Here'sUrAmmoMan! 12 October 22, 2012 Share October 22, 2012 I was walking around in Hot Topic (A few days after mom knew I was a Brony, had to explain stuff blah, blah, blah) an there was the Brony section. I looked for a Dr.Hooves shirt ,or a Pinkie Pie shirt, and found TONS. But guess what? Here where the sizes: Small, small, small, small, small XXL, XXXL XL, XL,XXL, XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XXXL,XL,XL.............. Are they assuming that Bronies are fat? I am a medium, and I am 5'9 13 year old... My Mother had to shrink it so much, but I even had to pull it back to make me look like I'm not wearing a rag..... Why-Gnome-Ear-Fifty 400 October 22, 2012 Share October 22, 2012 It's Hot Topic, and you're in the USA. It's not like anything they ever do will be politically correct. If they want to assume bronies are fat then let them do that, whatever....
FoxyCryptid 4,330 October 22, 2012 Share October 22, 2012 (edited) XL isn't actually that big, especially if you like your clothes baggy. I'm 5ft 4in, 200 lbs and it's what I wear. Granted I could fit into a large and I'm not exactly skinny, but still. I guess "short stubby Irishmen" genes will do that. Chevette 1,052 October 22, 2012 Share October 22, 2012 Not to be offensive to the original topic or anything of the sort, but the first thing that came to my mind after reading this post was maybe they stock the shirts in all sizes but they only had a mass supply of the smalls and extra larges because the medium and large sizes are probably their primary sellers out of all the shirt sizes. I doubt they are sending some type of message that all bronies are obese or anorexic, I just personally think the medium and large shirt sizes were missing because those are their top sellers because usually the average sizes are large and medium. Some cases my state otherwise but this is just my opinion on the matter, but it's really just one six half dosen of the other when it comes down to it. I just based this information on what I usually find when buying shoes, shirts, jeans, etc. etc. usually the more in-between sizes are the ones which seem to sell faster. 6 Chevette x Chevelle ~ OTP "Happiness is a quarter of a million Chevettes"
Commander Urdnot 2,680 October 22, 2012 Share October 22, 2012 (edited) Maybe they just sold out of the small, medium, and large t-shirts? I don't think they're trying to insult anybody. Why would they make fun of bronies when they're selling products in an effort to get their money? Mephala 2,635 October 22, 2012 Share October 22, 2012 Not everyone is a XL. They probably ran out of the medium and larges because that's what the majority of people are. I for one buy XL or XXL despite the fact that I'm usually a small, because I love huge clothes

This right here is what I found to be the case.. When i went to buy my Derpy is best pony t shirt, i got the last medium shirt because they were selling so well and they almost ran out. The cahier (Noticing that we were buying a bit of brony merchandise) commented aying that Evrything Pony in their store was selling a lot!
Dimitri Hammer 3,645 October 22, 2012 Share October 22, 2012 Dimitri isn't fat....he's built like a bear...STRONG AND MUSCULAR AS ENGELS MIXED WITH ZEUS!! I'm 6"8 and like 245 pounds. Most of it muscle....no fat. If I was fat I'd be ashamed to call myself a mountain man Russian. Living out here in Alaska really makes a man stronger. So sometimes I need to wear XL or L depending on the company that makes the shirt. Created by the fabulous Gone ϟ AirbourneAvatar by me
spaghettinoodles 298 October 22, 2012 Share October 22, 2012 I think it's because the regular sizes run out so fast because so many people take them. I tried to get a Pink Floyd shirt from there several weeks ago and the only sizes left were XS, XL, and XXL. It happens frequently.
MrAwesomeness 59 October 22, 2012 Share October 22, 2012 I buy all my pony shirts at hot topic, and most of the time they dont have the right size. You can order them online and have them ship to the store for only $1 extra in any size. You could just do that. Signature? Naw. Thats too mane stream. Raptor 9 October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 >implying only fat people wear XL -_-; And yeah, it depends on the company too. a L at one company isn't alway the same as a L at another. Plus, its hot topic. having most of the clients going baggy doesn't shock me.
Lightning Fluttershy 1,845 October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 I suppose I should feel insulted. Hold on while I get my Rarity clip. Did that suffice? In all seriousness I'm not that concerned. Yes it is kind of dickish of them but maybe they had had a bunch of sales of the non listed sizes that month. That is also why I prefer to shop online.
~Asuka <3~ 867 October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 Yeah, I think they just sold out. I don't think they were trying to insult their customers. Chales 129 October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 Yeah I find that a lot when I go to Hot topic for pony shirts. Tons of XL and smalls and very little of anything else. Its a good thing then that I'm a small

NekromantiaFox 270 October 24, 2012 Share October 24, 2012 (edited) Sadly, I have to buy an XL no matter what I'm trying to wear. Not because I'm fat, but because my boobs are abnormally large and it sort of suffocates me if there isn't enough room. This isn't weird, I have no secrets (that you know of). Envy 6,529 October 24, 2012 Share October 24, 2012 There were a lot of mediums when I got my Pinkie Pie shirt. Maybe it's just an issue they have on the guys' side. But the lack of mediums probably is just really that they're sold out. Everything needs more woodwind!
Batbrony 16,089 October 24, 2012 Share October 24, 2012 Not really insulted, can't say for sure if any of those sizes would fit me. I'm about 6' 0" and 190 lb.'s, but I haven't been to a Hot Topic in years, so I can't really envision how large, relatively speaking, their XL's on up are. At the very worst, if that really is all that they're stocking their brony sections with, then all I'd say is that it's simply a very poorly thought out business strategy. "You'll hunt me. You'll condemn me, set the dogs on me. Because that's what needs to happen. Because sometimes... cupcakes aren't good enough. Sometimes ponies deserve more. Sometimes ponies deserve to have their faith rewarded... with muffins!!!" -The Muffin Mare
Dautt 77 October 25, 2012 Share October 25, 2012 Why should I be insulted I've never even been inside a hot topic store, now if I only could find a local store that sells brony shirts.
Sugarcube 213 October 25, 2012 Share October 25, 2012 (edited) Mediums usually sell fasdter or maybe they just didnt have as many in stock. I don't think keeping extended sizes around means they think bronies are not in shape or have a little extra weight on them, they carry those sizes in all their shirts. GuillermoGage 246 October 25, 2012 Share October 25, 2012 Pop culture shirts at Hot Topic are for posers anyway. POSERS! I'd just like a regular non-Internet slang MLP:FiM shirt of Rarity that is actually designed and/or approved of by Hasbro.
My little pwny 1,392 October 25, 2012 Share October 25, 2012 My hot topic is even worse. They only carry girl brony shirts! I couldn't find any male ones! A guess what, even the girl shirts were only carried in small or XXL/XXXL sizes. Puddlejumper 1,649 October 25, 2012 Share October 25, 2012 I have a few old Invader Zim shirts from HT in medium, gotta say they are rather tight. Most of their stuff is fitted, unless things have changed since I've not been in one for years, so I'd go a size or two larger unless you prefer the fitted feel. But mediums and larges are usually just sold out since those are the most common sizes, especially in HT I think. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i241/girsmj86/MLP/124343-animatedanimated_gifgifTrixie_zps4aa82173.gif WTB: Luna, Trixie dog tags & AJ blind bag | This fandom needs more Mane-iac! | AJ, Rarity, and Trixie trot into a bar. khaine21x3 789 October 25, 2012 Share October 25, 2012 There are lots of online stores that sells MLP shirts so I don't know what the big deal is, they're probably better than anything sold at traditional stores.
