It would depend a TON on what knowledge you get, what kind of day it is, and what you could return with. Thing is you run the risk of being there on an important day and having to do your role to save equestria.... That would be a bad thing if you happened to choose twilight sparkle but did NOT gain her knowledge of magic when taking on the role. It would be very sad if you were in equestria for a day and were the reason it failed to be saved. All that talent but not knowing how to use it properly could really cause issues. The other important question would be "what you could return with?" IE you arrive as twilight sparkle -- if you get the knowledge and forget it when you come back to earth it is less good than if you say don't get the knowledge but retain what you learn. IE if you figured out how to cast certain spells, you MIGHT be able to replicate them on earth -- or at least get enough of a fetch on how it works to be able to do something here (despite the low ambient magic here). Lastly you have your duties and how the other characters see you. IE if you choose something like rainbow dash you are a lot less likely to be found out than if you choose twilight sparkle. Plus you could be a lot more forward as a rainbow dash than you could be as say a fluttershy. Then again if you can pull off a pinkie pie you could ask and get away with anything.

 

So as for me, *IF* I could have the potential of bringing back knowledge and knew it wasnt going to be a day where I would be called to task, I would go twilight sparkle and probably spend most of the day in the library with spike trying to learn and execute what I could in the hopes of advancing my magical abilities in real life. In any other circumstance I would probably have fun as a rainbow dash for the day.

 

One final note for people saying pinkie pie -- she knows EVERYTHING about EVERYONE in ponyville -- if you dont get that knowledge and also dont have the right personality it would be really hard to pull off.

Twilight Sparkle. She studies every day, has a knack for organization, and knows her priorities. For a guy still in school, I'm hoping I could somehow pick up these skills along the way, practice, and use them to my advantage when I head off to do whatever.

I've always wanted to fly. And she of course is the best flier in Equestria!

I may not know how to fly myself, but since I have wings, I can try. I am good at being self-taught. I learn fast enough for myself to go for a day.

 

Since RD is good friends with the mane six, I'll be seeing them. I fan make a decent RD impression, too.

 

With being her, I can fly to Cloudsdale and Canterlot. I wouldn't bother doing so with the others. Fluttershy is too weak of a flier, and Twilight can't teleport long distances. I'm not gonna get too far if I walk, either?

 

 

Also, I doubt anyone would want to be Pinkie4aDay cause nobody can be as party animal as her.

Breaking the fourth wall? Breaking logic? Pulling out party cannons?

Doubt you know how to do those. I'd just leave that to the normal Pinkie Pie.
