SoundFlux 13 March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 currently i'm on bording school so normally you'd assume that i'd be quiet with it, couse if somepony knows something at a bording school... everypony knows! but actually i dont care what people think about me i mean it's me who's having a great time doing what I! want and not trying to fit in to be smart. im ofc not going around showing it off to everbody i see, but if people ask me anything i wouldn't mind telling them though they probly wouldn't understand it. brony and proud! Raiyny Day 71 March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 I'm pretty open about it, I wear Pony T-Shirts in public, but I try not to talk about ponies that often ^__^ -Insert some funny line or quote here-
Discolt 53 March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 (edited) I'm not going to obsess over it, but if someone asks if I like the show, I will not deny it. I had to take a lot of bullshit when I was in middle school and I used to watch/draw the Powerpuff Girls all the time. This is nothing new, and I refuse to not support something I like. If they ask me, i will admit it with pride. And if they want to talk about it, I will. I just won't shove it down their throats, because that just makes all bronies look bad. Cloud-Chaser 49 March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 I seem to be pretty open with it. Answering some questions on test or assignments at school with MLP Jokes or references with some of the characters. I don't wear clothing but I would if I owned some. I have a brony friend and a girlfriend. Iamallset DƎЯPY

Jadefire 2,797 March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 I don't gab on an on about being a brony to my friends, but I don't make any attempt to hide it either. I understand that other people have their own opinions about things. But if they don't like it, well, the can just #dealwithit. My family on the other hand, I'm allergic to awkward situations, so I don't think it'll be worth it if they find out that I'm obsessed with what they think is a little girl's cartoon show. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png Ponysona bio, here. Mikael 46 March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 Well.. I have told it to some of my best friends, not my parents yet, but are going to tell them and if any classm8 are talking about it I will say it, but atm I have only told it to 3 friends that I trust very much. ( And two of them are bronies)
Daring Do 195 March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 Well, I don't exactly flaunt it off, but at any given day, if I have my brony shirt washed I will wear it to school, in public, and just about anywhere else. I always carry my Pony Sketch Book by hand as well, so I guess if people manage to see the title of the book they would also know. Otherwise it would be mostly a Don't ask don't tell situation. Great adventuring for great treasures!....Except when I'm hurt...
Cosmic Charlie 129 March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 As far as my friends know, there is no pony in my life, just like the last 20-odd years. Only my brother and a female friend know, though my mom was a bit confused by my little Fluttershy. Strafe 594 March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 I have it listed on my facebook page as one of my favorite shows, that's about it. If someone brings it up then I'll talk about it but I'm not going to go around rubbing my love ponies in everyone's faces not because I'm embarassed but because it's annoying. "The Gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again." Iris Melody 90 March 3, 2012 Share March 3, 2012 I have the luck of being female and an adult that physically appears 12. I am most certainly open about it, and I try to spread it to as many people as I can. I have converted several male and female friends into bronies > For those who know me, I have also always had the reputation of liking cute things and 'being cute' (people always think of me when they see Hello Kitty items) so it's not a shocker. If I were an older male, I'm not sure what I'd do. I would like to think I'd still be open and proud. I have always believed that males should not be ridiculed when they like "girly" things since, to an extent, in my society girls are not ridiculed as badly for liking "manly" things. I have several closet brony friends, and I can understand that they don't want to deal with the unnecessary BS. I am very proud of all open male bronies! and proud of male bronies, even if they hide it, because they could put their "manliness" aside to enjoy something wonderful Pinkie Pie is my favoritest of the mane six for several reasons, but most importantly because she always has a good attitude. The others can doubt her, say somewhat unkind things, not believe her, and she just rolls with it. I also love her because her self-defined purpose in life is to make others happy. I believe her balloons cutie mark actually represents her uplifting others. Her amazing dimension bending and psychic powers are a factor, too When poor Pinkie Pie looses her mind, well, it is quite humorous. She has her own depression demons to fight, yet focuses on others. The world will be a better place when she succeeds in breaking that 4th wall! >
Fox 5,330 March 3, 2012 Share March 3, 2012 I haven't told anyone except for one friend, and I make inside pony jokes out loud. I'm trying to decide what MLP shirt I want to buy too. (so i can show my loyalty to the show)
MrMeep 264 March 3, 2012 Share March 3, 2012 I treat it as any other hobby, I indulge in it and if anyone asks about it then I'll answer questions confidently I'm open about it. I was open about Furries and ended up on UK Television talking about it. This is generally my attitude regarding my like of MLP:FiM....

