Favorite MLP Shipping and Why?

Rarity X Spike, because:

• They're two of my favorite characters on the show (Rarity is Best Pony).
• It's fun when they interact.
• It's an interesting dynamic(element of generosity + impulsively greedy dragon). Sort of reading into this.
• There's been development of the relationship over the course of the show. Not reading into this one.
• Only real ship to occur within Mane 6.

To be honest, I've never been a fan of Spike X Sweetie Belle. There's been absolutley no interaction between them other than that split second photo from the wedding and one line in Sisterhooves Social. The ship only exists because of the whole "if he can't have Rarity, then Spike can just settle for her prepubesent sister", which strikes me as...off.

 

Besides, I always saw Spike as a 15 or 16 year old, while Sweetie Belle is 11 or something.

SoarinDash: I've seen plenty of stories that do these two pretty well, and they grew on me pretty quick. They just look...so, adorable together

SweetieSpike: I dunno why, there's just something about this one that makes me like it more than RariSpike

RariPants: Much like the one above, this one is much more attractive

PinkieDash and FlutterDash: I just started loving these recently, the chemistry between them in the show, plus some real good writing = greatness

Most canon pairings: ShiningCadance, the Cakes, CheeriMac, and yes still RariSpike(I know that I prefer the other two Spike and Rarity ships, but these two are still great together)

Only ones I've ever really read are Flutterdash ones Twishy, and Appledash

 

To be honest I find Flutterdash the one that makes the most sense to me, but then that leaves AJ without anyone I feel makes a good pair to her. So I might take Twishy and Appledash.

 

I read a good twishy fic one time, theres not many of them that I noticed to me honest. And it can be cute if its pulled off and written good.

 

Flutterdash is a bit more cute generally to me then Twishy, but like I said I have a conflict with leaving AJ pairless. And Twilight. (honestly I can't picture Rarity or Pinkie with anyone, except maybe Pinkiedash, but I may just need to read some fics of it first .)

 

I guess as of now mine would be Twishy and Appledash, maybe just Flutterdash.

My OTP is Applejack/Apples. I mean, guys, look at the evidence:

 

 

Even as a filly, they were meant to be. Applejack travels across Equestria for her beloved Apples. That is some serious devotion. And her cutie mark is a picture of them. Her destiny is literally to be with Apples!

 

 

And Apples are just as faithful. They constantly sacrifice themselves for the survival of Applejack! If it weren't for them, she'd be broke and on the streets. Just look at what happened to Applejack and Apples when they temporarily broke up:

The ages can be pretty confusing... Spike was hatched when the mane 6 got their cutie marks, so the CMC should be a similar age to what they were at that time, meaning that if Spike is older than the CMC, then Rarity and Applejack are more than twice the age of their sisters... which seems a bit unlikely, IMO. Therefore, Spike is quite possibly younger than the CMC, despite being obviously more mature and level-headed.

 

As for pairings, I would say Twilestia and Flutterdash, except that Dash is adorable when paired with any of the mane 6, which includes Twilight, therefore invalidating the whole concept of "one true pairing"...

 

Twilestia because Twilight has been obsessed with Celestia for many years, and her deepest fear shown by Sombra's evil door is to be abandoned by Celestia. And Celestia (in my mind) is very lonely, and from what we've seen, trusts and cares for Twilight more than any other pony, and doesn't really have any more age-appropriate options aside from maybe Discord (or Luna). And Twilight was the one to get Luna back for her, so that's gotta count for something. And now Twilight is quite possibly immortal/long lived as well, so no more having to avoid romance due to short lifespans I have a story idea that sort of softens the age difference too... need to write it up before the show can Joss it

 

And Flutterdash because it's just so adorable, and they have a long history together, and understand eachother on a deep level.

Twidash: Lack luster, no room for compromise. Personalities don't mesh well.

 

Appledash: Similar Personalities, stubborn, doomed to clash, the sex would probably be good though (don't kill me)..

 

Pinkiedash: One sided relationship. Dash doesn't return Pinkies feelings, no room for compromise.

 

Raridash: Obvious clashing, personalities don't mesh well, doomed for failure.

Huh... I never thought about shipping any of the characters before. 

 

However, going with how opposites attract, I could see Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash work. Dashie's brashness, boldness and overall extrovertedness could work well with Fluttershy's overall introvertedness and personality. I loved the episodes where it pairs them together, mostly my reasoning onto why Hurricane Fluttershy is my favorite episode of the show.

My favourite MLP ship is probably Flutterdash. It was the first ship I came across, and it was adorable. It's also nice how the two complete each other; even though they are opposites, they still have enough common ground to get along and compliment one another rather than clash. Going with the opposites attract theme, I also like Rarijack (although not as much as Flutterdash; since I don't like those two ponies as much) but not TwiPie for some reason. To be honest I can't really imagine Pinkie Pie getting with anyone in a romantic way.

That'd be Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. Notice how they're already shown spending a load of time together in the show itself? That's because they're so damn cute together, they get along so much better than any two other ponies. You can tell that Dash means a lot to Pinkie, how she went to spend time with her herself instead of her clone in Too Many Pinkie Pies, and that reunion in Wonderbolt Academy. They had a ball in Griffon The Brush Off, and are just generally the best couple. n.n

I would ship Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.  They're such adorable opposites.  I think the idea of Rainbow liking Fluttershy is very cute.

 

Second place would be Twilight and Pinkie.  I can relate to being like Twilight and liking someone like Pinkie.

I would say Rainbow Dash and Soarin' to start at first. I have several different shippings that I could choose. But I'll just go with FlutterDash, because they seem they could go together. In Games Ponies Play, they seemed to connect together, especially in that hoof-bumping scene.

I personally like FlutterMac and PinkiePierce. My favorite pairing would definitely have to be Rarity and Applejack. A bold, hard working farm gal and a frilly, snooty fashionista.

Well, I'm not sure if my favorite shipping counts here as it is not two ponies. My favorite shipping would have to be Sweetie Belle and Spike. It is just so adorable and she is basically a Rarity that is Spike's age. C'mon, just look at this picture.

 

 

 

But if you want a shipping that includes two ponies, my second favorite is Soarin' and Fluttershy. I've always like this shipping more than FlutterMac. FlutterMac doesn't work becasue Fluttershy and Big Mac are both shy and their relationship would go nowhere.

I would obviously ship Fluttershy and Dashie, since they are both my favorite ponies. Opposites attract totally applies to me and I find FlutterDash very adorable just because of the way Dashie defended Fluttershy when they were little fillies and.......in Hurricane Fluttershy......need I say more? Also the short scene in the changeling battle where Rainbow also defended Flutttershy, OMG I died at that part <33 Also their Find a Pet song and brohoof in Games Ponies Play.....ok, I think I'm done.

 

Oh, and I also love Rarijack too.

I'm gonna have to go with Rarijack as my favorite... The two are just so opposite of each other that it works almost perfectly. With Applejack's brashness and Rarity's drama would be quite entertaining if they were a couple.
