, however I don't entirely approve of homosexuality. I believe in partnerships with equal rights, but that "marriage" is a spiritual and religious bond that can only take place between a male and a female.

I love how you think throwing a corny quote like "love has no boundaries" into your argument makes you righteous and true. I'm always hit with that one when arguing my point across at times like this, however my efforts are usually futile as I am consistently judged as being a "hater" for not approving of homosexuality. I pay everyone equal respect in life regardless of their sexuality, but if people can't respect my beliefs, than why should I respect them?

Ohhh religion. So many things you try to ruin. If it was me, I would tell them to go buck themselves and I can live my life however I want to.

Church people make me so mad sometimes. this is horrible. Those people do not have the right to serve god.

*Sigh* sorry, I'm getting too worked up over this, but seriously, how stupid can they be?

Don't be afraid man, church people are mostly there because they lost all other pourpose in life. They can't do a damned thing.

This was copied and pasted from what a mod from my other forum sent me (the same forum that was the source of the troll raid yesterday, he's currently looking into it), he isn't a brony, but he has brony friends, and so he just thought this up for this specific thread.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

As a minister, I would say I am appalled by an attempt my a church to go after a person in that way. There is no reason for it. Unfortunately the Bible has been used to fit an agenda for centuries, and the words of God, have been lessened for that. The Bible is a book of righteous instructions that also serves as a history book, which Archeology helps back up. We are shown mistakes by many. From Israel, to David, Solomon, and it keeps going. The interesting thing is from Genesis to Revelation is there is this repeating pattern. Most of which isn't even looked at by the church.

Looking at the seven feasts

1) Passover (Leviticus 23:5) – Pointed to the Messiah as our Passover lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7) whose blood would be shed for our sins. Jesus was crucified on the day of preparation for the Passover at the same hour that the lambs were being slaughtered for the Passover meal that evening.

2) Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:6) – Pointed to the Messiah's sinless life (as leaven is a picture of sin in the Bible), making Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus' body was in the grave during the first days of this feast, like a kernel of wheat planted and waiting to burst forth as the bread of life.

3) First Fruits (Leviticus 23:10) – Pointed to the Messiah's resurrection as the first fruits of the righteous. Jesus was resurrected on this very day, which is one of the reasons that Paul refers to him in 1 Corinthians 15:20 as the "first fruits from the dead."

4) Weeks or Pentecost (Leviticus 23:16) – Occurred fifty days after the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and pointed to the great harvest of souls and the gift of the Holy Spirit for both Jew and Gentile, who would be brought into the kingdom of God during the Church Age (see Acts 2). The Church was actually established on this day when God poured out His Holy Spirit and 3,000 Jews responded to Peter's great sermon and his first proclamation of the gospel.

5) Trumpets (Leviticus 23:24) – The first of the fall feasts. Many believe this day points to the Rapture of the Church when the Messiah Jesus will appear in the heavens as He comes for His bride, the Church. The Rapture is always associated in Scripture with the blowing of a loud trumpet (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:52).

6) Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:27) – Many believe this prophetically points to the day of the Second Coming of Jesus when He will return to earth. That will be the Day of Atonement for the Jewish remnant when they "look upon Him whom they have pierced," repent of their sins, and receive Him as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10 and Romans 11:1-6, 25-36).

7) Tabernacles or Booths (Leviticus 23:34) – Many scholars believe that this feast day points to the Lord's promise that He will once again “tabernacle” with His people when He returns to reign over all the world (Micah 4:1-7).

All of these ignored by Christians. How can you understand the Bible if you ignore parts of it.

As far as homosexuality. The bible says it is a sin. But the bible also says all have sinned. Many who grow up in the church tend to forget that. But, as someone who grew up Atheist, I tend not to forget that. Also, the Bible talks about loving your enemies, meaning nobody should be an enemy. And those that Christians are supposed to rebuke the sins are to those already in the church. You can never change someone who doesn't believe what you believe.

Finally, if you are a Christian. Live it. Don't tell people what to believe if you are not willing to live it out yourself.
