Somepony You Admire

I know there have been threads about favorite pony or which pony is most attractive or whatever but is there any pony you actually admire? For this would be Applejack she is not afraid to speak her mind, humble, hard working not afraid to get her hooves dirty and actually gets to follow her true calling in life which just so happens to involve apples.

I don't really admire ponies persay, but I would look at one in particular for her particular life style.

Pinkie Pie.

 

I love to make others smile and just happy in general, so seeing a character that lives the values that I cherish is a magical thing.

No matter how many of these threads i answer my answer will always be the same. Derpy Hooves.  Derpy Hooves was the first pony I ever saw before I ever got myself into the fandom  and the show.  Here was this eccentric, silly, cute and beautiful grey mare. At the time  I was going through a  dark period in my life.  She was a great comfort to me. So i admire her most of all.

I admire Rainbow Dash and her never-ending courage. Makes you want to cheer for her and be courageous yourself! She gives the the determination to never give up as well! 

 

I also would have to admire Pinkie Pie for the compassion she gives her friends. She's always giving them wonderful gifts and throwing parties for them....how much of a good friend can you get?  

 

So yeah, those two ponies I admire.....but honestly, they all inspire me to be Honest, Generous, Loyal, Kind, and to have a friendship full of laughter and magic.

I obviously admire Princess Luna not only for her somewhat timidness when she first made an appearance but also for her newfound sternness.

Hmm, There's a couple. 

 

I definitely must say I've always admired Applejack.  Dependable and helpful, she is one of, if not, the most mature pony of the mane 6, and it's been shown that she can keep the others in line (she's the one who pulls RD back by the tail).  She's strong and hard-working too, with a great sense of family value, what's there not to admire?  Applejack is usually the first pony to down her pride and apologize to other ponies (Fall Weather Friends, Look Before You Sleep) and she's very caring (Being the only pony to offer taking the long route around the mountain for Flutteshy). Not to mention she's the perfect older sister to Applebloom!  Albeit a bit of stubbornness here and there, Applejack's personality and traits are refreshing and archaic, some that I can't help but admire.  

 

Somepony else I find myself admiring is Shining Armor.  Personally, I've ALWAYS wanted to be the older brother to a younger sister, and if my younger sister was Twilight, well...then my life would be fulfilled frickin' awesome.  Not to mention I get to marry somepony like Princess Cadence and literally throw her to save the day.  Hmm, maybe I am more jealous of Shining Armor than I am admiring him...

 

I do admire Princess Luna, but I can't tell whether it's out of sympathy or not.  I loved Princess Luna's characterization in Luna Eclipsed.  She was the cutest princess ever!    Princess Luna had been locked away for 1000 years by her older sister, but it doesn't seem like she bears any grudges and she proclaimed that she was grateful to Twilight for bringing her back to normal.  There were misunderstandings and misinterpretations in Luna Eclipsed, but Luna had nothing but good intentions.  Not to mention Luna is overshadowed by Celestia (I mean in the show, not within the fandom), and probably jealous of Twilight, she still holds her tongue about it and accepts the more humble title of, "Princess of the Night".  She is somepony I definitely admire.

Zecora easy. She's wise and lives by herself. Being an herbalist and unafraid of a totally self-suffiecent eviornment. Plus love the whole rhyming thing.

I admire all of the six in different ways

 

I admire Twilight for her relentless pursuit of knowledge, her (most of the time) maturity, and how she's able to admit that she's wrong, even if it can be hard for her.

 

I admire Applejack for how much responsibility she shoulders very day without complaining. It is clear that she isn't much older than the rest of the six, if older at all, yet she's already sort of the matriarch of the Apple family. She works as hard or harder than anyone, is a fantastic sister and is generally pretty good about not getting wrapped up in petty things that don't matter.

 

I admire Fluttershy for her courage really. To paraphrase a quote from Ned Stark in Game of Thrones "We can only be brave when we're afraid" Fluttershy is probably more afraid than the rest of the six most of the time, but often enough she manages to rise above that fear.

 

I admire Pinkie Pie for her endless wonder at everything, her ability to put her own positive twist on things and her ability to think outside the box (or chimney )

 

I admire Rarity for her creativity and how she lets it run free. In spite of her general impatience she puts up with really quite a bit for the sake of her friends and sister, because she cares about hem a lot.

 

And I admire Rainbow Dash for her loyalty to her principles and friends, her willingness to put herself aside when the chips are down, her growth as a character and her tireless quest for her dream

 

So yeah, we've got a pretty special group of characters here

I admire Pinkie Pie for being able to get out and public and do whatever the hell she wants without caring what others think of her.

 

I admire Applejack for being so strong willed and honest. Will and honesty isn't always my strong suit...

 

I admire Twilight for being so damn smart.

 

I admire Fluttershy for her ability to be so caring, kind, and forgiving. Again, none of those are by any means my strong suit.

I would have to agree completely. Applejack, particularly with her honesty, is a pony I admire although she is not necessarily my favourite (close close second)

They all certainly have their own merits. To name one, I'll choose Pinkie Pie. She can essentially survive on other ponies smiles. How good of a person must you be to have that quality?

Discord is my hero, I hope that one day I can be just like him. 

 

He makes it rain Chocolate. He gets all the ladies. Logic does not apply to him. He drinks glass cups, and causes things to spontaneously explode. He is also a massive troll, and all he cares about is having fun. He don't care what people think, he does what he feels like. He don't worry about nothing, he just has fun. The guy is the very definition of a winner.

 

I think we all should strive to be like this dude.

I admire the Mane 6 for the following reasons:

 

1. Twilight Sparkle for her intelligence.

2. Rarity for her passion.

3. Applejack for expressing her opinion no matter what the outcome might be.

4. Fluttershy for her compassion.

5. Pinkie Pie for being herself and trying her best to make ponies around her feel comfortable with being themselves, too.

6. Rainbow Dash for her determination and loyalty to her friends.
