Ok, so I bet you're all looking at this topic thinking 'ohai, look who decided to steal C.Discord's idea'. Well actually, he inspired me to write it, and gave me permission to it as well.

Part 1: Origins

 

Once upon a time, there was nothing. Literally nothing at all. Just a large void. However, a spark on energy was formed and this spark started producing it's own energy, eventually creating it's own renewable energy source. Over a long period of time, this ever-expanding energy spark began to multiply, each being able to use each other's energy to create another source of energy, which also began to multiply, and turn into a new source of energy. Every time a new source of energy was created, it would keep multiplying, and soon, there was billions of ever-multiplying energy sources, most of which were made out of each other, because the energy sources began merging together, to create more complex energy sources. Soon, all of the energy sources had been mixed together in one way or another, and eventually formed physical objects. Everything mixed together, and soon, a land was created, and eventually, the first life form was created.

 

Part 2: The First Civilisation

 

Now, this first life form was very similar to a pony, except it had different features, like different body structure etc. At first, there was only a man and a woman. They didn't know what they were doing, and were incredibly confused. They experimented with each other, trying to figure out their existence, and eventually, they discovered reproduction. They began populating the land, and their offspring had children and so on and so forth. They began to build a civilisation, and created technology that was able to give people wings, or magical abilities. Everything was going well, until eventually, there was a dispute as to which species would lead the civilisation, and eventually, a large war began, and this war killed off most of the civilisation, leaving only a few alive.

 

Part 3: Equestrian Beginnings

 

(Now this is where it get's interesting).

 

Only 6 people were left after the war, one with wings, one with magic, and one with no abilities at all. There were both male and females left, so these 6 came to an agreement. The world needed to be repopulated, so they began to create more offspring, in an attempt to give life back to the land.

 

Eventually, there were more people than there were before, so everyone decided to branch out to create civilisation across the lands. Everyone created various thriving civilisations, but there was one that wasn't going so well, called Equestria, made up of an animal kingdom called 'ponies'. The ponies were created after various breeding situations, along with various other species, which had formed new civilisations across the land. There was dispute between the ponies, which lead to the events of Hearth's Warming Eve. The ponies had created a thriving community, which began to become the best civilisation in terms of democracy.

 

Part 4: Discord (I'm howling at the moon, and sleeping in the middle of a summer afternoon)

 

Even though Equestria was a thriving community, they still had fights with other communities. The biggest being who would own the North of the land, as this was a border between two communities, the Crystal Kingdom and Equestria. They had a dispute, much bigger than the one in Hearth's Warming Eve. The loss of harmony began to fuel discord between the two lands. Eventually, the discord of the two lands created a physical being, coincidentally being named Discord. He began to rule over the two lands for thousands of years, making the people of Equestria and the Crystal Kingdom his slaves.

 

Discord then had the idea to create two beings to aid him in his rule, they were both based upon the 3 species of the ponies, except they had all of their features mixed together. He used his chaos to create them. Because Discord was an eternal being, he wanted them too to be eternal, which led to the creation of 2 sisters, Celestia and Luna. However, they both saw the pain that the ponies were going through, and decided to stand up against Discord to try and bring back harmony to the land.

 

They fought for many years, their fury destroying a large portion of the land (which became known as 'Badlands' by Equestrians). But soon, the Celestia and Luna saw that fighting wasn't the way. They saw the destruction of that area, so they used the power of harmony, by encouraging the ponies to work together to create a weapon made up of 6 elements of harmony (not the physical elements, these are the mental factors that make harmony). The weapon worked and imprisoned Discord in a stone statue (known as Ruins on the map), but the weapon was so overpowered, that is smashed into 6 separate pieces. These became known as the Elements of Harmony.

 

Part 5: Nightmare Moon

 

After Discord had been imprisoned, the two beings were declared rulers of Equestria. They came to an agreement with the Crystal Kingdom that they would own all land up to the Crystal Mountains, and that after that, was territory of the Crystal Kingdom.

 

Celestia and Luna decided to call themselves sisters, as they were pretty close, and were essentially created by the same person. They decided to contribute to Equestria by having one raise the sun, and one the moon. Celestia chose the sun, and Luna chose the moon, which earned them their Cutie Marks.

 

They built themselves a castle on the tallest mountain, and eventually created a city called Canterlot, which was built alongside the mountain.

 

Equestria remained quite a peaceful place, until Luna realised that by raising the moon, it bought night to Equestria, which led to everyone going to sleep, causing Luna to become very lonely at night. Jealousy fueled Luna, and she refused to raise the moon, causing her to become corrupt, eventually turning her into her own version of Discord, where she became known as Nightmare Moon. Celestia saw this as a threat to the civilisation, so she attempted to try and turn Luna back to normal, but by now, Luna was so fules with chaos, that she had forgotten who she really was, so she fought Celestia, and a huge battle ensued, causing destruction to various areas of the land, as well as forming gorges, such as the Galloping Gorge and Ghastly Gorge, and forming mountains, like the Unicorn Range, Foal Mountains, and the formation of Neighagra Falls. Eventually, Celestia resorted to using the Elements of Harmony to imprison Luna on the moon.

 

Epilogue

 

Celestia became pressured to have to raise both the sun and the moon, so that Equestria could continue to thrive, so in order to help her reign, she chose close friends Cadence and Blueblood to help her reign over Equestria.

 

Many species moved into Equestria, such as the dragons, who took home in the land that Discord had destroyed, and named it Badlands.

 

The Equestrians built many more cities across the land. They built a train network to help get around easier, because Equestria was such a large territory, that it was almost impossible to get around. They also ventured further across the mountains that were formed after Nightmare Moon's fight with Celestia, and built large cities, with tall buildings that reached into the clouds. They also discovered the sea, so many ponies decided to venture further out of Equestria to other lands, as well as welcoming other travelers into Equestria.

And that's how Equestria was made!