TOMahwk 351 March 3, 2012 Share March 3, 2012 I haven't specifically told anyone yet, but seeing as how I have a MLP FiM live wallpaper on my phone, my computer desktop background is Derpy, my steam account has a pony, my PSN account says "GO BRONIES" as a comment, I did an economics project on MLP FiM, I randomly quote the mane 6... I think people may possibly have gotten the hint. LunaShy 168 March 3, 2012 Share March 3, 2012 I was just curious how open other bronies are about their brony-ness. Do you walk around proudly displaying it or is it on a strictly need-to-know basis? Personally I'm completely open about it. I'm wearing a Princess Luna shirt from WeLoveFine right now (it was a gift from my little sister. She's so sweet. ). I don't randomly bring it up or try to shove the show down other people's throats or anything, but I'm not afraid to say I like it if it comes up or someone asks. How about you all? Well i was a little shy about it for starters but im all out brony now and am saving to get a large leg tattoo featuring all my fav ponys come play some xbox

RagingTwilight 101 March 3, 2012 Share March 3, 2012 I still haven't told anyone, except for my girlfriend. And a couple of her close friends know, too. Honestly, I don't think I will ever tell many people. There are several things even my parents don't know about me (namely views on various social issues and stuff like that.) If i ever run into a Brony in real life, I'll be happy to say hey but else I'll just keep to myself.

Colon Leftbracket 971 March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 I haven't really told anyone about it aside from the few friends who read my blog. I plan to buy a Brony shirt and wear it without any warning, but also not paying too much attention to it. I figure being my school's only (as far as I know) Brony I better handle it safely. Just wear the shirt and act like its a completely normal thing (which it is). Who knows perhaps I'll meet some real life "closet" Bronies! ...or get ridiculed for a day for being the guy with the pony shirt. My Sweet Celestia... this was from November 13th. My first few weeks of being a Brony. This was probably one of my first posts here... its been such a long time... how things have changed... One big change is that more of my friends know. They just kinda shrugged their shoulders and moved on... all that worrying for nothing! I actually did wear two different Brony shirts around school. I really didn't get a response other than an "Awesome" from a friend of mine who likes ponies (though sadly I'm still unsure if she ever got to watch the real show) But the BIGGEST change from this is that I DO in fact have a Brony friend at my school now! He goes to these forums and its awesome! [New siggy in progress!]
Apple Bloom 2,933 March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 My Sweet Celestia... this was from November 13th. My first few weeks of being a Brony. Here's my first post. In the beginning I was very secretive about it. I would watch it at night while wearing headphones, constantly making sure no one came in the room but as time went on I became more and more open about it. I started watching it whenever I felt like with the volume turned up. The first person to find out was my cousin. He noticed some of my pony drawings and so I finally just told him about the brony phenomenon and how I'm one of them. I showed him the first two episodes (which he wasn't particularly interested in) and started watching pmv's and such when he was around. Some time after that, I bought a blind bag Rarity on eBay. My grandmother wanted to see what it was when it came in so I showed her and just told her it was a figure from one of the shows I watch. I don't think she knows what it is because she didn't say anything else. Later on my aunt saw it and said she likes it so that gave me the confidence to buy more. Now I have all but Fluttershy. Anyway, now I've got pony toys on my desk and I watch the show whenever I like so I'd say I'm pretty open about it. That was posted just after everyone started finding out. Now everyone who knows me knows I'm a brony and I almost always have something pony related on me, whether it be a t-shirt or my Rainbow Dash keychain. I have also since become a collector and not only do I have all the blind bags available in the US, (except one which I haven't found yet) but I also have tons of $5 brushables and 4 out of 6 fashion style ponies. They're all over my room so anyone who comes in can't help but notice. Signature by @Nico. Come join us for movies and more! Mare in the Moon 173 March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 (edited) I am extremely open about Ponies. All of my friends and all of the family I have recently talked to know about it. Some random people at a party heard me talking about it a LOT too (I babble on and on when I am drunk XD). I don't care what anyone around here thinks anyway (unless they like it too, then we can be friends ) and I am going into the Army soon, so I am never gonna communicate with any of my Non-Friends/Family anyway. DrOphthalmos 497 March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 Unfortunately, I have a job that carries a certain image that older people expect and I rely on those older people. So, I cannot be open about a lot of my interests. Of course, when I travel to Manehattan or Fillydelphia, all bets are off.
