Just got yet another one. Electric Ladyland by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. 2010 reissue. 180g vinyl. Double album.

Here's what it looks like: http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=2174598

Front and back of the cover are fine, except one of the corners is just a bit banged up. Gatefold has a small tear where the spine is located. The clear plastic inner sleeves are fine, as well as both of the records (and as all of the records I've received up to this point, it sound great).

It also comes with a big 8-page booklet. It's got some cool photos and liner notes (which I have yet to read). No issues with the condition of it.

I love them! For all the same reasons Viscra Maelstrom mentioned in the post on Page 1. One thing in addition to that I will mention: the task of listening to music on vinyl is more intimate. You're actually holding a large disc in your hands and placing it on a turntable; etc. making you cherish your possession. Compare that with just clicking "play" on Youtube, Bandcamp, etc. not very exciting, is it?

Why are you reading this? Go expand your vinyl collection! And if you're a musician, consider creating vinyl copies of your work for our listening benefit.

How awesome are "After The Flood" and "New Grass"? Seriously.

Got one more now. In Rainbows by Radiohead. Here's what it looks like: http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=1187003

The cover is fine except a corner has some slight wear. Unfortunately, three sides of the inner sleeve have a tear each. No problems whatsoever with the record itself though. Plays fine. Sounds great. :)

Sorry if I'm annoying anyone with these constant updates. This hobby is just so much fun.

Personally I don't have a vinyl record player and no records either. But I've seen that they have become popular. I think it's pretty awesome since it is bringing back a classic technology. I would consider getting one but mostly because it would give this classic feeling to the house.

I used to collect vinyl. But they had the tendency of taking over my room and it got frustrating. Plus I'd wind up getting a lot that were unplayable.

Vinyl records are cool, but I don't like having that many things. MP3 is more than adequate for me. Besides, vinyl records don't even compare to hearing an artist live in person.

My dad has a record player, and my parents combined have plenty of records from the 60s/70s. I've only ever really listened to a The Beatles record on it, though, and didn't really think much of it. It's just scratchy, and annoying to use. I'll take my digitally remastered recordings any day.

My father still has a old record player, as well as vinyl records from the 70's through the late 80's, :D

I love vinyl records, I have been collecting for about 5 years now and have been to all the top events in my country. :D

I mostly collect 60's records and have all of the original studio albums from bands like The Beatles, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

I also collect rare records which have cost me a few thousand throughout the years, These include bands like Blossom Toes, Skip Bifferty, Velvet Opera just to name a few.

Here's some pictures of my prized 1st pressing Skip Bifferty record and the 1st solid blue triangle pressing of Dark Side of The Moon.

I wish. Even if I did have money to spend, there are no record stores around me. :c

I prefer a music format that isn't overpriced and obsolete...but I'm weird like that. :P

There's a few record stores here, At one point in time I was making money working at various record events around the county, Which led to me being offered jobs at some of the stores but I can't drive so I missed out on a dream, Working in a record store. Dx

Are you in England? I've got extra copies of records I don't mind sharing, Including an original Axis: Bold as love and various Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd LPs.
