Who I should go with: Applelack, because it has so heartbreaking to see her dream crushed, especially when she was doing it for her family. Since I'm somwhat of a great cook. I'll would've have happy to help her make the tastiest treats in Canterlot!

 

Who I want to go with: Twilight (Like you didn't see this coming) I just want to make her happy anyway I could, and if seeing the Princess is what she wants, then damn it, I'll make it happen! I would be determined that Twi would have the best night ever, or die trying!

I really liked Applejack's reason for wanting to go, in order to save up money for her family, fixing barns, replacing hips etc., so she'd be my first choice if given the option with no further information on the gala. However, knowing how the Grand Galloping Gala actually turned out in that regard, I'd probably take Pinkie and try to help her initiative to liven up the party with bumping tunes and dancing. Show them high society ponies what a Ponyville party is all about.

Applejack has the most deserving reason. The others could really do without the invitation, they're just self-serving on superficial desires basically. In the scenario of the episode Applejack also expressed interest first, so it just seems most reasonable to go with her. It helps out her entire family financially.. or so in her perspective anyway.

I'm under the assumption that people would look to crash the gala seeing as how it's the boring even in Equestria.

 

In that case, I would take none other than Pinkie. Her hyper-antics would leave no doubt in anybody's mind that we could actually make the Gala a little more lively, if you will.

Well, deciding whether or not to go the Gala in the first place would be the first difficult question. I mean, on the night of the Gala, we see that the Mane Six don't really have a lot of fun, and the people there are very reserved... As much as I like that kind of peace and quiet... I guess I just prefer loud parties.

 

But... If I did go, I would probably bring Fluttershy! Assuming the same thing doesn't happen, of course...

I'd take Fluttershy. I'm not really one for dances and love the outdoors, so I wouldn't mind being outside the entire time. plus, if she gets all ragey again, i could try to help relax her.
