Dat necklace... Ugh, it even LOOKS Sombra-style parody of Elements of Harmony. If we see Celestia getting her flank kicked... Don't expect Luna The Jelly to help this season. However, I expect Twilight to do the work. Also, the new spell thing is clearly Twilight's cutie mark background thing from the season premiere photoshopped over Twi's actual pose.

Trixie has the ability to use dark magic against twilight in her defeat.

But also the fact that twilight not only gets defeated, but BANISHED from ponyville and is forced to turn the mane 6 into Phillys and then be gone for good, The Necklace is King Sombra's Horn obviously by the looks of it.

What i really hate is the fact that she takes over ponyville and rules with a iron hoof.

 

It's gonna be a interesting episode, i just hope twilight fights back near the end of the episode and has ponyville under her hoof again.

2nd picture, Twilight Sparkle doesn't appear to be using her horn for magic... Strange. Or animation error? They've already made 2 similar ones in The Crystal Empire.

Er, let's not make sudden assumptions. Who knows how the episode will turn out, unless I missed a spoiler, and I doubt a regular episode would relate to a 2 parter.

Hoemahgawd!!! Apple Jack and Rarity have to be the cutest fillies ever! Somebody said that it's actually the remainder of King Sombra's horn in a necklace that is controlling Trixie and making her do bad things.

I do not approve of this, whatsoever. Reusing characters is not something that has been seen before, and with only 13 episodes out this season, I'm almost thinking the writers are just getting lazy. Sigh.

Still, it'll be interesting to see what happens no doubt, I just hope she isn't as annoying as her usual Trixie self this time.

Man I am so happy right now. For so long people have been saying when Trixie comes back, she well be nicer and kinder towards others. Now I can go up to them and say, You were so wrong and Trixie is EVIL.

 

Still I like this idea that Trixie is evil now and doing bad stuff. So can't wait to see how this episode plays out.

I don't think the other ponies will have anything to do with running her out of town, I think how it will go is Trixie will win, then tell Twilight to leave town, and Twilight will agree, believing that she isn't worthy enough to live there and considering herself a disgrace for losing to Trixie. Later, her friends will find out that Trixie used that necklace to help her win, they'll look for Twilight and eventually find her, and Twilight will face Trixie in one last rematch and beat her cleanly.

I cannot wait for this episode. I mean the combination of Trixie taking the town, and the filly mane 6 (If of course all of them will be transformed), this will be a pretty cool episode.

I'm really excited for this episode. Boast Busters was probably one of my favorite episodes, and as far as Antagonists go, Trixie's one of my favorites. That necklace most likely has something to do with her being able to banish Twilight. I'm liking the idea of getting to see the Mane Six as fillies.

 

Also, since Twilight and Trixie have some past rivalry, this will be different than Nightmare Moon and the other antagonists, since they've dealt with her. We know she's able to banish Twilight, which obviously means either that necklace is extemely powerful or she's learned quite a lot-- probably both. For a showpony like Trixie, she sure didn't take being stood up very well.

 

I can't wait to see how Twilight and the others are going to handle Trixie. When I first heard about this episode, I was thinking and hoping maybe they would incorporate the Princesses somehow, but after reading speculation of others I think this is probably another test from the princesses. Especially since Trixie and Twilight have history.

 

All in all, I can't wait for this episode. :3

Someone posted a picture which was relevant to a theroy that that necklace Trixie is wearing is a remant of King Sombra which was scattered at the end of "The Crystal Empire". His power must be the reason Trixie can even come close to match Twilight's magic let alone beat her either way i do beleive it will be a very memorable episode.

 

I'm also glad we will see the filly mane 6 again.

Really expecting different things with this episode to be honest. One thing that i've heard is people saying she's Sombra's lackey/minion which seems doubtful to me since Trixie's personality would suggest her being above accepting help from anypony to defeat a foe. Though that isn't to say I wouldn't put it past her in using an enchanted item to augment her powers.

 

One thing I really haven't been able to grasp is Trixie's "real" emotion towards Twilight. Not sure if it is true "raw hatred" like Sombra had, or if it's just a bit of animosity towards the studious unicorn. Though from the episode's synopsis I guess I can assume she's satisfied with just humiliating Twilight. Originally thought things would a bit more brutal where Trixie wants Twilight absolutely destroyed/removed from Equestria.

 

 

 

At the end of the episode i'm really hoping to see Trixie get a bit more Friendly with Twilight with a third/last chance where they have a rivalry like Garp and Gol D. Roger from One Piece. They are still enemies, but Trixie gains a new found respect for Twilight.

 

Going into Fan Fiction territory here, but I wouldn't mind Princess Luna being in attendance in some form, seeing Trixie's potential. This leads to the princess of the Night taking on her own apprentice.

One thing people seem to fail to think of it that she herself might not be evil, but rather the necklace which allows her to outdo Twilight corrupts her. Not in a posssesion sort of way but rather she finds the necklace which then influences her to strike out for revenge versus the one who "exiled her" and then run a Sombra-esc Fascist regime.

I think there are three ways they could run this episode.

 

1) Trixie as a totalitarian dictator. I am fiercely against this idea not simply because I like Trixie, but also partially on moral grounds. The message of the episode would be awful: It would tell children (and Bronies) that totalitarianism is simply the result of an eeeeeviiiil guy who decides to be evil because he is evil and only wants to be evil because evil is bad and bad is evil. In other words: Hey kids, if you want to find a totalitarian government just look for someone wearing an evil necklace bragging about how evil he is.

 

Yeah, right.

 

2) Some hybrid of Trixie just being ridiculously arrogant and being a jerk. This would be a bit annoying, and I wouldn't like the episode, but not too bad.

 

3) Trixie being depicted like she was in "Boast Busters", a ridiculous, hilariously over-the-top character. Yaaay! This option wouldn't drastically change her character from what it was in her first episode, would be hilarious, and wouldn't end all the mystery about her.

 

Honestly, I'm just a bit afraid that Hasbro decided to bring Trixie back by popular demand even if it meant ruining her character/making her uninteresting. Too many people just want to see her onscreen even if the plotline of the episode is badly conceived.

I don't really like Trixie :S That's why boast busters was one of my least favourite episodes, I found it boring. Half of the Brony population wants her to come back, though. I love Twilight, too. This episode will probably he heartbreaking.

 

The episode as a whole will probably be good, but not Trixie, in my opinion.

We'll have to see what happens.
