Well, who's your favorite Disney princess, anyways?

Uh, Mulan counts as a Disney princess, right? Because she's my favorite Disney princess... after her it would be Esmeralda (please tell me she counts too), and then Tiana.

Ariel. She's got it all. She is the daughter of a God and... A ginger. Red hair on a mermaid is in these days. Haut. :3 The only drawback is that she has no legs...

I think we can do something about that, that... one insignificant little detail. >:] (I haven't watched Mermaid on a long time, don't exactly remember what happens, I think I remember her having legs and no voice or something.)

I may change my mind later, but I really can't choose. None of them really appeal to me that well. Though, I guess being called Disney princess would explain that.

Rapunzel... She's the best looking Disney princess...

Err... Her personality matched with the way she took out her "mother" just makes her the best. Plus she has one of my all time favorite Disney songs. "I See the Light."

I've never even watched a Disney princess movie, but I'll just go by aesthetics here and say Belle. Everyone would be, "lets go watch Beauty & The Beast." Nah, just not my thing.

Mulan, Esmeralda, and Rapunzel aren't considered Disney princesses. However, Mulan is a kickass character. ;)

For me, it'll probably be Ariel. She was definitely the most strongest out of all the princesses and also the most courageous.

Belle, definitely. She has a great character, and she is bookworm which is something I am as well. Her design is beautiful, and I love her voice. Belle will probably always be my favorite Disney princess.

However, my second choice would be Pocahontas. She's pretty unique, and I like her connection with nature. Plus, I love her singing.

Personally, my absolute favorite would be...her.

Rapunzel

She was absolutely adorable to me and plus, she has a rather nice singing voice. She's easily my favorite.

Rapunzel hooves down. She is cute, sweet, adoriable, cute, adventurous, cute, strong, cute, silly, cute...

Did I say cute?

I also like Jane from Tarzan for the cuteness as well ^_^   Belle is awesome as she is pretty tough willed. Same with Mulan.

I <3 tough women.

This is such a hard decision ._.

Ariel is pretty awesome and a great singer. I overall love her personality

Snow White is really cool also. She is pretty and I love her connection with animals.

Rapunzal is amazing. She's pretty, brave, adorable, and has an amazing singing voice.

These three are my favorites.

Without a doubt for me is Mulan.

Mulan-mulan-24417088-500-375.jpg

Out of all the princess, she has done so much compared to them in terms of doing something rather than being swept away by their handsome prince.

That, and saving your country and folks from an evil Hungarian empire deserves all the credit she earns.

Hrm, tough choice, but it's between Belle and Tiana. They take on tradition in a calmer way than the more action-oriented princesses (Mulan and Merida). They WORK for their dreams, they don't just charge ahead blindly, and I think that's why I like them more.

Meg from Hercules is my favorite Disney GIRL but I don't think she's a princess.... :(

Ariel and Jasmine are my favorites I guess.

Ariel is the most like me. Jasmine is pretty and I liked Aladdin.

I used to be obsessed with Cinderella when I was little.

but....MEG <3 :/

I usually think that a Disney princess is a female lead in a Disney animated film. OFC you can nitpick and say that half of the list aren't princesses, but who actually cares?

Hmm, Merida isn't on the list? Isn't she a Disney Princess? And I think she has quite a fan base too...

But yeah, I picked Ariel, Belle, Esmeralda and Rapunzel, in this order.

Ariel is because she's a mermaid, she has red hair (I love red hair, I'd dye my hair red if I could, but right now I have a rash that scares me a little and my mom really doesn't approve it, and I want to respect her opinion) and because she has a strong will. And, ofc, her curiosity and singing talent are a plus (all princesses have singing talent, but Ariel is the only one who is especially mentioned to have a beautiful singing voice). Her will for adventure is a plus too.

Belle I like because she's a classic beauty and book smart, she respects her father and has good fundamentals. Regardless how people "analyze" Beauty and the Beast, the message in the end is that beauty is within and not on the outside, which Gaston relied on (but I still liked Gaston >w< I just love his character and how they make fun of the jock stereotype).

Esmeralda is because she is different, is okay with it, embraces it and fights for it. The fact that she fights for being a gypsy is somehow respectable, especially when you think that during that time women standing up was very rare. Oh, and I like her playful character that likes to push limits.

Rapunzel I like because she is curious and artistic. And lives her head in the clouds, so to speak. She has a certain similarity with Ariel, except Rapunzel is way more straight forward with her actions and has a much greater trust in people (or it's shown more than in Ariel's case. But then again, Ariel was taught all her life that humans are dangerous, which might have affected it).

... Oops, I started to babble. Sorry~

It seems like, over the course of Disney releasing films, the definition got changed so that Disney princesses are just the term used for any female protagonist - so I guess I'm allowed to opt for Jane (Tarzan) as my favourite. I adore her - she's curious and talkative, playful and intelligent, with the best intentions of the group for Tarzan. I loved the sequence where she and the Professor teach Tarzan the ways of humans, and Tarzan correspondingly showing Jane the fascinating features of the jungle. I love how she attempted to communicate with the baby baboon using that stern ladylike voice of authority (to no avail - hilarious stuff!). Tarzan itself was a brilliant film, and it's gotta be owed partly to Jane, right?

Oh, and she's the prettiest! ;)

Well, growing up I loved Belle. She was brave and a bookworm, like me. Then as I got older I started to appreciate Mulan more. The movie was darker and it has such a strong message. Now I freaking love Rapunzel. I could watch Tangled over and over and over and... well, you get the point. There is just something about it that makes me smile.

I have a soft spot for alot of them, though I mostly prefer the ones who actually do something other than wait for their handsome prince in shining armor to come to the rescue. Out of those princesses, Mulan stands out the most with Belle, Tiana, and Esmeralda being a tie for a VERY close second place.

AND THEY CONFIRMED IT AT THE END TOO! HA!

I also have a thing for the tough-as-nails girls like Merida, Mulan, Rapunzel and Princess Leia

I'll always vote for Mulan in threads like this, even if she's not technically a Disney princess. She's their best female protagonist to date, I believe, aside from Belle who is... just a brilliant character. Rapunzel is also a brilliant character, who has more girlish charm and appeal than the other two. Belle, who's classically beautiful and reminds you of your mum, Rapunzel who's adorable and speaks to the kids whose mums won't let them go outside (JK, her story's about finding herself), and Mulan who just kicks serious arse.

So I voted for Mulan, Belle, and Rapunzel.

But I probably have the most in common with Jasmine. :3
